This is a beautiful place to relax. The service was phenomenal. The front desk took care of me quickly and helped me navigate their check in process. I was paired with Kevin who gave me a great massage during my pedicure and was absolutely meticulous on my manicure. He made sure I had a beverage and that everything was good, from water temp to nail color. I was embarrassed about some skin stuff I had going on but he reassured me that it wasn't a big deal and I was put at ease. The building itself stands out among others on Lima Road and the interior is modern and clean. It was well staffed and the music was vibey and quiet. For her $35 GEL child's pedicure (not pictured), I was told it would last up to 2 months and 3/10 toenails had polish *completely* gone after FIVE DAYS. My gel pedicure also chipped after less than a week. I left a voicemail explaining my displeasure and did not hear anything back. This is my go-to nail salon these days. If cleanliness, quality and consistency are important to you then this is your place. Kenny did my nails and I was impressed by his attention to detail. He actually got out the tiny design brush to ensure the lines on my french tips were perfectly straight. I tend to go to the same couple of nail techs and can trust in the finished product. Twan does a really fantastic pedi that cam ladt 4 weeks. I will admit that the prices are a bit on the high side. My acrylic fill with designs and shellac was about $69. They don't do regular polish on nails anymore. My peppermint and eucalyptus shellac pedicure was $62. read more

The only reason I come back is because of Kenny. He does an amazing job at hand painting the "marble" look onto my nails. The place is very over priced. Each time I come I spend close to $90.... just not worth it unless I'm wanting marble I always feel rushed, never relaxed like a spa should be when coming here. I've had a few awful pedicures where they rush to get you done and don't care about following the steps of a normal pedicure. The front desk receptionists have been rude multiple times. I called and booked a 50 min light massage for $60. The massage was fine but not exceptional. When I started to pay, he said, "You ordered a light massage with neck and shoulders." I didn't! I was planning on paying the $60 massage and a $20 tip and coming back for a mani. So, he said, your total is $85, and with the tip, it was$100. This was a gift card with two extra coupons that were $20 each. I asked if I could use one for more of a tip? He said no because I had to spend over $100 in order to use the coupon! I just paid the $100 and vowed to never go back. I know it was free to me, but I wonder how many customers they are overcharging. I'm very disappointed! My wife and I decided to get French manicures here in preparation for a wedding we were attending. We called and made an appt for 9am the next day. We had different manicurists and my wife's was done in 20 minutes. Mine was done in the usual 45 minutes. My nails were nicely shaped and the white parts were even and smooth. There was two applications of clear polish. My biggest complaint is that my cuticles were cut too closely and started to bleed. It was very painful when they kept snipping them. My wife's experience was similar. Her nails were not shaped evenly and she even had a snag on her nail. She had a rough ridge where the white was not clear coated completely and they started chipping by the 2nd day. She was very rushed through her service. At the end we were seated separately for our nail drying and had to ask to be sat together even though no one else was having their nails dried. The facility is very large and can accommodate large groups. They have an upstairs area for relaxation as well. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and I would not return. read more

First, BAO is amazing. He's worth 5 stars himself. If you're able to come in and ask for Bao for a pedicure, I highly recommend him. He was gentle and also really good at making sure I was comfortable and my toe nail beds were clean. He was SO SO friendly and super sweet and worth the visit, to be perfectly honest. Otherwise, the service was a bit slow. When I got in I stood there while two people walked to the front desk and essentially ignored me. I finally had someone greet me and I let them know I was waiting for my friend who was getting a facial there (not sure about their experience, but the aesthetician seemed nice) I would say - worth it for a pedicure, I got the Milk & Honey and it was $46 - but I would say only if you went to Bao. They also don't really do appointments - seems primarily walk in unless there are multiple people and services you're doing. read more

