The absolute worst experience of my life. I had an appointment for me and my groomsmen to get fitted for my upcoming wedding, and they called me the day of our appointment, only two hours before and stated that they had to cancel my appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. I had one groomsman flying in from out of town for the sole purpose of getting fitted, and they called just hours before to cancel the appointment. When I asked the customer service representative, what their solution was to the problem, they stated that they could give us a $20 voucher, and schedule another appointment. Based on others reviews who had had the exact same issue, it is likely that the future appointment would just get canceled as well. There is absolutely no sense of concern from the employee I spoke to. Just a word of advice from a stressed-out groom, do not use this place and just go to Men's Wearhouse. read more

We are still in the middle of this stressful confusing and expensive time suck with this location and company. Find another place to book your wedding tuxes with. Nothing but added stress, confusion, time wasted and sucked from your life that you'll never get back and during a season of life you don't have it spare. I'll be shocked if everyone even gets their tuxes let alone the right tux and on time. Signed up a month ago for an appointment at 5:30 pm and me and my fiancé rearranged our work schedules. Got a notification at 1 that day saying that the appointment was canceled and that the only thing I could do was set a new appointment two weeks later at 1:30. We then drove to the location to get an explanation, or at least book a more reasonable time since customer service over the phone refused/were unable to help, and were told by Nordstrom staff that the black tux was closed on Fridays and the black tux employee wasn't even there. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Borders on fraud. read more

This is a great company. I didn't want a run-of-the-mill tux rental (You know what male warehouse I'm talking about). I went to my local Nordstrom for a fitting. Everything here has a very updated, modern look and is VERY high quality. The Black Tux is located inside the men's department at Nordstrom. Service was great and the gentleman who helped me at Park Meadows Mall was superb. He knew exactly what I wanted and knew the very latest trend in Men's wedding party fashion. i.e., don't match your pocket square to your tie, pant length is fashionable dropping right at the ankle. It's pricey... for mine it was about $220.00, but very modern and definitely not rental looking. I received my box in the mail two weeks later and everything was perfect! Everything looks brand new and untouched. After you're finished you ship it back in the prepaid box. If you don't have a Nordstrom near your that offers this service, they will ship you a tux to try on... which means you can wear a luxury tux at any location in the United States. I highly recommend The Black Tux and would never use another rental service again. read more

EDIT: since writing this review I was reimbursed for the money spent on rush shipping and my own personal order. I appreciate their action on this and have changed my review to 4 stars. I ordered this for myself (groom) and seven groomsmen. Most groomsmen had no issues but my sizing was wrong 3 times. I had it sized at the showroom first, then self sized it twice with a soft tape measure. First the jacket was too tight, then the sleeves were too short, then they were too long. I finally had to sew it myself the day before my wedding since it got there so late (and I had to pay more for rush shipping). All of my vendors did a great job except for TheBlackTux. I'm giving two stars because the service was quick and I know other people who had good experiences. But for me I'd never use them again. read more

