We visited Windsor for the first time to try their tap room. This place is a hidden gem! Wow! From the outside you can't tell that there is an awesome tap room with an amazing tap list. There is a nice long bar and plenty of tables and seating inside. One of my very favorite breweries is Monkish and they have their Hazy IPA on tap. It was so great to have Monkish beer without having to drive to Anaheim or Torrance. The tap room is super clean and neat. There is a great selection of beers to take home. I know there are a few breweries close by to Windsor but they can get super crowded. Windsor is a great place to grab some beer and relax! It's even better that they have their own parking lot! I would highly recommend Windsors and will definitely be back again! read more

This place has pretty much anything you would need or could ask for if you want to brew your own beer, but for the people that actually don't brew their own beer like myself, they have excellent selection of beers on tap and available bottles. I recently came in during their 10th anniversary celebration. Because the folks here are knowledgeable and have lots of friends in the craft beer community, there were some gems available on tap. I used to live so close to here and based on the timing of their 10th anniversary, I was right down the street around the time they just opened. Sad I didn't know about it back then, but glad I got to/ get to visit now. It's a store/ small taproom located in the Costa Mesa area a bit south of the South Coast Plaza shopping area. I'm continually pretty blown away with what they had available. The pour prices and the bottles seem to be really reasonably priced. A gem for the craft beer community and just a great place to hang out. read more

This is a great spot for a CO2 refill. It's affordable, fast, and u can enjoy a beer while your tank is being chilled. Parking can be a bit tricky since it's located right next to The Camp, but you can usually find a spot or 2 out front or use street parking. They have an excellent beer selection (i think they are a little stronger than what the ABV suggests) and everything you need for homebrewing read more

We have a kegerator at home and everytime we come here with questions they are so helpful and great to work with. They have a chill ambiance to have a few beers as well read more

Came here for a CO2 refill and left with some new beer to try. They have a great selection.

I used to home brew around 10 years ago and went to a supply store in Anaheim off of Orangethorpe. I stopped brewing but recently picked up the hobby again. My old supply store is long gone and Phantom Ales has far less when it comes to home brew supplies and staff isnt very helpful. Windsor is well stocked, has a very helpful and knowledgable staff that have helped me out a few times since im pretty much a noob again, their prices are fair and I really dont see a reason why not to come by and give this place a visit. read more

Never use this place. I needed CO2 and they wouldn't fill the tank even after I called them to ask. I've never filled a tank so don't u think the place that's the so called professional would tell u everything you need to bring. Oh ya and they filled the same tank several times and took our money !!! read more

Fantastic spot for natural/natty wine, distinctive beer, and all the supplies required for brewing your own. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Lastly, the prices are much more reasonable compared to other places. read more

Really friendly and helpful staff. Prices are competitive if you're in a pinch. Sure you can buy the big things from Amazon, but for the small things like 1 or 2 extra clams and tubes, better to buy it in person to make sure everything fits. As for CO2 refills, they're reasonably priced. My only gripe was that one of the employees filling it up held the tank by the nob. If I learned anything from King of the Hill, that'll cause a leak or worse, Chuck Mangione will have to play for your ruined party when you find out you're out of gas. read more

I recently took an intro home brew class at Windsor Homebrew, and it was awesome. I learned a ton about the process and art of brewing beer. In the course of about three hours, we went from malts to beer in the fermenter. From tasting different varieties of of malted barley, to smelling different hops, and of course sampling different styles of beer, it was interesting and educational. This is definitely a good primer for anyone looking to start brewing at home. read more

Great store for all your beer needs (and keg supplies) They have everything you need on hand. Prices are reasonable, service is great, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Overall great experience. I came here to get some CO2 and I also needed some new plumbing and gauges. They had everything and I was in and out fairly quickly. I will be coming back again! read more

I've been shopping here for all my homebrew needs for a few years now and Scott and everyone else I've worked with have been amazingly helpful. They helped me through the initial setup on my kegerator/draught system, give great recommendations for yeast and hop selection if you're in doubt, and have a great bottle shop section as well. I'd highly recommend it, even if you just want to pick up a new interesting beer to take home read more

Great customer service, friendly staff, and nice little bottle shop! I was recommended this place and glad I went. I appreciated the little shop with a good variety of bottled beer. read more

The staff is very friendly and were extremely helpful. This was my first time visiting to fill up a Co2 tank which was at a great price and I only waited about 5 minutes to be completed. While looking around saw that they got a great beer selection in cans/bottles available to take home. Will definitely come again! read more

Scott's five-star service that won this noob's business for life. Ive been dying to brew a mosaic ipa for months but could never find them at other local shops. Windsor does! Searched for an extract recipe online and brought it with. Scott gave me some advice and milled the grains for me. When I was walking around checking out equipment it dawned on me I actually gave him an all-grain recipe. Such a noob. It wasn't a problem though. I embarrassingly informed Scott of my mistake and he made the swap for liquid malt extract. I'll 100% be returning and would happily pay more for the service that comes from Windsor compared to Amazon, the big online stores, and even local competitors. read more

