Before I tried this place, I had thought I've had all that there can be in breakfast tacos. NOPE! Lupita's takes breakfast tacos to a new level with their fajita option. Ordered a hippo breakfast taco with the beef fajita addition and...Oh. My. Goodness. It was amazing. I was a bit skeptical at first thinking that beef fajitas would be too heavy for breakfast. But it went so well with the eggs, and of course it's not beef fajitas without the sautéed veggies. If you didn't think eggs, beef fajita meat, and sauteed veggies was enough, it's not a hippo if it doesn't come with bacon and potatoes. So this taco is by definition, "all of the above." The salsa complemented everything so well, I'm still dreaming about this taco. It's a little more pricey than your standard breakfast taco, but the beef fajita addition is definitely worth the extra cost. nondescript place in Freeport like many others in the area. Took a chance and was very pleasantly suprised. They have plate lunches which I did not try but they look good. Definetely not Tex Mex which is a good thing. They have burritos basically which i would say is their specialty. I ordered the steak one with various other things, cheese, peppers, cilantro, tomatoes. very good. fresh and tasty, not a lot of fat but very filling. If I could I'd give zero stars. The food isn't bad, it's ok. But the owner can be really rude at times, just now me and my coworkers were trying to place an order. Coworker A calls but the lady that answered didn't understand him(she didn't speak much English).
