Dylan and his shop provide the textbook definition of customer service. The Bearded Brewer provides equipment and knowledge to home brewers of every type, and every level of experience. I first went in two years ago with zero experience, and found myself warmly welcomed. Every time since has given me the same feeling. From equipment upgrades to the silliest of questions, Dylan has been there to help, to guide, and to recommend. The shop is small enough to feel like home, but is capable of providing everything needed to begin, sustain, or improve your home brewing. read more

Dylan is the real deal. He knows so much about recipe formulation, and all different brewing equipment. Check him out before going to Amazon! read more

This is exactly what we need in town - a place to go and get everything you need without having to wait for shipping. The prices are comparable to what I would find online, but with the bonus of having a brewing enthusiast on hand to give me advice on what would work best as a new home brewer. Having this shop has been a saving grace as well when I have forgotten a key component for a batch, and need something ASAP. I've been here for supplies several times, and plan to continue coming back again. read more

The Bearded Brewer - Our Belgian Saison! - Brewing Supplies Near Me

One-stop shopping for the home brewer -- friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Dylan, the proprietor of the Bearded Brewer, is possessed of an infectious joy for brewing that energizes and informs. A starter homebrew kit of high-quality equipment is quite reasonably priced and about $400, and Dylan will take the time to figure out what your budget is, what your needs are, and help you navigate a way to meet both. And along the way, you'll learn about how to brew, the science of what's happening inside your carboy while you're brewing, the nuts and bolts of how to get the beer ready for drinking, and what to look for in your second, third, and successive batches to make really great beer. Starter brewers can get a boxed kit with grains, malts, and hops; more advanced brewers can select their own combinations and produce their own special recipes. He's got wine making, cider-making, and cheese-making supplies, too. The cider is ridiculously easy to make and costs, bottle for bottle about 30% of what it costs in a grocery store. The beer works out to less than a third of the retail price, too. Once you start making your own homebrew, you may never go back to buying a six pack at the store. And Dylan will show you how, with huge encouragement, all the intellectual support you need, and the pleasure of knowing that there's a happy homebrew community forming here in the Antelope Valley, all centered around this friendly, well-stocked, and fairly-priced shop. read more

This place is top notch..It's super clean and filled with everything needed to get you brewing. Beer brewing is one of those hobbies with a high barrier to entry: The only thing more complicated than the list of equipment you need to get started is the complexity of the craft. Compare learning to brew at home with learning to cook at home. With cooking, you can taste-test as you go and recognize mistakes on the fly. With brewing, it may take one or two months before you even know that you've made a mistake. Worse still, the amount of time that's passed and the number of variables that have emerged make it extraordinarily difficult to recognize what mistakes you've made. Well, Dylan here at the Bearded brewer really helps with everything above, he takes the time to give you advice and answer any questions you may have. He goes beyond what you would see at any business around. His kindness and knowledge is highly appreciated.. read more

Dylan, the owner of the bearded Brewer is probably the most beer knowledgeable person I know. I think there's a good chance that he really does know everything about beer. Dylan is also one of the most friendly and patient people you will ever meet. I walked into the bearded Brewer to learn about brewing about 9 months ago and he was extremely helpful and courteous and took his time explaining the different options for equipment and brewing techniques etc. I have now been back to the bearded Brewer probably 30 times and each time I've been very happy with my service and products. The shop has a great selection of brewing ingredients and products and will special order you many other things if needed. I would give The bearded Brewer 10 stars if possible. read more

What can I say. They have everything you need to homebrew all types and styles of beer. from simple starter kits with all the equipment you need in a box all the way up to advanced commercial equipment. Everyone there is very nice and very helpful. The knowledge of beer they have is extraordinary from how to write your own recipes down to just plain knowing the science of every aspect of beer making from the water that you start with all the way to your finished product. I don't know why anyone would buy anything online with a great retail store like this in town. If you're thinking about starting brewing or you already brew this is the place to go. read more

I have always been wanting to start brewing some craft beers, and this Christmas I decided to treat myself to a brewers best brew kit. Dylan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am a online shopper and let me tell you, his prices are all right there no need to shop online. I walked out of there with all I needed to start brewing for a little under $300.00. I have since started my first batch of beer a 2015 HopNog limited release (which they carry) and cant wait to taste it. I will always buy all my recipes and equipment there. Super knowledgable, clean, friendly and they've got or will get everything/ anything you need. I've been brewing more in the last few months than ever before and this place has been a major catalyst. read more

Bearded brewer is a bit of a redundant name isn't it? But I digress. Every time I have gone in the staff is super helpful, always have what I need ingredient and hardware wise but the best part is the instant gratification. No more waiting for a shipment from an online store, or paying a minimum shipping fee when all you need is a simple 2oz bag of hops that you forgot for your recipe. And best of all their pricing is very very competitive. If you really think you'll save money by ordering online as opposed to shopping locally you'll be surprised. So long as this place is open, they'll have a loyal customer. read more

My husband has a co worker who is an avid Brewer and highly recommended store. Store was very well kept, all the necessary equipment plus all the specialty stuff. Owner was very knowledgeable and gave an excellent hop recommendation for dry hopping an existing beer. Usually my husband shops online for ingredients, now we will be making monthly trips. Prices are on par with online, but you don't get the knowledge from face to face purchasing. Always a good thing to support your local hobby store. Highly recommend this store. read more

It's always a pleasure shopping at Dylan's shop! He's got almost anything you need and if he doesn't he'll find it and order it. As a home brewer, there are abundant options for grain, hops, and yeast as well as any equipment your wallet can tolerate. Not only that but he's willing to steer you in the right direction with any brewing advice or recipe development/tweaking. I will be shopping here for a long time! read more

The Bearded Brewer is the greatest! I have been a Home Brewer for 23 years, and this is the best supply shop the valley has ever had. There were two others when I first stared brewing and neither were as good as Dillon's Bearded Brewer! His place is impeccably clean and organized. He can also get you what ever you need if he doesn't have it stocked. He stocks quality brew kits with a wide selection of styles. I have been to a dozen brew shops in the L.A. And O.C. Area and the Bearded Brewer is the best. We all need to support our local brewing supply shop! read more

I wanted to brew for the first time and Dylan got my friend and I all set up. We started with a kit to make things easy, but we will definitely be coming back for the next brew to start experimenting! read more

An oasis in the desert! Well, kinda - there aren't many brew shops around these parts, but even if there were, The Bearded Brewer would be tops. I called ahead, telling him I wanted ingredients for a Pliny the Elder clone brew. A few hours later, he had most everything ready for me along with some sage brewing advice for me. Great store, great service! read more

Dylan was amazingly helpful! I showed him what I was aiming for and he gave me guidance and even offered substitutes and recommendations when item on hand didn't quite match what I was going for! Can't wait to try out the brew and go back again! read more

Dylan's business is one of the best in the AV. If you have questions he's got answers. He has kits too so if you don't want to pick out your own ingredients you don't have to. Great stocks in yeast and hops too!! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about the bearded brewer! Dylan is full of information and is always willing to lend a hand while not at all being overbearing. The shop is always stocked with fresh supplies at very fair prices. read more

Good pricing and even better service. They helped me put together a good recipe. When I got home (live in Tehachapi and not always able to get to Lancaster) I found something missing.