Windsor Homebrew Supply Co - Jackpot! Only place I've found in OC stocking Mosaic hops. If you love a citrusy IPA, you'll love Mosaic. - Brewing Supplies Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Great place to buy craft beer. Fair prices, and no crazy price gouging like a lot of local places. They have online ordering and no contact beer delivery during this so called Covid crisis, which is nice. You do have to follow their Facebook page to know exactly when they are doing the deliveries as they do not do it every day. Ordering in person at the store can be slow. It seems like they may need an upgrade to their system. As long as they keep getting a varied supply of craft beer, this place will be my go to. read more

I recently got into home winemaking and I have been continually purchasing supplies. The staff here are so helpful and knowledgeable particularly one gentleman I feel is probably the store manager/owner and if he is not, he should be. I wish I knew his name. All of the supplies here are at a low price and great quality. I really have no reason to go any where else. Thank you! I will be back time and time again! UPDATE: I just checked my receipt and the gentleman that I mentioned is Scott Windsor! Thank you Scott! You are the best! read more

I've been here twice. The first time I came in because they fill C02 Tanks for Kegerators. I was amazed by the selection of beer making equipment they had. I've recently broken into home brewing (4 months ago). Scott was very helpful with a few questions I had about my by first batch of beer I was currently fermenting. 4 Months later, 4 batches of beer under my belt (been ordering online... sorry! I'm now only buying at Windsor), I came in for my second visit... The only reason it took me 4 months to come back and that I've been ordering online is I live about 30-40 min away... I got my C02 tank filled again yesterday and picked up some liquid yeast. Scott was there again, and was incredibly helpful again, had an answer to all of my novice questions and was very nice about answering them. You rock Scott! I even rushed out after (I was running late) and forgot my liquid yeast. When Scott realized I left the yeast, he took care it / put it in refrigeration for me again. I came back 10 minutes later when I realized, I was very grateful that he noticed and held onto the yeast for me. I didn't realize but you can phone in or email over your recipe and they will get the ingredients ready for you. I'd like to remake 2 of 4 recipes I currently have now, I'll be forwarding the recipes over to them via email next time! Scott also told me he has lots of recipes he can provide... Definitely going to hit you up on this Scott! Thanks so much for everything! read more

Scott is amazing and super helpful! Only place I get any of my leg or brew supplies.

How haven't I given Scott five stars.. By far the best homebrew shop in Orange County. Mills grain to order, excellent yeast and hop selection, fills co2, and one of the best bottle shops around!! read more

Big storage place with lots of equipment, ingredients, and other stuff to check out. They also have some beer bottles on a shelf and some more in a refrigerator if you want to try new stuff. Scott is very helpful. You can get grain there and mill it. Also, you can send Scott an email so that things can be ready when you visit. Parking can be tough since there's breweries and a bar nearby. read more

This has been my choice shop for a few years now for homebrew supplies, but now it's become my choice shop to buy alcoholic beverages. This place is great. They have also adjusted to the Covid Climate well and provide safe and friendly service to their customers. read more

These guys are really helpful and always do right by their clients. I drive over 30 minutes for this store because it's worth it.

A veritable toys r us for the homebrewer. Heard about this place from a buddy, and since I don't have any local options went to check it out. Totally lived up to the hype A large selection of all kinds of equipment, ingredients, and books. Guy working was super helpful and easy to talk to. Bought a few different hop pellet packets, some yeast, some brew kits, and other misc parts, all for reasonable prices and of good quality. Hops especially were fresh and smelled amazing on brew day. I drove 45 minutes just to check it out and it will now be my go to spot. Worth the drive. read more

This place has another loyal customer. I love how they're very open and helpful and knowledgeable. This is one of the most honest businesses I've ever had the pleasure of being close to. Will come here for all my beverage questions. Very supportive and they also have like all the things I'd ever need to level up with. read more

This is THE place to get your homebrew supplies! Scott and his staff are very knowledgeable and can help with any questions you may have. I actually took a couple of homebrew classes here when I was first starting off, and found Scott's instruction to be very thorough and helpful. He does CO2 refills in addition to the usual homebrew supplies, so it's truly a one-stop shop for all your beer needs! They also have a newly added bottle shop, with an impressive selection of local craft beers. If you're looking for the latest release from your favorite brewery, check here first! Keep us the great work Windsor! read more

Windsor HB is the best! My hubby and I have gone to several brew shops before finding this shop. Scott always has what we need. He's answered a number of our questions and always has great insight into helping you with a problem. If something is not in stock, he'll order it. He has a lot of repeat customers and knows most by name...that alone tells you something. I drive to Costa Mesa from Long Beach just to go here (and yes, I know there are closer shops....but they pale in comparison). Best of all, I appreciate how nice he is...not all shops make women feel comfortable when they come in by themselves. The best part....if you email Scott your order for grains, he will have your order ready for you to pick up! I Highly recommend visiting Windsor Homebrew read more