What a disappointment this place was, especially for my first visit! I called the day before for an appointment and scheduled 11am for my friend and I to both get manis with shellac. When we arrived we were asked to put on masks, due to health issues I have a very difficult time wearing a mask, I was told I had to unless I had a doctors note stating why! So I took a lot of meds one and put on a mask. Currently I'm on crutches and moving around is pretty difficult, I was asked to move 3 times and my friend and I weren't sat together. The person I got did a good job on my nails and I was allowed to stay in my seat until both of us were done so I could pay. I wasn't offered any water although I saw most of the other nail techs get clients drinks. Horrible experience. My son spent his hard earned money on a $200 gift card online from Cali with the help of his aunt. When ordered they were told plastic cards were oos due to Christmas. So to have me bring in paper reciept with confirmation etc. After just leaving there they would not honor the gift card and had no way to tract with confirmation number or order number and there was nothing they could do about it. EDIT- it's not been 24 hours and one of my nails broke, I came in for them to hopefully fix it for free and the manager said "we don't have mail warranty's" and wants me to pay to get it fixed. Two times in a row I've went in there and checked their prices, had a set total in my head just to get to the register and it be wayyy more then it should be. The nail techs add in so many ridiculous extra charges and fees. Went for a fill, with one nail replacement & one solid color on both hands (gel as well) (already had coffin when I came in) they tried to charge me $56 for a fill. The owner And or manager came up and told me my nail tech charged me for stuff he shouldn't have. But they only took $18 off. So for me to get a pedi w/ gel, fill with gel, & my two year old to get a kiddi pedi and nails painted with gel they tried to charge me a total of $158. Got my nails done and the design looked like a child did it, so I went back the next day and had them remove the design and paint a solid color. 2 days after getting my nails redone and there are layers of gel that are already peeling off. They are always so rushed and are not worried about quality, rather quantity. I gave them a second chance, lesson learned I guess. They try to up charge you on everything, then get mad when you say no (Unfortunately typical though). My pedicure was mediocre, but my manicure was the worst I've had. When did they stop doing cuticles, massage and oil? I sat down, immediately it was file and started to do the base for dip polish. Finished the last layer and tells me to wash hands and meet up front. The pictures speak for themselves. I was never asked for shape (I had medium length nails before he cut them all short), so much excess it looked absolutely horrible. I went to pay and asked him if he was done and it was clear he was when he told me the total. After I told him that it was a horrible service and showed him, he brought over a bottle of cuticle oil (because he never did that during the actual service) and POURED it into my hands at the counter. Today I chose to go to Cali Spa. Most of the time I didn't experience the best customer service but they did a decent job on my mani and pedis. Today I will officially not be going back again. I went in to get a French manicure done without shellac. They tried hard to push me towards doing shellac and I told them no multiple times. I was charged for removing my shellac I had gotten done there last time I went. After I got done getting my nails cleaned before the lady was going to paint them, the lady told me I must pay now. I told her I would pay afterwards like normal but she said I need you to pay now so your nails don't get ruined. I went ahead and agreed to pay..I also tipped her hoping she would do a good job. Needless to say, she did absolutely horrible! It's the worst manicure I've ever gotten. She would not look at me the entire time she did it. She did one coat of polish for my entire nails after sitting under the dryer for 10 mins. I advise everyone to be careful who you let do your nails there and if they don't like that your not doing shellac when you tell them, leave! I wish I would of. If your doing only shellac, you may be fine to still go? Most the guys I've had do pretty good. -One thing I forgot to add is my last manicure with shellac was chipping the first few days so that was why I didn't want to get it. Just left and while my basic shellac pedi was fine, my shellac manicure on my natural nails took an hour I asked for no length to be taken off as my nails were just getting past the end of my fingertip and I had shaped them pretty square the way I wanted and I said to keep them very square he proceeded to continue to file them down shorter til I had no length left and they are all different lengths and rounded corners! I wanted a French tip with a base coat just so you couldn't actually see my nail. He was rude and didn't help at all. I had to choose a base color to try and match my nails, that didn't go well, so I did a swirl pattern with white so it's not plain. I was bleeding and the nails are too thick. I have gone here for years, pretty religiously. I went in for a manicure before my wedding. The technician (an older man) was beyond rude to me. He shoved my hand away when done and grabbed the other one. He was pretty rough, did not trim or file or anything. He did not follow the same technique that other technicians used for the gel polish. He did not apply lotion or clean up around the nails at all when complete. He was beyond rude. I contacted Cali Spa twice to make them aware f the situation - not expecting a freebie or anything, maybe an apology at minimum. I ended up going somewhere else to get them redone and corrected. Women get their nails done to feel beautiful. There is just no reason to be so rude to someone. Services vary - I am not a picky person, but at least be nice. I will never return here, which makes me so sad. There were other technicians that I liked. But giving no response to a poor service experience is the only response I need to know how much the owners value their customers. read more
