Fabulous stop for a tasty ham & cheese sandwich with potato salad. Loved the bread! Soft multigrain. Great friendly attentive service. This is a definite must stop on a road trip!

A breath of fresh air in the midst of national chains and subpar coffee joints. Great atmosphere, cute shop, well worth a relaxing break while supporting a small business worth the while.

Not enough yelp reviews for how lovely this place is! Traveling across the US from California , I am not in denial that I am what some might call a coffee snob. I stopped in since a fellow helper described the coffee was nice and the store was artsy. My boyfriend usually orders a regular drip house coffee and so this time was no different. He was pleasantly surprised that the black drip coffee was delicious as is. They must use good quality beans !! I ordered a creamy keto coffee and it was creamy and delicious. The choices of coffee drinks is absolutely amazing and I wish I was in town longer to try more. The service was so friendly and the adjoining store has such cool things. A must visit if you are a coffee lover and are in the area.

If you're ever lucky enough to pass thru this cute little town Ballyhoo is a must stop! Amazing coffee, pastries and an adorable store filled with unique gifts. The staff couldn't have been any nicer, even helped me carry drinks to the car. Such a gem.

Love the vibe here, the people are super friendly and helpful. I had the iced coconut horchata coffee. I give it a 3/5 just due to the fact that the coffee taste a bit burnt but, still was pretty good. Even with the taste of this drink I love this place and the options are pretty rad.

Nice and cute coffee shop combine with antique shop. Drink and cakes were really good. Staffs were nice and friendly! Recommend this place

So pretty on the inside, it's antique on the outside. Quality pastries in Childress (coffee is ok, better than the free hotel coffee) this is a nice solution. Easy in and out parking lot.

One cafe that is completely unique in its appearance from inside, its selection of items for sale, and coffee/tea. You can literally find anything here, though a lot of it is just for ambience. For example, there is a vintage washing machine outside. A stove that is being used as a table. Some deep freezers being used as storage. They also have unique pieces for purchase. There is no common theme here, you'll just have to look and something might click. The walls of the cafe are made with the same tin sheet that is used to make roofs. They have used flattened cardboard boxes to insulate the walls. Inside the bathroom you'll find newspaper clippings used as wallpaper. There is a urinal that is under a mantle. On the mantle are about 7 moisturizers that you can try. They have a very good selection of coffees and teas as well as flavored syrups making their selection endless. Their selection of cakes and cookies is also very appetizing, although we didn't try any. It's a nice place to stop if you are travelling from Dallas to Amarillo and beyond.

Terrific & unexpected in a small Texas town - lattes, expresso & lots of cool stuff for sale .... Right on highway....

Tearing my way across Texas, eager to get home to Albuquerque but knowing that I couldn't do it without a jolt of coffee, I spotted this place out on the left side of the road. It was all rustic shack looking, with an old metal table and chairs, book shelf, rack of vintage clothing - right out on the front porch. I thought, what the heck. What good is a road trip if all you see are the smashed bugs on your windshield? I went a little further and did a gorgeous J turn in front of a local cop. He just sat there and admired my form. "Awesome stunt driving" isn't against the law in this part of the land of the free! The ladies inside the shop were sweet and made a perfect latte. I looked at the pie and thought, hell yes! I got the buttermilk pie because I don't see it outside of Texas very much. They did it right and didn't have it in the fridge where the crust could get all dried out. Cool but not warm, the filling was heavenly and the crust was flaky and perfect. Between that sugar hit and the latte I was rocket powered! I got back in my car and squeeled out of there, spitting gravel, and waved to Sheriff Roscoe one last time. He was a little intimidated by me, I suppose, but he nodded in a congenial way. I love Texas. I love pie. I love this shop.

Great coffee, pastries and sammies, and the cutest little shop! I highly recommend when passing through Childress!

    Wonderful break at the Ballyhoo.

Very good coffee and pastries. Definitely worth stopping every time. Also way faster than MacDonald's drive thru and way better.

Barista was able to honor an off-menu request, and it was perfect. A good stop before hitting the road.

I ordered the combo which I thought included fries and a drink. I ordered a corn dog and a cranberry limeade for my wife. When served I didn't get my drink so I asked and they said a combo didn't come with a drink. I went back up and ordered a drink and asked if they could expedite it since they didn't give me my drink. 5 minutes later they show up with my drink. My son in law had ordered chili fries and they didn't bring it. When he explained they missed it they claimed it wasn't part of the order. He had to dig his receipt out of the trash to prove it. Emily Grace was the manager on duty so we were told. We have never had an experience like this at a sonic. The food isn't the greatest and the cost is getting higher all the time. You really need to bring your A game if you want to keep customers. Whoever reads this I would say bypass this place and go to one of the other places in town. Management shouldn't make their customers dig in the trash to prove what they ordered.

It's rare these days for fast food places to actually have a little pride but this one was great. The little guy who brought out our food was so sweet.
