I have always, though, wished that I could work on me, because I've just never found someone who does exactly what I'm looking for, until now. Mr. Diaz has been doing therapeutic muscle massage in Fort Wayne since 1996. He is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. He does, what I would call, more restorative and preventative massage. I love his style because he doesn't just do a patterned session. He listen to my complaints and issues, asks clarifying questions, then listens to what my body needs as we work. He may work longer or more specifically on one leg then the other, because that's what he feels your body needs, he's not going to just strictly devote 5 minutes to one side, then 5 minutes to the other. Also, he's not afraid to exhaust the muscle. I don't like a fu-fu masage, I want to feel my massage, and I want it to hurt in that "good pain" sort of way. This is not to say he would act this way with all clients, but is to say that he will work the way that you enjoy and feel is the most healing. He also gives me homework: stretches or exercises to help improve and prevent further injuries. I have a 10 year old whiplash injury, plus 5 years of massage during the same time, so I know pain and muscle tightness ... and this guy can workt them out! You cannot beat his prices! He charges only $50 per hour ... many in Fort Wayne that are much less experieced and more "spa" less "preventative and restorative" charge $75 or $90 per hour. Ten years ago when I did massage in a rural town, I charged $45 for a hour, so this price is really stellar!! I've never had a problem getting in within 1 - 2 days. He's truly a talented professional!
