Okay - I would come back here time and time again!! Being out of town, we came here on a whim and…read morebased on reviews. The food was healthy, but TASTY!! It's hard to find health food spots that aren't vegan-only. We loved everything we tried. The breakfast options are whole, filling, and nutritious. The service was friendly and made fresh. It was a casual setting with a few tables inside, right in the heart of downtown.

Excellent food, not so pleasant atmosphere…read more We stopped at Liza's of Troy for breakfast in Feb 2025 based on good reviews and appealing food pics. The order was taken at the register and then brought to our table. The food tasted great and was served quickly! All the dishes had a beautiful presentation! Coffee was a French press and was really good! The place had no cream or sugar for the coffee. Also there were no salt and pepper shakers on any table. When I asked for some salt they gave me a plastic sauce cap with some salt on the bottom to take it with my fingers. It was quite weird. For some reason "Butternut Squash Bowl" had only one egg while all other breakfast items had two. Not sure why this one was special. The real problem however was the smell. The very first impression we got upon entering was a strong smell of fried bacon and other foods. It was like standing next to a stove because the space is fully open, with no divider between the sitting area and the kitchen. In such a setup you need a strong hood exhaust but that in turn would make a lot of noise. Anyway, instead of taking our time enjoying the breakfast and great coffee we had to finish it asap and escape to prevent our jackets absorbing the smell :( We are giving Liza's of Troy 4 stars is it got 5+ on the food and coffee and 3 on the interior and atmosphere. Food ordered Butternut Squash Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Had to order additional egg though. Breakfast Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Big Betty Breakfast Sandwich - delicious.

I stopped at Bowled in Troy for lunch very recently. They served up a variety of bowls including…read moresalad bowls, grain bowls, acai bowls, smoothies, waffles, toast, and cooler drinks. You can build your own bowl with choices of ingredients or they have signature bowls, waffles, and toast too. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Grain Bowl ($9.95 plus tax) which was comprised of brown rice, tomato, romaine lettuce, black beans, jalapenos, tortilla strips, soft grilled spicy chicken and Sriracha dressing on the side. The portion size was modest for the price, but it had very spicy flavors. For dessert, I ordered the Sweet Basic Waffle ($5.95 plus tax) which was a thick soft waffle (not warm) topped with almond butter spread, flax seeds, honey. This waffle was very filling to eat and the almond butter and honey made for a sweet and nutty flavor. Overall, the food here was pretty good and fresh. They also offer Grub Hub and DoorDash food delivery too.

This one is large, clean, and bright, with a row of tables along one wall. But there's a lot of open space here where other tables could exist. All your menu options are listed on screens on the wall, and there's no problems at all crafting any type of bowl as you want. My bowl here included 2 types of greens, the allowed-for extras, avocado added on, and an Asian sesame dressing. It was pretty good, but not strong in flavor, particularly in the dressing. Also, my avocado was very obviously overripe. I still think this is your best option for a healthy meal and/or a salad when you're in the immediate area, I just wasn't (pun intended) bowled over.

I have tried this food truck a couple times now, it's my go-to spot. I agree w/the poster who said…read morethe soba noodles were an issue, mushy.. starchy.. The upside, sub in the zucchini noodles and side step the issue entirely. For anyone who is not down w/the veggie noodles give them a try. Otherwise try rice. I love the "zoodles" BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I can't say enough about how much I really enjoy this food truck. Korean BBQ, steak bowl.. brisket. They're all really good. My favorite is the poke bowl, followed closely by the bruschetta bowl. The staff is the BEST of all the food trucks outside of the Capitol. They make an effort to make you happy, so switch proteins, substitute protein- they have tofu, they'll make it Keto if that's your preference.. They really make an effort to remember what you like.. they take your name w/your order & they get to know you. Today, I bought a bowl for lunch and dinner. Cuz.. that's how I bowl!

Received burnt eggs on my pad Thai that where so burnt they where black and inedible. I went back and got something else to replace it (chicken tikka masala) and I'm so glad on a whim I decided to grab some fries from a neighboring food truck. Because the chicken tikka masala was just as inedible.