HORRIFIC experience, end-to-end. (Wish I could give zero stars.) Here's why: As a company now owned and operating out of Nordstrom - who is known for standing-by their products and have excellent customer service - I expected the Black Tux to fall in-line with the same quality and experience. This, among being told by their own employee that alterations done by Nordstrom were included, is why we chose the Black Tux. Firstly, their online user experience is horrific. From creating an account to adding your groomsmen in the backend to invite them to rent/buy, the entire UX/UI side of things was BAD. (It was actually shocking... you'd think an online retailer would at least have that figured out.) Anyway... So we schedule our in-Nordstrom fitting session with TBT, and the associate we were working with was at least 15 minutes late and it was obvious he was either new or simply lacked the training needed to perform his job to meet the basic standards a customer would expect. When I asked him if my fiancé, the groom, would be able to get complimentary alterations through Nordstrom on his purchased suit once it arrived, he said YES. Fast forward to the suit being delivered.... It definitely needed HEAVY alterations. (Which was shocking, since we had him measured by TBT associate so the measurements would be spot-on.) So my fiancé takes the suit back into Nordstrom for alterations - where he's now met with brand new, contradictory information that they DO NOT perform complimentary alterations on suits purchased from TBT. So now, we're sitting here with a suit that is highly ill-fitting (come to find out, ALL suits from TBT are off-the-rack - whether you rent OR buy - even if you go into Nordstrom to be custom fitted. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS!!) and need to find someone to now completely alter/restructure the suit to fit his slender body-type. So we take the suit to one of Nordstrom's recommended tailors and are quoted 350 DOLLARS for the work needing done. This is more than what the suit is worth!! One of the core value propositions for TBT for us was that the alterations to make the suit fit perfectly were included. With that no longer being on the table, the whole scenario didn't make sense... but of course, they make the groom buy the suit first online to then invite all the groomsmen to get theirs, so by the time we learned of this additional ~$350 tailoring/restructuring cost, it was too late because all of the groomsmen had now purchased theirs. Although there are a few other contributing factors that made this experience a nightmare and added salt to the wound, (like instead of them standing by their word and delivering the complimentary alterations we were promised, they offered us a $15 credit - LOL!!!) I HIGHLY advise any couple getting married to NOT choose them. Don't be fooled by the Nordstrom association - you're not getting a Nordstrom-quality experience. Definitely go with Indochino or another company instead. I would like to offer TBT an opportunity to make this right. If I do hear from them, I'll be sure to provide updates to this review accordingly. read more

Great experience!!! I rented a suit for my son's wedding in September. The experience was 5 star from the measurement appt. at Nordstrom's in Park Meadows and through the rest of the process. The suit came on time (two weeks before the wedding) it fit perfectly and was of extremely high quality. Tux came in a sturdy box with a nice garment bag containing the suit, all I had to do was unfold and let the suit hang and it became wrinkle free within hours. The return process could not be easier and because the wedding was out of town I was able to drop it off at a FEDEX office in Arizona. I was very impressed with the entire process. read more

worst experience I've ever had for a tux! I would give them less than 1 star if I could. They charged me for a replacement jacket that needed to be overnighted. when it clearly states if you need something shipped within 48 hours of receiving your tux. that it will be free. when I got both my tux and replacement it was so wrinkled I had to take it to get dry cleaned. also went to return the tux to them by the correct date and they're charging me an additional $60 when it was shipped by the deadline. Over all worst customer service. if you can get a tux local your much better off this company is TRASH read more

Scheduled an appointment for a tux rental fitting. When I showed up nobody came forward to assist me, when I approached an employee to tell them about the appt. They told me the person wasn't here and apparently weren't sure where he was. Given that was the only individual to fit me and leaving work early for this and having nothing to show for it, is simply terrible customer service. These don't look like the cheap, starchy tuxes you're accustomed to seeing -- we actually had people stop us while we were taking group pictures outside to see where the tuxes were from. Susan was rude, passive aggressive, and you can tell she just hated her job. Now, I COMPLETELY understand the concern with covid and trying on, but she would not allow ME to measure my fiancé to find a better fit, she literally did the bare minimum for us and just not a pleasant woman. We then had put in his measurements online from just taking a quiz. When it didn't fit she look at him and made her recommendations to order an additional at home try on. Only one shot at getting a size. The rest she did by looking at him? How can you order a rental after trying it on once? If you'd like more clarifying details, I would be happy to address them but Susan is definitely not who you want as the face of your company. For that reason, we will not be renting from this company for our wedding. read more

I rented a suit from The Black Tux for my daughter's wedding. The process was super easy. I visited Nordstrom's for the fitting. The suit was delivered a couple of weeks ahead of time in case I needed alterations or pressing. The suit fit great and was of very good quality. After the wedding, I packed it in the box, put on the return tag and dropped it off with UPS. It was extremely easy. I would highly recommend The Black Tux. read more