Came here with a Groupon for a Beer Making Class. It was informative, yes! But I was also misled into thinking it was a hands-on beer making class :( Reservations for the class are quick and painless. You walk in and sit down. The supply area is pretty much set up like classroom style. There is oneee big pot of boiling water with wheat or barely, depends what they're a-brewing. In short....i was there for about two hours watching water boil. Woohooo. There are some opportunities for the "students" to pour, mix, and stir things into the pot! But no coming back in a few weeks to actually try what your class brewed up. Store is a overall lovely supply shop though! Private parking lot is excellent. read more

Helpful staff, the owner is always giving great advice. Tank refills for co2 are $21 for 10lb & open on Saturdays too! Thanks for your help guys at Windsor. read more

If you are looking to either start home brewing, or just need a few ingredients, this is the place. I recently took a introduction beer making class here and the owner, Scott, did an excellent job. In about 2 hours, he went from boiling the water to putting in the hops, to cleaning the bottles, to bottling the beer! Everything was hands on and he lets volunteers help with transporting the beer from one device to the other. Everyone also got to fill out their own bottle of beer, however...unfortunately not to keep!!! He says its something to do with alcohol licenses or WHATEVER...haha But still pretty neat to finally see all the basic steps to brewing broken down and down right in front of you. Within the shop, you can find practically everything you need to successfully brew beer. He also has a variety of hops and grains, and even spices to give your beer its own character. There are also kits if you want to make a particular type of beer. Scott is great and so friendly to talk to, I'd highly recommend coming here! read more

This place is awesome. Scott is very knowledgable and extremely helpful. The store is well stocked with all the equipment and supply's a brewer needs. Scott made some really good suggestions for me on a complex Bourbon Barrel Porter recipe. I would recommend if you are into homebrewing, you should check out this store. read more

I attended a beer making class here on Sunday from 1-3pm. It was very informative and entertaining thanks to Scott. The class is very educational and a little hands on. You can volunteer to complete certain brewing tasks and everyone gets to bottle a beer! The class is about 20 people and very casual. Only downfall is that there is no tasting or drinking during class. The store isn't licensed to serve alcohol to customers who pay (for the class). They have special nights where vendors come in and give free tastings. More information is available on their website. read more

This a great shop for the home brew enthusiast. Scott has help me put together my CO2 system for 2 different kegerators. He's got all the parts and is very nice to deal with. Compared with other stores in OC he has the most hardware and components to put together what you need. read more

I started brewing a few years ago when I lived in San Francisco. The weather's perfect for brewing there, the municipal water's amazing, and there's an amazing store called San Francisco Brewcraft where, I thought, you could get pretty much whatever you need. Fast forward to late 2015, when I moved to Costa Mesa. I was super happy to see that there was a homebrew supply store right on Baker, conveniently located between my house and work. I made a point to drop by and take a look and was really impressed with the depth of gear, swag, and ingredients Scott keeps on hand. He actually *does* have pretty much whatever you need, at decent prices and with good service too. I've been dropping by and getting the bulk of my stuff here since. OC brewing has some challenges compared to SF (temperature variations! lousy water!) but the supply store here definitely beats the supply store there based on what you can find. And Scott's a friendly guy who will answer your questions and not make you feel like a jackass for asking them... or for confessing that you idiotically ruined your last batch by pitching at 90°. Ahem, not that I've ever done that. Recommended without reservation! read more

Came here through a recommendation from the Bottle Logic staff while discussing stouts. For anyone searching for Bottle Logic Stasis Project releases that are no longer available at the brewery in Anaheim or at Total Wine or BevMo, Windsor Homebrew Supply Co has quite a few release from 2021! The staff is very friendly with great customer service. There are multiple varieties of bottled beer in the shop to select between. Will return! read more

Yesterday, I wrote a really bad review for Windsor. My wife and I were quite upset that we weren't notified that the brewing class we had signed up for had been canceled. We found out by a note on the door. It was cancelled due to a family emergency, we understand that and are sympathetic. On top of the Yelp review, I messaged Windsor directly. They responded toy email and they made things right. So, because my negative review, here, was all about poor customer service, I felt it was only fair to edit it. Windsor home brewing supply has a good selection of equipment, ingredients, and reference materials at a reasonable price. And the fact that they quickly resolved the issue I had, I can honestly say that I am impressed with their customer service. We will be returning to Windsor for our brewing needs. read more

If you need homebrew supplies this is where you buy them. The owner Scott is a knowledgeable homebrewer who cares about the craft. He has the biggest selection of hops and yeast. Support your local businesses and get all your supplies here. Not to mention he's also a great all around person! He has all of the grain you need to make any beer and you can even email him your order ahead of time and he will have it ready for you to pick up. He is friends with all of the local brewery owners and gets the best selection for his newly opened bottle shop.
