    Resort

I just spoke with Kate, and I was one of the guests staying at Blue Water RV Resort who was told on June 20, 2026, that reservations were required to eat at the restaurant. It is disappointing to now see guests being called liars regarding their experience. Whether the restaurant is owned by Blue Water RV Resort or independently operated, there appears to be a serious lack of communication between management and employees. Guests are being given conflicting information, which creates frustration and reflects poorly on both the restaurant and the resort. As paying guests of the resort, we expected to be able to enjoy dinner after a day of fishing, especially since no one informed us at check-in that reservations would be required. Businesses need to ensure that all employees are providing consistent information to guests. Unfortunately, based on the reviews and our personal experience, the restaurant's service and food quality have negatively impacted our perception of Blue Water RV Resort. During our previous visits, when the Seahorse restaurant operated here, the customer service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and guests were always welcomed. The restaurant was busy, both inside and outside, yet they still managed to accommodate guests. I hope management takes guest concerns seriously, improves communication with staff, and focuses on providing the level of customer service that resort guests deserve. We will be posting all this on both the restaurant page and Blue Water RV Resort on google.

We stayed at Blue Water RV Resort for Father's Day weekend and participated in the fishing tournament. After the tournament, around 6:30 p.m., my family decided to have dinner at the resort's restaurant and enjoy the live band that was playing on the deck. Unfortunately, when we arrived, along with several other resort guests, we were told that we could not be seated because the restaurant was accommodating a large group and reservations were required. This information was never communicated to us when we checked into the resort. What made the situation even more frustrating was that there appeared to be empty tables inside the restaurant. Because we were unable to eat at the resort, we had to drive approximately 30 minutes to Galveston to find dinner, which also caused us to miss the live music we had hoped to enjoy. Several other resort guests were standing in the parking lot equally confused and disappointed after being turned away. This was our family's first stay at Blue Water RV Resort. Since we knew the resort had an on-site restaurant, we only brought breakfast and lunch items and planned to eat dinner there Saturday evening. Being denied access to what is advertised as a resort amenity was extremely disappointing. Management should do a better job communicating reservation requirements and ensuring resort guests have reasonable access to the restaurant, especially during busy weekends and special events. Better communication alone could have prevented a great deal of frustration. Overall, the resort itself was nice, but this experience significantly impacted our stay. Sadly, because of this experience, we are unlikely to return. I had to add to my review after the person on here calls herself the owner. As a business owner, after reading your response to my review and speaking with multiple guests who were told the exact same thing about needing reservations, it appears you are calling not only me a liar, but several other guests as well. The owners of Blue Water RV Resort should take a serious look at how this restaurant is being managed. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend dining here. I encourage potential guests to read all of the reviews and make their own informed decision. Genuine customer feedback matters, and transparency is important for any successful business.

Delicious fish sandwich and they split it for us which was perfect!

The Bluewater Drift is located at the Bluewater RV Resort. It is clean, casual with great views. It's a great place to eat or just for drinks whether you are at the RV park or live nearby like myself. The patio has corn hole and a couple other games you can play. Service is always with a smile and the food is good. They make a really good fish sandwich! I would skip the chips, salsa and queso though; It's all store bought.

My husband came down to the RV resort a day earlier and grabbed a bite to eat at BlueWater Drift. When the kids and I arrived the next day he told us what a great po-boy he had and I decided I had to try it too. I ordered just the shrimp poboy the way it comes. It was huge and excellent!!! My kids helped me eat my fries and also the shrimps that were falling out of my sandwich. It was awesome!!! I would definitely order from here again. And so easy to pick up and take back to the RV for dinner.

We Loved the fried fish sandwich and fish tacos. The fries were tasty also. We also loved the chocolate Chess pie. Very fresh hubby says. Will try the Buttermikk pie next time! You can't beat the sunsets on deck. Service was very good.

Absolutely the best view in the Galveston/Freeport area! Wrap around deck with the beach ocean view on one side and bayside view on the other. We didn't discover this gem until the last day of our trip, but be did get to enjoy the best pizza in two counties and quite possible the best biscuits and gravy in Texas! The chef, Uncle Roy, knows what a cat head biscuit is! Looking forward to our return and exploring the menu. Bonus, they have a catch and cook! You catch it, they cook it! DO NOT DRIVE BUY THIS PLACE THINKING IT IS JUST AN RV PARK!!! Cannot wait to return in the summer for many sunset dinners and drink. You must stop by and meet Donovan and Georgia, perfect hosts!

Everything was good. Good was good. View was awesome. Mimosas were good. Service was friendly. I would go back. 4 stars for sure!

We sat there for almost 2 hours, and they never brought us our food. Drinks and service was the worst.
