Word of caution do not use nail color 070 from the book if you are looking for more of a brown color for your nails. After two coats I asked Carmen if the nail color will be darker on the third coat. - Wasn't sure how much darker it would get. - Put a third coat on and it wasn't. Just more orange. She compared the nail sample against my nails. Not even close. Product color was not what was shown in the book on the nail sample, same number on the jar. I was not offered discount. I asked if she could throw a more brown color over it (like the sample in the book. ) -Can't do that- Was expected full price. All other nail salons that I have frequented do not leave you walking out with a totally different color than what you selected. Not going back. read more

After years of having unmanageable hair I can finally wear my hair down. It was a work in process but Sarah was all in for the challenge. After moving to a new city and my old stylist being a half hour away, I called Bernadette's to see if they could get me in for a trim. After asking numerous questions I made an appointment. Initially on my first visit 4 months ago, everything was fine, and the stylist I had (April S.) did a great job, she was friendly and listened to what I did and did Not want, and she was more than understanding that I did not want hair products with chemicals put onto my hair, as I haven't used chemical shampoo, conditioners, and styling products in over two years. My SECOND visit a few weeks ago was an entirely different story. When I called to make my appointment with April, it wasn't made known to me til I arrived that there were in fact 2 April's that works there. This last time April B cut my hair, and though it wasn't completely awful, she didn't listen. She used a razor on my ends which I had stated that I DIDN'T want, because I hate what it does to my hair. She basically insulted me saying something about my fake red hair being remarkably healthy, well... I was born a red head and will be til the day I die, also she made a snarky comment to the fact that I came in with wet hair. I use all natural organic, chemical free shampoo, so I'm not going to put regular shampoo on my hair. She was rather rude and short when she spoke, when she actually did speak to me. She came off like it was a burden to then dry my hair when all was said and done. Yes I have long, thick hair, but its your job. I didn't request anything difficult or time consuming. She didn't have to wash it, as I already had. Because of her I will never go back. If I had been made aware that there were 2 April's that worked there, I'm sure I wouldn't be as dissatisfied as I am now. April's S.......5 stars, April B........1 star. read more
