French Onion Soup

The restaurant itself is pretty quaint. The tables are relatively small for our party of 4. Plenty of antique stuff on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Decent enough atmosphere. Ordered the Twisp and a cup of the French Onion Soup. The soup tasted pretty good, but was missing that gooey cheese goodness that makes it so dang good! The Twisp, which is a grilled chicken, ham, pineapple, and Swiss sandwich served with mustard. Only drawback here was the canned pineapple, otherwise it was a decent sandwich.

Get a burger!!! This place has great decor and excellent service (really excellent, kind and tolerant to banter) but the vast menu manifests in certain dishes being much more hit-or-miss than you'd want, especially with all other components of the dining experience being so good. Unfortunately, the last time I was there the tough meat completely undermined the night. Just get a burger, they seem to do them well consistently.

Not bad, the burger patty was very thick but also dry. Each mouthful melt super dense and heavy to swallow. Not enough cheese to really taste it on the burger. I thought the engraved bun was fun but otherwise the meal was lacking in flavor and moisture. Fries were subpar, although appearing so be heavily seasoned they were bland and either undercooked or burnt. The only saving grace of the whole meals was the excellent service. Our waitress was a nice young woman with glasses and two braids who was extremely kind and polite. Her service was by far the best part of the meal, thank you. The building was also nicely decorated and gave off a vintage vibe.

What can I say about this restaurant ....but it is absolutely delicious. The food is amazing and the service top notch. The entire restaurant has antiques and collectibles in a unique and interesting style. The menu is massive.

Delightful local place has good food and great friendly service! The mixed drinks were delish and the price is fright! Will visit again!

Seafood Pesto Penne

Was back visiting my family and was looking for a good place for dinner. We decided on the Breadline and don't regret it one bit. The decor of the place keeps you looking around finding new things every time you look-very fun. We ordered the Osaka Cod and Seafood Pesto Penne. Both were great tasting and there is plenty for takeout. Service was friendly and we didn't feel like being rushed out the door even though they closed before we finished our meal. Highly recommend!

This place is awesome! So much crazy character and you feel welcome. Craft beer on tap and they even bake their own bread for their menu!

As a native of Southern California, I humbly concede that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to…read moreMexican food. Weather enjoying a Carne Asada burrito at one of the fast food stands that ends in -erto's, enjoying a meal at long, gone places like Acapulco, or bellying up to some swanky new wave fusion place with rainbow colored tortilla chips and "salsa flights," I've tried them all. So when I say that El Torito bar and Grill is a good Mexican food restaurant, that should mean something. Moreover, is someone who has visited 49 of the 50 states by car, with a family of five in tow, we've definitely stopped at our fair share of Mexican food restaurants... Some of them were amazing, and some of them were no Bueno. But this place is an honest to goodness, authentic Mexican food restaurant. Your first clue: the rice and beans. I know, they come with everything... But if you don't know how to make real rice and beans, the rest of it really doesn't matter. This place knows what's up. The burritos, Carne Asada, fajitas, combination plates with things like enchiladas and chile rellenos-- everything here is delicious. Modestly priced, but for the only game in town place, it's a pretty good deal at 20 or 30 bucks a head. Service has always been very good, and the shot of tequila when they bring the bill out is always a nice touch, especially as you're about to include the propina. :) The vibe inside is laid-back, with casual visitors, families, and groups like us... People visiting from out of town who are here to enjoy some local fishing, and the welcoming comfort of local business. Just a few steps from our favorite hotel in town, we will always plan to enjoy at least one evening meal here together when we visit Omak.
