Pretty good for late night- especially when nothing else is open in Cedar. Somewhat sketchy local characters but seemed harmless.

Great burgers and tenderloins. Hand cut fries really good especially with the burgers and sandwiches.

I went in to get a burger and fries and they have the Zoltan machine like in the movie BIG. Great atmosphere and fantastic food. It was highly recommended by a good friend and it was spot on. Everything was perfect and as ordered. I came back for the nachos and it's another fantastic meal. What a great place! I should have something other than the tenderloin sometime but its truly great. Beer selection is rather impressive. Staff, generally, gives off the "get going so they can flip more tables vibe" rather than the "stay and have another beer" vibe, otherwise i would give it 5 stars. Just a bit more welcoming and conversating the guests and even recommending beers, food, etc could go a long way to warming up the atmosphere. Either way ill always be back. read more

Hey you, server dude. How about focus on your table and less on rolling the silverware. The server gave us our drinks and then I think he forgot he had a table. We had to tell him that we wanted to order two appetizers. We ordered the apps and food then guess what...our food came out before our two apps. He forgot that we had orders two apps until we asked him. So then he brings them...after our food. ‍ He never cleared anything off the table until we were done eating. Actually, one of the other servers came by and cleared off some of the dishes. A $4 tip would have easily been a $10 tip. Food was mediocre at best. Nothing to write home about. Me and my friend got the burnt ends sandwich. The meat tasted like it was out of the Walmart frozen food section. The fried cheese bites were the best part of the meal. P.S. There was a spider crawling in and out of the cracks in the wall directly over my head. Sorry Blind Pig...We won't be back. read more

Third trip to the Blind Pig. And for the third time I had the tenderloin. My gf had the Chicken Caesar salad. The service was friendly and efficient. It's a bar, so don't expect something else. Families are welcome. The food was excellent. First the salad. It was loaded with fresh, crisp greens and topped with heaps of grilled chicken, real bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and hard-boiled egg. It was a huge serving. Next up the tenderloin. It was big enough for two! And for an extra $3 you can add a second bun and a second side. The tenderloin itself might be a little thin but not overly so. It was hot, crisp, juicy and flavorful. It was topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion and sandwich pickles. My side of fries were perfectly hot and crispy - perfectly seasoned. All-in-all, great place with great food! read more

The first evidence of this change is the condition of the entrance - hundreds of cigarette butts litter the parking lot and area around the front door. Some of them are embedded in dried vomit. Its very inviting in that trashy college dive bar way. Inside feels the same - grimy bar carpet and beat-up fixtures. Not exactly fine dining in any aspect. Given the outward appearance I was surprised to see an older crowd on a late saturday night. Mostly townies/locals throwing back drinks and singing karaoke. The bartender singing 'ordinary people' while cleaning tables. Amazing talent tonight. I dont know if they still do food, whenever I get out there its just booze and the kind of service you might expect at such a bar - proficient drink making without much in the way of presentation. If you feel like going someplace 'nice' look elsewhere. If you feel like going out for drinkies and don't really care if you have to step over vomit and trash to get inside...this is your place. Their pork tenderloin is nothing to joke about! They say it is the best in Cedar Rapids, it is good enough for me to say it is one of the best tenderloins I have had in a long time. Went here with a customer and some coworkers and the place was packed. Got there for happy hour and the place was jammed! Luckily, after happy hour, we were able to get a table and got some food. I got the philly, with their homemade chips and dip. REALLY good!!! Too many peppers for my liking but I knew that and should've told them to just go light. My bad. This is a bar with bar food, my husband went out for a sandwich and a drink, this place delivered. It is not very clean, the wait staff are disinterested in the guests or their job. The Diablo burger was spicy, greasy and filling. The tator tots were extremely over-cooked. The steak sandwich was probably the better of the two sandwiches but beyond being filling not much more to say. The homemade chips were stale. The Bloody Mary was spicy and the best part of the meal. This is a place you go to in order to kick back with friends, have drinks, watch the game, or play pool. The food is incidental. If you want to go to dinner, or want good food, pick another place. We picked up supper tonight. My husband ordered the jumbo tenderloin and I ate the extra bun and veges. His tenderloin was at least 1 full pound! and thick. I stopped in with my sister for drinks after work. Server, Courtney, was not very personable and continually had to track her down for drinks. We had also intended to order food to go after having a couple of beers, but we were never asked if we wanted menus. I was finally able to get Courtney's attention long enough to ask for a menu, which she threw on our table in passing with out pausing to ask if we needed any drinks. After tiring of playing hide-and-seek with our waitress we asked the bartender, Mia, for assistance and received great service. Drinks were filled, to-go order was prompt, and Mia was quick when we asked for our check. I'll be sure to only sit at the bar from now on. Management should probably address server standards. I doubt they find it acceptable to ignore select tables in a section in order to play grab-ass with friends/regulars. read more

We came here from out of town. The food is delicious, especially for bar food. It doesn't compare to most bar food. The pulled pork sandwich and pork tenderloin sandwiches were delicious. The girls that work here are more caught up talking with them selfs then doing their actual job. We even tried coming on different days and run into the same problem. In the former Londoner location, The Blind Pig is much more of a bar that the previous business. Frankly I like the old atmosphere better. It gets very loud in here especially with drunk people laughing hysterically. One woman obviously over-served, could barely walk out on her own. The food is very good though. There are only two non-sandwich entrees but the burgers and sandwiches are more chef inspired that your average bar food. I recommend the beer battered, thick cut onion rings. Not too overly battered and have a great flavor. The Caprese burger was creative and tasty. The Philly was good but not over the top good. Only one server to tend bar and wait on all the tables. He worked his butt off but didn't appear overly stressed. I'd probably go back for lunch or a slower night when there's fewer drunks. read more

I've been here many times, the food quality is really consistent! I ordered the Rodeo burger with tater tots and was very impressed. The place can be a bit noisy and it took awhile to get my check, but those are the only two knocks. Think gourmet bar food. read more
