    Lobster roll & crab cakes

Great place by the beach to stop by for a bite. We split the buttered lobster roll and crab cakes - perfect meal before hitting the beach. Our server was also great and gave us some recos on which beach to walk to. Loved the patio seating and overall ambiance. My favorite part of my meal was the lobster roll!

Good experience here for the following reasons: --great outside seating in the shade on a perfect August evening --reasonably good service (Liam seemed tired and ready for the end of his work day); the support staff was great --perfectly cooked salmon and asparagus --seafood nachos were good enough (slightly overcooked but the scallops and shrimp were tasty) --clean despite the busy day --nice views and comfortable seating. I appreciate the ample spacing between tables --food arrived hot and drinks were cold We'll return when we're back on the island.

True to its name, Beachhead is by the beach! Amazing pretzels and good pasta salad. They have both inside and outside seating and both are nice- you can smell and hear the ocean from outside. Reasonably priced and service was good. Cheers!

Ambiance was excellent and we had great quick service. Food was good, not great, but still enjoyed our late lunch!

The beachhead is a very casual vibe with a lot of great menu options! A great place for a quick bite to eat for lunch or a very good dinner option as well! Greatly staffed, always providing great service. A lot of different options and cannot go wrong with any of them!

Very nice restaurant. The view is the most amazing part- can look across to see the ocean and the other direction to see the island. Tons of outdoor seating and good service. We are outside with a large group and had a variety of seafood. Enjoyed options such as crab blacked, lobster soup, cod, mussels. Crab cakes were really good and recommend. Overall really good

Interesting afternoon today at the Beachhead restaurant today. Food was great- we ordered calamari, asparagus with feta cheese to start us off. We ordered shrimp tacos, grilled chicken sandwich, the beachhead burger with cheese and prime ribs, Waldorf salad with chicken and vegetable rice. Food tasted delicious. My grilled chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We were seated outdoors and it was a beautiful day for outdoors by beach. We were done with our meals when our dog happened to throw up unfortunately. When the server came over with the check, we informed her of the mishap. She informed that she will send someone over to clean up. Much to my surprise, the lady who supposedly came to clean up gave me a roll of paper towels and some cleaning product to clean up my dog's throw up. Mind it my dog is only 10lbs so the throw up was not ginormous. Regardless, I was under the impression that the staff is responsible for the cleaning up any spills or messes and they are responsible for cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant for all patrons. Also, since our server said someone would clean up I wasn't expecting to be put to work. It is a delicate matter, I understand and I would have offered to help if the lady had taken charge but leaving me to it and exiting the scene is not what I expected. Isn't the staff trained to handle these situations for sanitary reasons? The service lacked and it made me question the hygiene of the restaurant if guests are responsible for cleaning up messes.

Such a great spot with amazing views of the ocean and lake. Food was great! I would recommend everything we got. It's especially nice if you get there during happy hour for 1 buck shuck of the raw bar. Service was nice and we were not rushed.

Friends and I came here after visiting Payne's Donuts (previous review) and wanted to grab some drinks while we waiting for a few more friends to arrive by the ferry. The Beachead has a very big indoor and outdoor area. We arrived around 2pm and they were able to seat us outside without any issue. They have a pretty big drink and food menu. I chose the mudslide and it was pretty good. It was thick and sweet. My friend ordered the clam strips and they tasted pretty fresh, but just a little greasy. The servers were very attentive and checked on us several times for water and more refreshments. Overall, I would come back to try more drinks and food.

Caroline was the best. We were here the day before and she makes it special! The clam strips are a must. Plus happy hour oysters.

I appreciate that their food is "farm to table" fresh, but the portion sizes should match the prices. Our table of ten spent an average of $320 per couple, and three of the couples had split their dinners. We did order appetizers and drinks as well. I explained my food allergies to the waitress. She relayed the info to the kitchen and did her best to accommodate me. I ordered a small charcuterie without blue cheese. It came with Prosciutto, manchego cheese wedges, pitted olives, red grapes, a few crostini, and a drop of honey. For my entree, I ordered a filet mignon. It came with dollops of instant-like mashed potatoes and prosciutto wrapped asparagus. My friend ordered a filet as well but his was cooked more than the temp he ordered. Instead of medium, it came out well done... charred on the outside, no pink, and dry. Mine, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly even though mine was medium as well. Would I come back? Only for a special occasion perhaps. ‍

When we checked in, we were told we were the only large party, yet we ended up waiting what felt like an hour. When I mentioned this to our waitress, she snapped back that it had been "39 minutes." I asked her to double-check, and soon after we were told our table was being cleaned and would be ready in 10 minutes. When we walked up, the manager George, who I've seen here throughout more than a decade of visits, was his usual warm and genuine self. He personally apologized for the delay, and that sincerity more than made up for the rocky start. Once seated, our experience turned around completely. Our waitress Lindsay was an absolute gem! Kind, attentive, and patient, even with three fussy kids in the mix. It's a pretty large menu which is good to please a large crowd though. It took a while for our server to come back to us when we needed drink and water refills, to order food, and get the check. However, getting seated was super fast. We were expecting to wait a little while on a Saturday for lunch, but it was a well oiled machine of us checking in our front and getting us seated.
