Let me start off by saying I got a manicure and pedicure that with a $6 tip, cost me $87... This Spa is not worth the money at all. First off, I went and waited about 45 minutes for my pedicurist to come to me. Then for the next hour she kept getting up to get whatever she needed for my pedicure. Not only did I ask for only a basic pedicure, I was pressured into purchasing one that was $46 because she basically wouldn't let me just get a regular one. When she had gotten to the point of painting my toenails, I had noticed that one of them began to crack and tear off already and she noticed it as well but did absolutely NOTHING but paint over it. Then it was time for my manicure... more waiting. About 25 minutes of waiting, a girl finally got to do my nails and was rushing because it was so busy. For $86 and 3 hours worth of my time, I should've had much better customer service than I did. My experience was terrible and I won't be returning, not for that price. read more

The positives - Great exterior, fast check in. That's it. The guy working with me looked annoyed the whole time. He asked me what I wanted to drink but never actually got it. I asked again, he didn't get it. Anytime I said anything, he looked to another tech and they would laugh. He did not have a name tag nor did he introduce himself. For my manicure, I again asked for something to drink. I got nothing. I had to soak my nails in alcohol to get the shellac off. The filing was terrible. Nail length is uneven. I told her she missed cuticles, she said it's dry skin. Terrible experience. Never going back again. Definitely not worth the money. read more

Disappointing! I went for pedicures with a friend, and neither of us had a good experience. I got nipped repeatedly (cuticle cutting!), they weren't sure what to do with my pinky toe nails (and I've never had this problem), and overall felt rushed. The place *looks* clean, but when I got up I saw how they "cleaned" my tub. There was some spritzing involved and a little wipe with a towel, but no scrubbing! I agree with the previous post about the size of the place. It is set up for large parties, but doesn't feel relaxing if you are alone. Short version: I've been going to Cali Spa for a long time. They have always provided good, friendly service in the past. I do not recommend Holly. She is rude, unprofessional, and my nail was crooked! She appears to be a manager. She was rude to the employees and she was rude to me. That says a lot about a person. Everyone else I've had has been great! I recommend Cali Spa! Try their massages too!! Long version: I always have a good experience at Cali Spa. I've been going there for a long time. Holly was my nail tech for the first time recently. I had a couple nails repaired that had broken. Holly recommended I get shorter nails next time I get them done. Which was confusing because my nails are short. She tried to tell me Shellac, which they actually use a different brand of gel polish, only works on really short nails. When my nails were done about a week ago Jon (who did a great job!) made my nails as short as they could go, as I requested. I thought there was a language barrier and asked if Holly meant long? She rolled her eyes and said something in her language to the tech sitting next to her. Then they giggled. The other nail tech butted into our conversation not knowing what was said. How unprofessional of both of them. Holly left me sitting. Who knows where she went. She never said I was supposed to leave my fingers under the light four times instead of the usual two. She came back and asked did you do four times? I said, no, you didn't say that. This wasted time I could have been done. She left me sitting again. To top it all off my nail/overlay was crooked!! I couldn't stand to be around her another moment, so I left once I paid. I didn't want to cause a scene. I am a faithful customer, I have gotten manis, pedis, fullbody massages, reflexology, a facial, and my eyebrows cleaned up. Heck I've even brought my boyfriend for a pedi and I've recommended Cali Spa to others. Always great service! I would not recommend Holly, who appears to be a manager of some sort. I feel sorry for the employees who work with her, because she orders them around every time I'm in there. They really don't deserve to be treated that way and neither do I. Listening to the customer instead of talking over them goes a long way. I've had just about everyone that works there and they all have been friendly, professional, and provided great service. Loved this place! As a cosmetologist cleanliness is important to me and it definitely exceeded my expectations. My pedi was wonderful i didn't have to ask for anything to be changed and I'm pretty picky. I got one of the more pricy pedis with a scrub