I would suggest coming back in a few weeks once they've managed through grand opening learnings. We live locally, and have seen the artwork on the window of what used to be D's Soul Food Cafe for what I'm estimating is 12-18 months minimally, potentially 2 years. We've been looking forward to them opening for a while. While we've visited and supported many new businesses in town over the years, and they all have to get their "sea legs" when opening, this establishment left a bit to be desired due to: 1) no staff present - there was literally no one behind the counter for up to 15 minutes (it seemed everyone was in the back, as you could here people behind the curtain) 2) lack of clarity on what they had to sell/offer customers--when someone did come out, they didn't ask if I needed help, so I asked if I could order, she said sure. I asked if there was any food left (they are a biscuit place and nothing was in the pastry case by the register with no food on sight). She said she wasn't sure and had to check. 3) whatever they did have at one point, they ran out of very very early which left nothing on the menu to order (but coffee)--there was not food to order. Once the employee came back, she said that they ran out of biscuits (the only food item they sell and their namesake) not even half way through their business day (3.5-4 hours in) and 5 hours before their business day ends. I was offered to order coffee if I wanted. I chose not to (I came to try the biscuits). 4) no communication externally--if they're sold out, even placing a hand written sign in the window would be helpful. Seemed like they were so overwhelmed that they didn't even know what they did/didn't have to offer. I really hope they work through some of the above opportunity areas and I'll try again in a few weeks. Interested to try what their namesake product tastes like.

It looks like a legitimate business, but after my first visit I'm not so sure. I placed an order through Uber (which can be finicky, I get it) and walked in to hear the systems were down. My order hadn't even been started, so I had to wait. The girl at the counter told me she wasn't sure what they had in stock--if it's on the menu, shouldn't it be in stock? Isn't the one job here to actually have the ingredients? Meanwhile, the customer behind me wasn't acknowledged at all and left after five minutes with no service. Eventually, the worker came back to say one of the three items I ordered wasn't available, and that I'd need to go through Uber for a refund (kill me). I thought about grabbing a biscuit from the display case until I noticed the fly casually hanging out on it. When I finally got my breakfast sandwich, it was painfully dry and just plain gross. I tried salvaging it with some hot honey, but it didn't make the rubbery, cubed chicken any less depressing. On top of that, the sauce I specifically ordered was completely forgotten. I really wanted to leave a great review--I like to support small, local businesses--but honestly, I think a kindergarten class could've put together something more impressive than what I experienced here.

First time stumbling upon this spot! The crispy chicken sandwich with homemade honey sauce (BBL Drizzy) was to die for. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. The biscuit was hot and soft. My boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich which was great too. His only complaint was there wasn't any ketchup on the table lol and the only employee working was too busy for him to ask. But otherwise everything was perfect, and service was great.

Such a sweet place! Stopped in for coffee and breakfast and I'm so glad I did. Their biscuits are phenomenal, so fluffy but also that textural crunch on the outside. Soso good! It's so bright and well lit inside with a popped out window seat which you can sit at if you're lucky. Dana took my order, made me feel welcome and brought my food out piping hot a few minutes later! Great biscuits, service, and ambience. Lovely local spot to hang out and read a book on a calm Sunday evening.

Not amazing, not terrible. Wouldn't rush back but the location is pretty good. Maybe it will improve over time.

My go to is the Bbl drizzy, the Biscuit, perfect size & texture so soft mixed with the honey butter and fried chicken, it's to die for.

Asian meals that pack flavor, thoughtfully prepared, and at an atmosphere that is pleasant and welcoming! Service was quick too and just what we needed since we have a restless toddler lol the casual ambiance was very appreciated as well. The bulgogi bowl was delicious, the sandwiches satisfying and the drinks refreshing! there are ample seats too and the design is modern and bright. I would definitely love to come back and try some more from the menu!

Staff was great super attentive, offered us free water (nice touch), and even made some conversation. You can tell they've got a good team in there. The food was very good. I got the sweet and spicy chicken bowl and really enjoyed it, chicken was great, rice and egg were both solid. No complaints on quality at all. The only downside is the price. A little over $20 for that size bowl makes it hard to justify going regularly. That's really the only thing holding this back from a perfect rating. Overall, a cool fast-casual spot with good food and great staff -- worth checking out, especially if you catch a deal.
