My husband and I were looking for a breakfast brunch spot at about 1:30PM on a Saturday. We came to this little spot hoping for the best possible outcome and we were pleasantly impressed! We each got the Huevos Rancheros plate with flour tortillas. The food was cooked to perfection and the tortillas were made in house which is a definite must when at a Mexican restaurant. The service was also great and I personally really like the ambience. We will absolutely come back again. read more

Before I tried this place, I had thought I've had all that there can be in breakfast tacos. NOPE! Lupita's takes breakfast tacos to a new level with their fajita option. Ordered a hippo breakfast taco with the beef fajita addition and...Oh. My. Goodness. It was amazing. I was a bit skeptical at first thinking that beef fajitas would be too heavy for breakfast. But it went so well with the eggs, and of course it's not beef fajitas without the sautéed veggies. If you didn't think eggs, beef fajita meat, and sauteed veggies was enough, it's not a hippo if it doesn't come with bacon and potatoes. So this taco is by definition, "all of the above." The salsa complemented everything so well, I'm still dreaming about this taco. It's a little more pricey than your standard breakfast taco, but the beef fajita addition is definitely worth the extra cost. Consider this brunch, because you probably won't be eating a lunch after having one of these. read more

nondescript place in Freeport like many others in the area. Took a chance and was very pleasantly suprised. They have plate lunches which I did not try but they look good. Definetely not Tex Mex which is a good thing. They have burritos basically which i would say is their specialty. I ordered the steak one with various other things, cheese, peppers, cilantro, tomatoes. very good. fresh and tasty, not a lot of fat but very filling. I went back and got a 'veggie' one without beef and it was almost as good. you can pretty much get what you want on it. The quacamole is very good as well. highly recommended read more

I had ordered the Bistek Ranchero and it was supposed to come with a side of rice and nopalitos but all I got was the meat in a burrito version? Update: the meat was dry as well read more

Cannot beat that very efficient and delicious Mexican restaurant. Plenty of parking and even a drive through.

Doesn't look like much for a reason this place sucks i thought it was a good idea since me and my family where starving but got here and flies everywhere there was no one there on a saturday afternoon we where thinking of great place all to our selves but no there's a reason no one was there we hated the food we barely touched it i took one bite out of my torta and god it was nasty we ordered chips and queso as a appetizer and the chips where stale we asked for a refund and the lady just told us no when we have full plates barely touched it was so nasty and after that my sisters son threw up as did her daughter and they shared the same plate DONT GO HERE read more

If I could I'd give zero stars. The food isn't bad, it's ok. But the owner can be really rude at times, just now me and my coworkers were trying to place an order. Coworker A calls but the lady that answered didn't understand him(she didn't speak much English). The lady handed the phone to the owner and he handed the phone to me(Spanish speaker) and I was starting to place the order when she abruptly hung up on me with a tone that no one should use when speaking to customers. RUDE!! read more

Great fan favorites and taste delicious. The cleanliness could use a little TLC, but the food made up for that. read more

Lupita's Mexican - Still as good as I remember. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Freeport, Texas

We came in on a Sunday to eat menudo and it was actually pretty good but my bf and I found hairs on our food ... the lady was nice enough to change to another bowl of menudo. Well the other day I decided I wanted menudo again and it was delicious like last time but I ended up finding a plastic thing that was covered in the menudo , so I had no idea that it was plastic until I observed it closer ... I have heard great things about Lupitas hippos and breakfast but unfortunately with the menudo I had no luck and will not return to buy it . read more

Food is good, but the staff needs help !!! And what's bad is... I used to go there offten. Unfortunately my race was the issue and it happened on more than one occasion... This has been my go to place in Brazoria County for breakfast tacos for over 10 years. The food makes up for anything else this place may be lacking. The service has always been excellent; someone at the counter can always speak English. Get a hippo with cheese, you won't regret it. read more

Great breakfast, especially The Migas plate! The reason for four stars, and not five is that when busy, they're not properly staffed, and the service can be really slow! Pastor tacos are off the charts!!! read more