This review is based off the saleswoman Susan who "helped" us tonight: Quite possibly the WORST customer service I have ever received. We arrived at our 5pm appointment early and checked in with Susan. We let her finish her appointment and went to grab a snack from the Nordstrom coffee bar. When we returned she spent 25 minutes going over sizing and measuring. It was 5:25 when my fiancé first tried a suit on. We brought his best man with us as well so we could figure out what we wanted our groomsmen to wear (our appointment was scheduled for two people). We asked her multiple times if we could have him trying suits on at the same time she said they didn't have his size and he could not try anything on. Keep in mind we were having him try on all the sample coats since she was not being helpful. Finally, at 5:45 she got our best man in a suit and then immediately said your appointment is almost over so you need to hurry up. Our best man tried on ONE suit in an hour and my fiancé tried on two...She was so rude, and not helpful at all. She sat down between outfit changes and spent over 10 minutes on her iPad each time. I had to ask her about pocket squares, shoes, and we just went to a different department to grab a tie because she did not grab one for us. We drove over an hour as this was the only location in Denver and we did not accomplish anything. We went next door to the men's department in Nordstrom and bought a suit in less than 5 minutes... The suits and tux's looked really great, we are hoping to still order groomsmen suits through the Black Tux as we feel they look much better than Men's Warehouse. However, if you book at the Park Meadows location I would request to have your appointment with another salesperson for the sake of your sanity. read more

I chose The Black Tux for my wedding after I had seen some advertisements that indicated they had a more modern fit. I had worn some tuxes from Men's Wearhouse for some friend's weddings and I just never felt like I looked very sharp. The Black Tux NAILED it. I couldn't have been more happy with the fit or the service. Everything was incredibly easy - I didn't have to worry about a thing. Worst service imaginable. Stay as far away from this company as possible. Their employee was an hour late to our original consultation. They took 5 weeks to respond to an email and have already pushed back delivery date for our orders. We realized our mistake and asked for a refund a month before the wedding. Nope. They will only issue account credit, which of course we will never use. So, in short, they take your money and run. If you want to eliminate stress from your wedding, do not use this company. read more

The man who helped us, his name starts with a "R" (Ramon?!?!), was stylish, professional, took the time to educate us without being pushy... a real pleasure to work with (and my husband and I are total pain in the neck customers!). The fit was nothing short of perfect, it looked like it was Taylor made for him and it arrived in PLENTY time for the event, granted we did not wait until the 11th hour to go to Park Meadows and do the fitting. It's ok... better than Men"s Wearhouse but I did not have the best experience. My free try on arrived very wrinkled in a box. Unfortunately it was not something I could correct on my own as the silk lapels had some bad warping. I could not get past that during my try on and they wanted to charge me 40 dollars for another suit after I lost hope in the one I had. Will look for a local small shop. I don't doubt that they can be good but shipping over a suit in a box all wrinkled is a pretty bad first impression. Seems out of place for the Nordstrom Brand honestly. read more

We just used black tux for our wedding and it was perfect! Everyone looked great and it was really easy to go to Nordstrom to get measured and order the suits. The price was great at $140 for the suit and shirt underneath. We had recently had to use menswearhouse for a friends wedding and it was about $100 more and the fabric and fit was not great. The quality of the black tux suit was fantastic and we honestly wanted to keep the suit for my husband (unfortunately the color we had-Blue-was not available for purchase). My Tuxedo was delivered quickly, was exceptional quality and did not look like a rental at all. It looked brand new (everything, shoes, jacket, slacks) and everything fit perfectly. Tux came in percent condition and fit like a glove. Best part was the return. Throw it all in a box and drop it off. I have friends who left other well known places very disappointed. This was a very disappointing experience for us. Measurements taken at the store then you order the details on line. Received Fedex. The jacket was damaged-no front closure button. We emailed them immediately-took three days for a response. No solution offered that day-as they had zero jackets in his size available. The day before prom they offered a larger size. NO FURTHER correspondence from them after I said that wasn't a good solution. I have asked for a partial refund. Nothing...nada...radio silence. He want to prom tonight in a damaged jacket for which I paid 200 for. VERY unhappy. read more
