Here we go. Thank you to the staff here you were amazing and oh so busy . You handle the work and pressure so well. The team is amazing. A business shouldn't only be measured by its positive experiences, but also by how it handles mistakes. After a great massage focused on a problem area, I booked a follow-up appointment with the Associate before leaving. As the date approached, I received no communication, so I called only to be told there was no record of my booking. Then, a month later (on the same date I had originally booked), I received a call from the manager, Karina, asking why I had missed my appointment. I explained the prior issue and that no appointment existed on my end. A week later, Karina called again to say they would "courtesy waive" a no-show fee. I reiterated that there should be no fee at all, as I never booked that date. I also explained an Associate never called me as they usually do to confirm the appointment and asked if their approach had changed. She responded that she needed to pay her employee and close her books, which missed the point entirely. She also mentioned an email had been sent - I later found it in my junk folder, but I had no reason to look there for an appointment I didn't make. Had I seen it, I would have contacted them to correct their error. While I've had positive experiences at Lapis & Oak, I'm disappointed in how this situation was handled. I understand mistakes happen, and I'll take steps like booking directly through their website rather than with a person and checking junk folders more often. However, what I find most frustrating and the reason for this review, is the lack of accountability and the tendency to shift blame onto the customer.

Southpoint is remodeling for the next three months, so I took the plunge and booked here for my hair color and cut. They do offer a 20% discount to locals, so that helps with the cost. I am pretty sure I will be back now...plus Dena is just terrific!!!

Came here for the first time because of their black Friday week deal (buy one get one free spa…read moreamenities pass). For me, this is the only way these spa amenities are worth it. I got two passes for $50, so $25 per pass, which is reasonable, but if the deal wasn't going on, $50 is way too much for day usage of a shower, sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold tub, gym, and some light snacks. Now, I will say the facilities are nice and actually in working condition, unlike the facilities at the Green Valley Ranch spa, but the grounds were also a lot smaller and didn't include the use of the pool, though maybe that's just because it was closed due to it being winter (the Green Valley Ranch spa has it's own private pool as well as a hot tub which both sexes can use). The hot tub was hot but not unbearable as was the cold tub. Don't get it confused with a cold plunge, as it didn't get anywhere near as cold as one of those gets, but it was still very nice and a good way to cool down from the incredibly hot steam room. The men's area was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The men's snack area included complimentary water, chocolate covered blueberries, pretzels, granola, tea, and two juices. I will be coming back here to utilize my other pass but I don't think I would ever pay the full $50 to come here.

I'm so happy I came across this business because what a treat the services were! Staff were very helpful and communicative from the point of booking the appointment until I departed after the services. I got the Ground to Glow package which included a 50-minute fusion Thai massage with Maydelin, a 50-minute custom facial, and a 50-minute body scrub. Each therapist was attentive to my requests and needs, ensuring they were tender with any sensitive areas and focused on any problem or pain areas. The woman who provided my facial was so knowledgeable and friendly. She made helpful recommendations about my regimen. All the treatments left me feeling so serene, relaxed, and rejuvenated. And to cap it all off, the space itself is so tranquil and beautiful! It seems unassuming from the outside given it's tucked in a strip mall, but the moment you step through the front door, you're transported. The space is quiet and outfitted in shades of beige. Staff ensure the volume is kept at a minimum out of respect for everyone, and every service space I stepped into, including the bathroom, was so clean and just gorgeous. I wish I could justify such services regularly in my budget, but I will definitely be back soon!

If you are looking for an all-day experience with activities and energy, it definitely delivers. That said, the coed areas can get quite loud, especially on weekends. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and there is no shortage of things to explore. Overall, it is a unique experience, but if you are expecting a quiet, traditional spa environment, this may not fully meet those expectations.

First and last time here. I wasn't going to write a review, but the audacity of the lady berating…read moreme for my initial tip bothered me enough to write this. First off- I specifically requested for a hard massage both in email and paper form that I filled out while there. The lady that brought me into the massage room wasn't the same lady that massaged me. Since we went over the forms and type of massage. It was a noticeably older, very thin lady, who I had a feeling wasn't going to be able to massage me hard enough. Sure enough, it wasn't. And definitely not even licensed quality in massage techniques, by what I got. Which was at most a 5 pressure out of 10. I request 8-10. Massage was mainly pressing and wiping. She asked once if I was ok, and I replied "Yes, and can you massage harder, if possible please". Knowing she was older and tried her best, I remained polite the entire massage. Even though she never asked me again, Secondly- Since the place is next to an animal grooming business. I kept hearing dogs barking, echoing through-out the massage. First time I ever experienced this in the US, in my 30+ years. There are sound proofing you can invest in to mitigate this, in a business setting. My masseuse apologized for the noise during my massage. And lastly- As stated earlier, the audacity of the initial Middle aged woman, who processed me in and out on payment. They both were nice to me, but the minute I said the tip amount which was $10 out of an $80 total, she gasped in negative disbelief out loud, in front of my masseuse. And scowled "20% of 80 is $16". I played it off to my math error, and gave her the 20% as to not have my masseuse feel bad. But that was a very unprofessional and entitled transaction, given my already negative experience. Would anyone else have tipped 20% given this experience? I went home having to lacrosse ball my own back to get the knots out after paying $100. Again, to be nice, I wasn't going to write this review. But now I feel it is justified given that type of treatment. I won't even bother trying this place with a difference masseuse now, and I should have known by all the available slots open during that day, that the quality of the massage would be questionable.
