The best fish and chips in the world

Me and my lovely girlfriend decided to attend the restaurant again after a great first experience and boy did it not disappoint. We first started off with the Thai sweet chili calamari which was amazing 10/10 start. moving onto the fish and chips... Fried fresh fishy it had it all 10 out of 10, like always I will definitely be back, for a 3rd time

Another Block Island staple....i live the casual ambiance and the view of the beach! It's also great they have a parking lot! Which not many restaurants on BI have! We were greeted and sat quickly! Super friendly and attentive waitress! We got calamari - thai chili - my kids say the best they have had....it was good! Pretzels and clam chowder! All good! The fish sandwich was fresh and crispy! The fries are basic but do the trick! The tuna sandwich was also good! The clam strip plate was huge and delicious!! Love the Cole slaw too! My daughter had the burger and it was huge and cooked exactly as she wanted! We always make this a BI stop and will continue to do the same! And enjoy the Summer Melonade! Yummy!

Put this on your Block Island 2026 list! First, the outside dining and view is lovely!! Beautifully landscaped and a clear view of the ocean. Every staff we met there were wonderful. We started with the clams casino which were prepared with peppers and bacon and perfect serving to split. My husband had heard their ribs were fantastic and they did not disappoint ; meaty, perfectly cooked and the seasoning was great served with a delicious cole slaw. Full disclosure I tried a bite of both...super yum! I opted for the lobster roll served cold with just the right portion of mayo, it was delicious on a buttered brioche roll. My sandwich was served with house-made pasta salad. You simply must try it! No mayo here but an amazing oil and paprika blend. I truly wish I had this recipe, so clearly we will be back next summer. There is plenty of parking if you have your vehicle or a rental but don't worry if you're walking because it's a reasonable walk from the ferry. Don't forget to visit them next summer!!

Convenient location right next to the beach and good food. During our driving tour of the island, we came across the beach in front of this place and since Beachhead was so close by and we were in the mood for seafood, we landed here. It was around 2 pm when we got there, so there were lots of people. But, within 5 minutes they were able to find us a table. They indoor seating, umbrellas over their tables on the patio to create shade which is nice but there are also a couple tables out in the sun if that's the vibe you're looking for. We ordered the garlic shrimp, the chicken focaccia sandwich, and baked Atlantic cod. The chicken focaccia was good but a couple observations. I was expecting the red peppers to be in long strips and also for there to be a good amount of it but it was sort of melted into the cheese and very little specks. Also, the description says it's on focaccia but it's actually ciabatta which makes a HUGE difference--I was expecting a moist, airy, oily-ish bread. The chicken was good (a little dry), but I did not see the peppercorn dressing. I ordered some ranch on the side, and they informed me they only carry old bay ranch. That ranch was the BEST ranch I have ever had. It was rich in flavor and thick in consistency. The sandwich comes with pasta salad on the side which looked like it would have a lot of flavor based on the color but it did not have any. The pasta was a bit too al dente. But, to get fries you have to pay an additional $2. The cod was very flavorful but it was also packed with butter. The vegetables in the description ended up being cole slaw which I did take some to add to my sandwich. The fries were okay. The prices of things were good considering its block island and it was near a beach. The staff is kind and efficient.

Great place by the beach to stop by for a bite. We split the buttered lobster roll and crab cakes - perfect meal before hitting the beach. Our server was also great and gave us some recos on which beach to walk to. Loved the patio seating and overall ambiance. My favorite part of my meal was the lobster roll!

Good experience here for the following reasons: --great outside seating in the shade on a perfect August evening --reasonably good service (Liam seemed tired and ready for the end of his work day); the support staff was great --perfectly cooked salmon and asparagus --seafood nachos were good enough (slightly overcooked but the scallops and shrimp were tasty) --clean despite the busy day --nice views and comfortable seating. I appreciate the ample spacing between tables --food arrived hot and drinks were cold We'll return when we're back on the island.

True to its name, Beachhead is by the beach! Amazing pretzels and good pasta salad. They have both inside and outside seating and both are nice- you can smell and hear the ocean from outside. Reasonably priced and service was good. Cheers!

Ambiance was excellent and we had great quick service. Food was good, not great, but still enjoyed our late lunch!

The beachhead is a very casual vibe with a lot of great menu options! A great place for a quick bite to eat for lunch or a very good dinner option as well! Greatly staffed, always providing great service. A lot of different options and cannot go wrong with any of them!

