I had Mary as my hair care proffesional and she was extremely attentive to what I wanted but also used the upmost caution in maintaining the integrity of my hair. We not only discussed our initial visit, but a long term hair care plan to get me to the level of blonde I desire with the least damage and maximum growth possible. Not only Mary, but all of the other hair care professionals that I could overhear were very friendly, appropriate and mild mannered. The salon is small but at maximum functionality and great use of space. Everything is well organized and clean. I was a bit nervous when I was advised that someone else would be doing my hair at my next appointment and would follow the prior girl's instructions. Long story short, the right side of my hair has high/low lights, the left side and back of my hair has straight color and my hair looked like straw. Moreover, when I lifted my hair I noticed that I still had major black roots in the back. The whole experience from the wash to the final comb out was abysmal. I complained to the manager/owner who initially agreed to do my hair over for me. However, when I stated that I still had dark roots in the back, she got mad and said that "they clearly would never make me happy and she would remove me from their client's list." Very disappointing for an Adler salon.....the customer's satisfaction clearly isn't this manager/owner's priority and the final product was not worthy of what they charge!!!! When you're a retired widow you spend money wisely and do not appreciate poor customer service.

Ms Cole was able to create a plan to make sure that I was taken care of on my wedding day and had it booked in her calendar with no deposit. Ms Cole was able to style my hair with extensions within 45 minutes (I came with my hair washed and dried)! I was very surprised, but happy as I was early for our wedding. I was happy with my hair and I received many compliments on it the day of and after. Ms. Cole's price was a little higher than I usually pay for professional styling, but within the price range for bridal styles in the area; in fact I think she was a bit low for total service (bridal style with ext) for the area as well. Her location is right across the street from Crazy Pins. She's a busy lady, so you want to book her quick! Ms. Cole was also willing to speak with my via cell, email, and text regarding any questions I had, which I really appreciated being very accessible. Ms. Cole was very professional, kind, and fast! I do know Ms. Cole travels to Chicago once a month to service her regular customers there.

Truly there has been nothing that I personally let her do that she could'nt handle. She has performed each of the previously mentioned services for me alone, but the best part is how healthy she has maintained my hair through each stage. I have been natural for a year now, but prior to transitioning Shawana helped encourage me every step of the way because she understood the journey I was embarking upon. She was extremely informative and patient throughout my process. Any questions I had about my hair she took time to explain, but most of all she made sure I was able to understand how to care for it myself in order to maintain its integrity in off weeks. Shawana is not just a stylist she is a teacher. I also have 3 daughters who are natural and the growth I have seen in their hair has been amazing. She somehow manages to address their individual needs and personality each time she sees them. This can be a challenge since they range in ages from 6 to 15, but everytime my children leave they look age appropriate and they are all happy. One of my favorite things about Shawana is that she is by appointment only! Gone are the days of sitting in a salon waiting for a stylist who has 3 or 4 other clients with my same appointment time. I am usually finished within 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the service I am having. Who could ask for anything more!!!! There is so much I could say about her, but if you don't do anything else at least take the time to do a consultation and determine for yourself the next step you would like to take. She is Fort Wayne's best kept secret, and it won't be long before those appointments become harder to come by as the word gets out. I guarantee it will be worth your time.

Both ladies were so sweet and did amazing!! They are pros. On the day of the wedding, they arrived early to my house. I was a little nervous they did my makeup so early in the morning since my wedding was during the early afternoon. Luckily my hair and makeup stayed in place all day. Also enjoyed the facial they offered which helped the makeup last longer. You get what you pay for - meaning that you could go to Ulta or Sephora to have your makeup /hair done, but Red Stiletto artists will conveniently come to your house, which is so helpful.
