Nice view of the ferry / harbor

Great spot to grab breakfast if you're staying near it in the island. It almost feels like a hidden gem because it never seems too busy. The food is good and the service is great. Friendly people here :)

By the look of the restaurant, I assumed this place was everything homemade. It didn't taste very homemade with pre packaged breads and cheese slices. The prices were high for what we got. Service was a little weird. You waited for a table but then no server comes over to you. We sat at the bar and figured it would be quicker, but that didn't happen. Eventually someone came over and asked if we wanted water and walked away before we could put in food. Service was slow and I noticed one server hanging by the window instead of talking to any customers. When we finished eating, it wasn't clear how to pay. I saw a few customers hanging by a register in the corner. Since we were at the bar, I figured it would be easier to pay. Again....no haha. There was no sign stating so but it is cash only. Luckily we all had cash. I would try a different place for breakfast on my next trip.

The location was great... directly across the afeeet from the ferry and ballads. Server was friendly and professional. Make sure you bring cash, they do not accept credit cards. There's an ATM inside, but of course you'll pay high fees so get cash before you get to the island. Be prepared to use plastic silverware. The food was bleh. Maybe its because I'm not used to greasy food, but I ordered a breakfast burrrito and the amount of grease that spilled off of it was gross. The bacon seemed half cooked and probably the cause of the excess grease. My sister had avocado toast with eggs. She ordered a side of home fries (these were very good) It was basic. Nothing exciting, but not bad. Food definitely looked better than it tasted Overall decent, but should've listened to the previous reviews. Thankfully the server was great and what lead me to leave 3 stars.

Ernie's breakfast place is awesome .. try it!

Great hospitality & friendly service plus good food! Homemade raspberry donuts! Right off the ferry, it is close and not too expensive

The special breakfast!

With as busy as they are, they don't have an enormous menu and I feel that it's better that way. I'm not sure how often they change the menu as the online page showed slightly different meals. The wait staff are plentiful and it's rather amazing how well they keep up. The way my family and I were treated upon arrival was extremely disappointing. The male host was unnecessarily disrespectful and unwelcoming from the moment we walked in, despite us being polite and having every intention of dining there. After getting a reservation online and returning, the female host/manager was also a little rude and dismissive toward us at first. That only added to the uncomfortable atmosphere we felt. Even the bartenders didn't acknowledge us. Staff would catch eye contact with us and just keep going. Thankfully, the experience improved once we were seated. Our waiter (Cam) was genuinely kind, professional, and attentive throughout the meal, and the food itself was excellent. The chefs clearly know what they're doing, because every dish was prepared beautifully and tasted amazing. It's unfortunate that such strong food and service from the waitstaff are overshadowed by the poor attitude at the front of the restaurant. A little basic respect and hospitality toward guests would make a huge difference. Growing up in the hospitality service (restaurant) then working in retail to aviation. We're all taught from the beginning. A person walks in, greet them with a smile and let them know you'll be with them shortly. Not ignore them then to be slightly rude. We all understand being busy. But don't take it out on the customers. Especially when they didn't cause your stress. I'm giving them a high score because Cam and the chefs were amazing. Even the chefs said goodnight to us and thanked us.

Great service, yummy food, good drink menu, photos of cute dogs on the wall... what more could you want after a long day at the beach? The tuna nachos were to die for. They definitely had some kick! The bread basket with the garlic butter was a nice touch. I loved my salmon and the bite I took of my partner's burger was juicy and delicious. The thick seasoned fries with the burger were also great. Unfortunately we filled up on everything and didn't save room for dessert, but we will definitely have dessert next time.

The best thing about the place is the view- gorgeous view of the water and lots of outdoor seating…read more I feel somewhat neutrally about this, but there aren't any waiters really. Instead, you wait in line and order at the bar and they bring it to your table number. If you're looking for a fancy dinner, this isn't the place, but if you're looking for an option in between cheap and nice, this is the place. My boyfriend got the mac n cheese which was $16 (perhaps a little pricey). He said it wasn't very cheesy but personally I like it like that! I ordered the salmon and asked for just farro and corn instead of the succatash and goat cheese and all that, but they didn't bring any farro. I then asked for it and the guy asked me if I ordered it. I said yes, I know I did, and he said he'd go check, but he never came back. After 10-15 minutes I went to find the guy I asked and he seemed confused. He said "I couldn't find her" and I didn't know what he meant, but apparently he was looking for the girl who took my order? I guess to validate that I hadn't asked them to remove the farro? Very odd. A nice employee at the bar told him to just get me some farro (because it's really not that big of a deal) and he brought me a cold small plastic cup of unseasoned farro (pictured). Whole thing struck me as very odd and a little annoying. The dish was $29 which also felt a little expensive, especially without a big portion, but it's definitely more affordable than other places on the island. Overall, great view, but the rest of our experience was meh!
