Buyers beware Sleep Ezzz Mattress Express are a 100% rip off…read more. Wednesday, August 22, 2018, My wife and I stopped in to look at beds at Sleep Ezzz Mattress Express. She asked a few questions and laid on a few then decided to purchase one. The bed and a few accessories came to $1010.00. She gave the a man $1060.00. Not knowing that 2 $50 bills were stuck together. As the man behind the counter started to count out the money he said I think there is an extra $50. I spoke up and said well that's really good & hard to find now a days honesty. He chuckled and said that's why I've been in business for 30 years. We were gone for about an hour & returned to the store. We got back into the store and exchanged pleasantries. I then said to him we have a bit of bad news. I told him we'd like to cancel the order and we would like our money back. The man was like Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde... He threw his hands up in the air and said oh we can't do anything for you all sales are final. He then said you must of went somewhere else and found a better deal. He said I've been doing this for 30 years and I've heard every excuse in the book. He says all buyers are liars, I said I have nothing to lie about. I was shocked to see the change in this man in a matter of seconds. He said I can't do anything for you until next week sometime. The owner of the place lives in the United States & has all the codes for returns. I said that's fine we'll just sit here while you make the phone call. I said I don't want to leave without my money something doesn't sound right. He pointed at the receipt and said look it says in small print all sales are final. I said yes I understand that but we were only gone for an hour. He said this sounds way too fishy you went somewhere & got a better deal. By this time going back-and-forth I was starting to get upset. we went to the car, A few more minutes past and the old gentleman came out of the store heading in our direction. He said well I made a few phone calls got a hold of the man's daughter and he's willing to give you $900 back He threw his arms up in the air and said that's the best we can do take it or leave it. He opened the drawer where our money was still sitting took off $110 and threw the rest on the counter. My wife begin to count it and of course it was $900 She took it and put it in your purse I said you should be ashamed of yourself. To take $110 from us for doing nothing. I came in and I'm blowing air and you're charging me $110 He said like I told you before all buyers are liars, I've been in this business too long & I've heard everything he said you should be thankful you're getting $900 back I could've taken 25%... I told him no where in your store do I see a sign that says all sales are final. He said it's on your receipt in the small print if you would just read it. I said I get that I understand. My wife works down the street at a big box store called Walmart. I said you know people have always complained about big box stores doing everybody wrong. But you know something they treat their customers right. They don't care what you bring back, if you have a receipt they give you 100% of your return. If there's no receipt they will give you a store credit. Because the big box store remembers one thing. The customer is always right. Hallelujah for the big box stores. You should be thankful you got your $900 I didn't have to do that. Again he throws it in my face all buyers are liars. I said well you need to put a sign up in your store somewhere on your window stating that all sales are final. Everybody in business does this he says. I said no they don't I said the customer is always right go down to the store buy something at Walmart leave it for an hour come back and get your full refund no questions asked. 100% each & everytime. I said I'm not done, he said call a cop call who ever I'm right & your wrong. I said not everybody is dishonest again he says all buyers are liars. This place & how they treat people is uncalled for. They need a course on how to treat their customers.... We left very disgusted & shocked. I lost sleep over this $110 loss. I miss the days of the customer is always right no matter what. Sleep Ezzz should be called Sleep sleaze So if you have nothing better to do with $110.00 go in slap it on a bed and tell them #Jamiesentme

I have been a loyal Sleep Country customer for 20 years. My experience was always positive until…read morethis month. I am sad to write that Sleep Country is no longer the trustworthy business it once was. I strongly caution others against shopping there. In January 2026, I purchased the same Sealy Queen-sized mattress and box spring that I had previously purchased several times from the Sleep Country Canada store, on King Street in Waterloo, Ontario. I paid for "green glove" delivery service. Previously, Sleep Country included delivery cost as part of the sale, however, they have now moved to a third-party provider and charge an additional fee for delivery. I was happy to pay it as I had no other means of collecting the mattress. When the deliverymen arrived at my home, they were not very clean and made a mess. They tracked mud inside and left marks on walls. They also informed me that they could not move the mattress and box spring up to the second floor as these items "would not fit up my staircase." I explained to them that previous delivery teams had had no difficulty. They argued that I must have bought a different product. I walked them upstairs to show them that this was no the case. They said, "Well, we cannot see how other deliverymen got them upstairs." Ultimately, they managed to move the mattress upstairs, but they abandoned the boxspring in my living room and drove off. When I complained to Sleep Country, Amber from customer service called me back. She offered a $100 gift card for future purchases, but said that she could not refund the delivery fee. I explained to Amber that I had paid for a service that I did not receive, and told her that I would prefer a refund. She was unwilling to do this. After buying 4 mattresses and box springs, Sleep Country has now lost my business forever. I cannot recommend them and caution others against doing business with Sleep Country; they cannot be trusted to honour their contracts and will not make things right. BEWARE!

I had the worst buying experience ever. Bought a boxspring and mattress and was told it would…read moredeliver on a Tuesday in about a week and a half away. Did not deliver and after calling the store several times being told the purchase was put on hold but could not tell me why. The Waterloo store could not get customer service in Toronto to speak to them. I called customer service myself and got through the first time. After being put on hold for 15 minutes they said that my order was on hold because they don't deliver to Bracebridge on Tuesday. They just put the order on hold and did not get back to the Waterloo store or the customer...me! I asked when it would deliver but they couldn't tell me plus now they say there is a $50 delivery charge to Bracebridge. I was told in the Waterloo store there is no delivery charge. After going back to the Waterloo store twice and talking to the store manager she finally found out that they would deliver in 2 weeks. This was not good enough after waiting 2 weeks already and my daughter now sleeping on the floor. The Waterloo manager recommended that I cancel the order and get a refund which I did. I went to Sleep Country because they are a large store and I thought I would get good service. Instead I got the worse service I have ever had making a fairly large purchase. I would be careful when they say there is no delivery charge and don't expect them to deliver when they say. Ron P Wellesley ON
