I used to shop at this store for years until my daughter had a bad experience with the owner. I won't support her business anymore. Selection is small since it's a small store. Felt like the quality had gone downhill for the price. Skip this store go to Salt and sea read more

I'm a 34E and the struggle is real - finding a top that fits me and provides coverage, support, comfort and looks good on my 50-something body is like finding a unicorn - we were in Kaua'i for the week and I had been in and out of multiple shops looking for a bikini - walked into The Bikini Room was greeted by Gisele and told her my dilemma - she was like "yep I've got the perfect top for you" Im always skeptical cuz this has been a lifelong problem, but sure enough she had me fitted within minutes - great style top that meets all the requirements - I bought two plus her high waisted bottom - I'm thrilled hubby is ecstatic that we can stop shopping lol win-win plus she has an online shop and ships to the mainland for $10 bucks - love read more

Listen, by the time you get to middle age not a lot of us are excited about trying on bathing suits much less having to sport one in public. Okay, I do have this one friend, but as a former model, she's an anomaly. And even she complains thought we all through our salad at her when she does. She'd look amazing wearing a couple of corn husks. All any of the rest of us wants is a suit that highlights the good parts - which we've all got - and de-escalates the not-so-good ones. Due to serious illness, it had been at least four, maybe five years since most of my parts, decent and scary, had seen sunlight. So, hospital-white me timidly entered The Bikini Room on our second day in Hanalei. I was sort of lost, holding a black top when Gisele the lovely shop owner who designs everything in it, gently asked if I was willing to try some other designs? She held up a pair of bottoms that looked far tinier than my middle age butt felt comfortable with. Then she told me she's been designing for 27 years, and had a pretty good eye for what would look good on people's bodies. Who was I to argue? Considering my last two shitty Target bathing suits had promply died after three wearings. Just feeling the super silky, yet extremely strong fabric you know it's worth every penny. But when I tried on those bottoms she'd given me, I couldn't believe how good I looked in them. My pancake, white as snow ass somehow looked like someone else's bum. It was beautifully cut, and didn't ride up. I put on the top and came out of the dressing room feeling pretty damn special to show Gisele. She nodded sagely, and adjusted it a bit so I had a little cleavage action going. Now, there was no stopping me. The last time I was this excited about a bikini was probably the first time I came to Hanalei - something like 33 years ago. It felt amazing not to slink off into the shadows. My husband peeked into the shop, and said, "Woah, you look incredible! You should get another one." My husband does not utter those words, like ever. So I did get another, duh. In another beautifully patterned print I'd been eyeing. By the time I left, Gisele and I were old friends. As great as I felt in the shop, I felt even better on the beach - the true acid test. People complimented me on both of my bikinis the whole time we were there. What is this voodoo I'm SO not used to? Gisele is so incredible at her craft, trust me. I mean trust her. read more

Went here last week on our honeymoon and wanted to take home a new swimsuit from Kauai. The reviews were great so I checked it out. The sales associate was the sweetest and let me try on a bunch of styles! She made me feel very comfortable and confident the whole time which doesn't always happen while swimsuit shopping! The material is hard to explain (softer than Lululemon "align" if you're familiar with that)- it feels so good and doesn't pinch anywhere, yet it is supportive and secure! I loved my suit so much I came back and bought a second bikini and a beautiful dress made out of the same luxurious fabric a couple days later before we left Kauai to go home. I can absolutely see why other non-local customers said they continue to purchase online- I plan to as well! Thank you for the A+ experience and the best swimsuits I've ever bought! read more

What a beautiful little store! Excellent customer service and flawless quality and design. If you need, or want, a one of a kind suit, this is the place to go. read more

My new favorite bikini store on the island! My sister and I both ended up getting two new bikinis because the styles are so flattering and the colors/prints are so cute. The material is comfortable and lightweight yet still holds everything in place for surfing/exercise. I work in swim retail myself and I was so impressed by their suits! Gisele helped us and she gave amazing customer service and was so kind. 10/10 recommend and will be coming back for more suits! read more

Absolutely go here if you need a new bikini. They have very high quality products. I'm also a little larger on top and the lady fit me with no problems. She also picked out a great bikini for me in less than 5 minutes- she knew exactly what would fit and what style I should wear just by looking at me. So the two things I can say are: 1) For sure go there. 2) Ask for their help. They know better than you. If you think you know- you don't. You'll look fabulous at the end of it all. read more

When I first went to buy from this company, I experienced an issue in the bottoms, but as soon as I voiced it to the owner, she immediately sent me a new pair and was a HUGE help. Definitely recommend this company for not only the suits, but the customer service!! read more

I took a drive over to Hanalei to shop at this bikini shop. The hours were 11-5 on Sundays so I showed up at 11:45, to my surprise they still hadn't opened for the day. I had some lunch and came back. I was the only customer and I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed help until I was done looking (she was too busy on her laptop). I was ready to shop and drop some cash on a new Brazilian bikini but was put off by the service. I ended up at Bikini Planet the next day, the service was great and the selection was better. Found two awesome bikini's that I couldn't live without! read more

The Bikini room is the best bikini shop in Kauai. Giselle is very knowledgeable and will help you to find the exact suite that will fit your body type, I was very excited getting my new suite, I think its the best swimwear I got for my self. Tons of QUALITY options to choose from. Trendy styles and cuts, Brazilian and local HI made suits, which I liked. Gisele was super helpful and knew about every single suit/style/color/cut in there so she was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for ASAP. I bought a top and a bottom. Haven't taken them off since. Like I mentioned, good quality, nice colors, HI made, and they are actually functional for swimming and surfing.....even for larger chested girls (which is hard to find). I'd highly recommend going here before you buy a suit somewhere else in town for twice the price that is going to fall apart in a month. read more

A perfect shopping experience. We came to Kaua'i with old worn out suits but Bikini room got us a much needed upgrade. I was in HI last month and searched the entire island for that one bikini that would stand out and the Bikini Room was my last place and last hope. I entered feeling defeated but became hopeful when Giselle helped me pick out the perfect size and colors! The best part about the bikini is that it was hand made in Kauai and a one of a kind! As I was changing, my friend and I noticed a sewing room and asked Giselle if she could help repair a backpack of ours that had ripped on one of our hikes and without hesitation, she was more than happy to help! She was quick, efficient, and best of all super friendly and the most helpful person we came across! read more