and a mask and fresh citrus and it was so worth it. Never again will I go back to this place! The front desk staff was unfriendly. I wasn't made to feel welcomed. I felt rushed. I couldn't communicate with the tech. The tech didn't take my rings off before putting my hands in paraffin wax. Worst of all, she cut all of my cuticles off which made 4 of my fingers bled and hurt for 2 days afterwards. The next morning everyone of my fingers where covered in hangnails. It is now 6 days later and I'm still battling ENDLESS hangnails! Giving this place 1 star is being to nice in my opinion. I will never go back to this place again. I took myself in my daughter to get pedicures today August 31st 2020,and it was the worst experience at a nail salon that I have ever had. I got the milk and honey pedi, and my 7 year old got a regular pedi. The lady who did my daughters nails kept arguing about the colors my daughter wanted. The guy who did mine was talking with an attitude about my ticklish feet to the lady who was doing my daughter's. I kept apologizing and he never responded besides saying ok. We got regular polish, and I knew the dryers were down because of Covid, so I asked to sit there after we were done for a few minutes. There was no one waiting, no line, and there was only me, my daughter, and one other lady getting our toes done. As soon as the guy got my top coat on, he said pay now. I asked if we could sit there and let the polish dry, and he said if we could pay now. I gave him my card, and the lady who did my daughters nails was making her get out of her chair. The guy came back with the receipt and my card and walked away. I gave a $10 tip on a $65 bill, handed it to the lady and asked if we could sit there. She looked at the tip and said we had to leave. My friend and I decided to come here, so I called ahead and made an appointment. I got right in but my friend on the other hand waited 30 minutes to be seated. When she was seated her nail tech was doing a whole other job. Mine was very nice but I ended up not like the shape of my nails the next day so I called and they said they could get me in. He also was not attentive to my cuticles and nothing was done to care for them or anything... So, I come in the next day and she files my nails down and makes me pay $6. Worst pedicure I have ever had. $51 to basically have my toe nails painted. Requested a Deluxe Pedicure ($35). Upon entering spa was asked if I wanted regular polish or shellac, having had several pedicures in the past I knew the shellac would be an up charge but not $16. The tech did not touch my heels or any other places on my feet that callus' tend to form. The tech also did not apply any lotion to my legs or feet. She did a very short sugar scrub. Even though i still tipped him (20) the service was bad. Three days later two nails broke off. I went back in and he blamed me for the broken nails!!!! Basically was yelling at me. First of all this was a gift to my sister and I from a friend. Full boat: 60 minute massage, 60 minute facial, gel mani and a pedi. My massage was ok. Could have used more pressure because it only felt like lotions/oils were just being rubbed onto my skin. The therapist was pleasant and friendly. My sister was in the same room and really enjoyed her massage as she had some issues in her shoulders and neck. On the flip side our facials were awesome! The neck/shoulder massage was way better than the body massage. Now comes the disappointing part: the mani/pedi's. While the leg/foot massages and accompanying fruit rubs were pretty good, when it came to the polish they were lacking. I picked out an aqua blue with glitter but was presented a tropical green with glitter. At this point I had been there 2 hours and just wanted to move forward so I went with the green. My sister got the color she picked. The quality of the polish left us wondering just how old this polish was. It was thick and didn't go on very nicely. Oh well, let's just move forward. Next our mani's. I got the gel and absolutely loved the color, but again was presented with the wrong color at first and asked for the correct one. The shaping and color with gorgeous. I was very happy or punch drunk with this being my 4th hour there. My sister spent a good 15-20 minutes explaining she didn't care for gel and wanted just a regular polish. She even asked if there was a gift card available for the difference in price. No go. "Must get what's in the package." Overall I probably wouldn't go back for anything except the color of my gel. I haven't seen it at any other salons as it was in a "book" of sorts not the standard nail/color choices on a ring. We were well taken care of with water, etc. and offered wine if we cared to drink alcohol. Was disappointed in the quality of the pedi but happy with the mani. My sister's mani polish was so thick it was almost clumpy and did not go on her nails with a smooth finish. read more

