If we'd only got the burger, I'd be writing a 5* review right now. Let me clarify, the burger was a party in my mouth. Epic burger, cheese, tomato, lettuce, bacon, sauce and a DELICIOUS pretzel bun. My hubby and I shared but we fought over the amazing fries and the bigger half (there's ALWAYS a bigger half!) Now for the disappointment. When I pay $5 for ONE egg roll, it better be the best freakin' egg roll on the planet. True enough, it was the size of my fist, the wrapper was crunchy and well cooked, but the filling was TERRIBLE! There was ONE bite of brisket in the whole thing, it was packed with sweetcorn (I detest sweet corn) and other veggies. I was SO excited by this menu item, brisket egg roll? Heck yes! I imagined lots of meat, molten cheese and a little veg, but it was more like a vegetarian sweet corn egg roll. Poop! Next time I'll stick with the shamazing burger and get my egg rolls from "Quite a stir" at 3 for $5!

I went with the crawfish mac & cheese which I was really excited about. Comes with all of the above plus bacon and green onions...how could you go wrong? Unfortunately, the cheese sauce was like a sauce...kind of like I made some easy mac at home. Crawfish was fine but mac and cheese soup did not deliver. Maybe the other options like fried catfish might be better who knows.

Other than that, they have hushpuppies, a chicken tenders and fries combo, and that's about it. We went with the Asian glaze 10-piece combo. The wings had a little kick to them but I wouldn't consider them spicy. We got a decent portion of fries, a little less than you would expect from a food truck, and they were unremarkable. Not bad but nothing to write home about either. But hey, it's the wings we care about. The wings were large which was a plus in my book and they were pretty crispy. I wasn't quite sure what to order; both the shrimp poboy and shrimp basket sounded appetizing, but I asked the gentleman working and they suggested the shrimp basket. It was $12.99 after tax. Normally they give you a handheld buzzer that lets you know when your food is ready, but they sent me a text message instead seeing that I'm at work. My food was ready in no time and it was hot and fresh. The shrimp basket comes with 6 shrimp and fries with seasoning. The shrimp was delicious! Very crispy and juicy. The fries were hot with the perfect amount of seasoning. It was so good I didn't even stop to try the sauce on the side lol. Overall, I had a great experience with Krazy Kreole. They were polite, professional and the food was great! Hopefully my job can get them to come back, but if not I'll definitely stop by next time in the downtown area!