Very nice restaurant. The view is the most amazing part- can look across to see the ocean and the other direction to see the island. Tons of outdoor seating and good service. We are outside with a large group and had a variety of seafood. Enjoyed options such as crab blacked, lobster soup, cod, mussels. Crab cakes were really good and recommend. Overall really good

Interesting afternoon today at the Beachhead restaurant today. Food was great- we ordered calamari, asparagus with feta cheese to start us off. We ordered shrimp tacos, grilled chicken sandwich, the beachhead burger with cheese and prime ribs, Waldorf salad with chicken and vegetable rice. Food tasted delicious. My grilled chicken was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We were seated outdoors and it was a beautiful day for outdoors by beach. We were done with our meals when our dog happened to throw up unfortunately. When the server came over with the check, we informed her of the mishap. She informed that she will send someone over to clean up. Much to my surprise, the lady who supposedly came to clean up gave me a roll of paper towels and some cleaning product to clean up my dog's throw up. Mind it my dog is only 10lbs so the throw up was not ginormous. Regardless, I was under the impression that the staff is responsible for the cleaning up any spills or messes and they are responsible for cleanliness and hygiene of the restaurant for all patrons. Also, since our server said someone would clean up I wasn't expecting to be put to work. It is a delicate matter, I understand and I would have offered to help if the lady had taken charge but leaving me to it and exiting the scene is not what I expected. Isn't the staff trained to handle these situations for sanitary reasons? The service lacked and it made me question the hygiene of the restaurant if guests are responsible for cleaning up messes.

We made reservations for 5:30 pm, arrived a little early, and they seated us right away. We started with cocktails, and complimentary bread arrived shortly after. For appetizers, we ordered the brussel sprouts, octopus, and lamb lollipops. The brussel sprouts were my personal favorite, but everything was outstanding. For our entrées, we had the halibut, scallops, and bouillabaisse. The halibut was absolutely incredible and my favorite, though every dish was delicious and beautifully prepared. We finished with the key lime tart. It's on the smaller side, so if you're sharing with more than two people, I'd recommend ordering a couple of different desserts. We sat in the enclosed patio style dining room, which had large windows, gorgeous views, and lots of natural light. It felt like you were dining outside while still being indoors. They also have a more intimate indoor dining room with low lighting and a cozy ambiance. One of the coolest features is the open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs prepare food. Our waiter was fantastic! He was attentive, took the time to answer all of our questions, and even helped us narrow down our dinner choices when we couldn't decide. We'll definitely be back the next time we're on Block Island. Highly recommend!

The patio outside is really clean and comfy, and it's a great spot to have lunch. What really caught my attention was the Peking Duck Quesadilla , it was AMAZING. The flavors all worked so well together, and I would definitely order it again. One thing that was a bit of a problem was that it was kind of hard to eat, everything kept falling apart, but it was so good that it didn't really matter. We got a bunch of other things too, like General Tso's Chicken, coconut rice, crab rangoons, coconut shrimp, and a shrimp sushi roll. everything was really good and fresh. The coconut rice was a great side dish, and the crab rangoons were gone in no time. The drinks were also really good, One thing though, they didn't put a lot of liquor in them, but they were still fun to drink. Our server was really great, and did a fantastic job, especially since we had a big group of 12 people. We get that it can be tough to handle a table that size. The only problem we had was with the timing of the food. Some of us got our appetizers and main courses before the others had even gotten their appetizers. It wasn't a huge issue, but it's something the kitchen could work on to make sure big groups feel like they're eating together. It would be great if they could improve that, so everyone can enjoy their meal at the same time. I would definitely go back to TigerFish. It's a great choice if you want something different from the usual Block Island food. They have really tasty food, great drinks, and a nice quiet atmosphere.

We visited midweek, so it was fairly quiet. The restaurant is conveniently located just a short walk from the ferry and offers plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors. Service was fast, friendly, and especially helpful when it came to identifying which menu items were vegan or could be modified, which we really appreciated. We ordered the B.Y.O. Tofu Spring Rolls and the Pork Potstickers. Both appetizers were generously sized. The spring rolls were fresh and flavorful, but having to assemble them myself at the table was a bit messy and took away from the enjoyment. I would have preferred them to come fully prepared. That said, they were still quite tasty. The pork potstickers, on the other hand, were a standout and an easy favorite of the meal. One downside was that the doors were open to enjoy the beautiful weather, but that also meant we were battling flies throughout our meal, which was a little distracting. Overall, Tigerfish was a great find with good food, knowledgeable service, and a convenient location. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, we enjoyed our visit and will definitely return on a future trip to Block Island.