This was the worst pedi I have ever had. We had a group of 10, and because I was paying for myself and my daughter, we just got the classic (least expensive). I feel because I got a cheaper service, that the tech did not put any effort into it. She did this very fast and sloppy. When I got home, my feet were still dry and calloused. I work 60 hours a week, plus I go to school and do volunteer work. I don't have a lot of extra time. When I went back they said there was nothing they could do about it. They said I had to come back in 3 days. I came back 3 weeks later because it was the first free day I had. They are overpriced with sub par customer service. Don't waste your time or money read more

My experience here was absolutely horrible! I took my boyfriend there for a relaxing day. I went to the front desk and asked for 2 pedicures. The lady said ok, and told us to wait. 20 mins later And we were still sitting there. I'm pretty sure they forgot about us because a man looked at us, spoke to the lady at the front desk in a different language and said "I'm sorry, are u getting pedicures? Follow me." At this point I was already frustrated. The ladies who gave us pedis were so unprofessional! They never greeted us or acknowledge we were there. The whole time they spoke to each other in a different language (which prior I saw a sign of their policy that they dont do that) and gave us the fastest pedi I've ever had. I have been coming here for a LONG time!! I tip my nail tech who is Michelle anywhere from $20-25 for a pink and white fill each time I come. I ALWAYS make an appt well in advance. I have sat and waited for her commonly for over 30 minutes!! My appointment was at 9 am this morning and I walked in the door at 9:05. There was not ONE client in chairs yet. Michelle was in the back and sent a receptionist out to tell me she couldn't do my nails cause I was FIVE minutes late!! When I said I commonly wait for her and I was a long time client who deserved better treatment than that in a very calm voice I was told they were going to call the police if I didn't leave!! I was APPALLED!! I am 51 years old and have never even had a speeding ticket. I'm not a trouble maker!! I have had nothing but terrible service and issues with this salon!! I own a large well known business in town and I have referred countless clients to them. But I will NEVER step foot in their doors again nor refer one more person!! I know ALL too well how terribly important customer service is. Businesses live and die by it. This place needs to learn no matter how "big" you get... treating people well STILL matters!! I have been going to cali spa for several years. Language barier is horrible. He does want he wants in regards to the shape of the nails. If your request pointed you get square. First time visit 6/17/17. At first I was having a nice pedi, until the girl doing my toes painted on my sandals. She used acetone to clean my sandals twice. I was wearing Rialto beaded sandals (similar to Birkenstocks) and I was not happy b/c not only did she keep painting sandals until I told her to stop, but I am concerned the acetone will eat away the glue of my sandals, and they are not cheap. The name listed on my receipt was Tiffany. She did not apologize until I asked to speak to manager. Front girl in long dress wearing Birks came over and apologized also. Said her name was Amelia, but she didn't seem like a manager to me. I always thought of Calispa as a luxury spa. I came here for a girls afternoon and unfortunately was not impressed. We had pedicures, and upgraded to the scrub. My sister's paint job was sub par, and they didn't even add a top coat. Pamela (legs) and Holly (brazilian) were both very professional and friendly, quick, and thorough. I wrote a previous less-than-favorable review after a manicure and pedicure I received on July 17th. My concerns are very similar to most others expressed due to very poor quality and lack of customer service. (I was in town for a wedding from Chicago, spent a lot of money for the service, generously tipped an unfriendly technician, and the manicure chipped excessively the following day.) However, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a brief reply and a request from the owners to call them. I responded to the request after the wedding and was told that the owners were out of town. I was asked to leave my name and phone number and was told that they would call me back upon their return. Guess what....I have never received a phone call! Just another confirmation and example of the lack of understanding of the importance of customer service! There really is no excuse.
