Southpoint is remodeling for the next three months, so I took the plunge and booked here for my hair color and cut. They do offer a 20% discount to locals, so that helps with the cost. I had the BEST experience at Spa Mio at M Resort! I have to start with a callout to the amazing front desk team! They're ALWAYS so lovely and helpful! I went in with a collar-length bob and decided to make a pretty big change, going to a short bixie--and I absolutely LOVE it! Sabrina gave me the most beautiful haircut. It's so easy to style, falls right into place, and somehow makes me feel pretty again for the first time in a long time. That feeling is priceless! But what really made the experience special was Sabrina herself. She was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat in her chair. She took the time to really understand what I wanted, asked thoughtful questions along the way, and made sure we were on the same page throughout the entire cut. I couldn't be happier with my hair or with Sabrina. She is incredibly talented, and I feel like I found my new hairstylist! I will absolutely be going back to her again and again and again. Came here for the first time because of their black Friday week deal (buy one get one free spa amenities pass). For me, this is the only way these spa amenities are worth it. I got two passes for $50, so $25 per pass, which is reasonable, but if the deal wasn't going on, $50 is way too much for day usage of a shower, sauna, steam room, hot tub, cold tub, gym, and some light snacks. Now, I will say the facilities are nice and actually in working condition, unlike the facilities at the Green Valley Ranch spa, but the grounds were also a lot smaller and didn't include the use of the pool, though maybe that's just because it was closed due to it being winter (the Green Valley Ranch spa has it's own private pool as well as a hot tub which both sexes can use). The hot tub was hot but not unbearable as was the cold tub. Don't get it confused with a cold plunge, as it didn't get anywhere near as cold as one of those gets, but it was still very nice and a good way to cool down from the incredibly hot steam room. The men's area was spotless and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The men's snack area included complimentary water, chocolate covered blueberries, pretzels, granola, tea, and two juices. I will be coming back here to utilize my other pass but I don't think I would ever pay the full $50 to come here. read more

I made reservations at for Spa Mio for my birthday for myself. I went on a Sunday morning at 10 am for a Foot, Neck & Shoulders treatment. You are able to use the amenities which you is included in your treatment. I came at 9 am to get familiar with the facility which was my first time. The spa is located at the M resort next to the pool downstairs. Once I checked into the reception desk you are able to browse around their merchandise. They provide your own lockers, robe, slippers as well. I wish their lounge area was a little bigger and have more of a chaise sofa but they did provide complimentary refreshments and snacks. The facility has a cold and warm/hot plunge pool, steam room, and a sauna. I loved my treatment and felt relaxed and enjoyed the facility. read more

I grew up in the Henderson area and the spa has local discounts, which are incredible and great pricing for anybody who wants to experience the Las Vegas spa. The spa is newer and has been renovated. Spa Mio is located in the M Resort and Casino. If you want to just about completely sidestep the casino, the spa does have an entrance along the northwest side of the property. It was nice to just pull in, park, and make a 5-minute walk to the Spa Reception area. I did not purchase any treatments today but opted for a day pass to use the facilities instead. As a non-guest of the hotel, I was charged $50 for the rest of the day (They close at 5 pm). This does give you in and out privileges in addition to full access to the fitness center until closing. I didn't work out though, I was there to unwind and relax! Spa Mio is a relatively small spa, but very cozy. The wet area has.. -a large jacuzzi with plenty of jets - a cold plunge pool, also with plenty of jets - a dry sauna - eucalyptus steam room - a waterfall/deluge style shower (that water is on the chilly side) You have 4 comfortable loungers in the wet area in addition to ESPN on the TV and plenty of waters and towels. They also have a lounge area with some more ESPN for your viewing pleasure. Spa Mio is a cozy and relaxing little spa. Hell, after the first 45 minutes I was there I had the place all to myself for a couple of hours! It was very relaxing just casually moving from one of the areas to the others. The receptionist who checked me in was very polite and professional. She was outstanding! The attendants were very good as well, especially the gentleman who gave me my tour. My wife and I treated ourselves to a couples massage for our anniversary. Angel and Angela gave us some of the best massages we've ever had! They asked us each if we had any areas we wanted extra attention on before beginning and checked in with us along the way to ensure the pressure level was good. Both of them have excellent technique and were mindful of our requests. The spa itself is well designed and clean. There is a hot tub, cold plunge, steam room, sauna and deluge shower. I've been to Spa Mio a few times, so I feel like I can give a proper review. Services Waxing - I LOVE my wax lady. She's so nice and accommodating. Warm energy and she made sure to use sensitive skin friendly wax. 5/5 stars for that experience! Massage - I got a massage one time. This experience was not the best. I feel like my favorite from back home set the bar high. This experience felt pretty rushed and I didn't quite feel welcomed. The massage itself was okay, but I couldn't really get relaxed from the energy of my massage therapist. Maybe they were having a bad day? Not sure, but this was more of a 2/5 stars experience. I'm going to give it another try in case it was a one off experience. Ambiance It's a beautiful, clean, and relaxing space. Food & Drinks They have an assortment of waters and teas, which is nice. Plenty of snack options as well. Front Desk - Reception Area I agree with some of the other reviews regarding the front area receptionists. To be completely honest, I was very nervous about my first experience here. I'm a plus size women and going to spas make me very anxious. So many things to worry about from the size of the robes and if it's gonna be fitting, the slippers fit, the weight limits on the tables. I called ahead of time to ask a few questions and they were so polite and accommodating. They assured me that they had robes that would fit me, and that they would put one aside for me in my locker before I arrived as to not worry for it. Debbie, who gave me my massage was so professional!. She made me feel comfortable and safe and did a fantastic job. She let me cleanse the room and leave my crystals out to infuse the energy in the space. I'll definitely be coming back as it was so relaxing! Next time it needs to be longer! The perfect girls day! I came to Spa Mio on a Sunday with a girl friend to treat ourselves. We chose them mainly for the locals discounted pricing which is offered 7 days a week. Our massage appointments were at 10 am but we came about an hour early to enjoy the amenities. I recommend getting there earlier in the day as it did get pretty packed around noon. Inside the spa it's split by males and females. It's not the best set up for couples, but great for a girls day. They provide everything you need to get ready before and after your service like shampoo, soap, towels, hair dryers, curling irons and more. There is also a small refreshment area with water, juices and some trail mix. They come and grab you for your service from a relaxing lounge area which has a tv playing tranquil music and images. In the wet area there is two jacuzzi tubs, a cold shower, dry sauna and steam room. My massage was perfection and the walk towards the room was beautiful. They really pay attention to every detail. I was so relaxed afterwards and my skin felt amazingly soft from the jacuzzi and steam room prior. It's a Strip worthy spa without the crazy traffic or insane pricing. It's been a little while since my last visit, but yesterday I went with a friend to get 3 spa treatments as a celebration. My overall review is the same, great, friendly and helpful staff. I also met one of the managers who was very professional and gave great customer service with our little hiccup at the end. she resolved it quickly and efficiently, what more could you ask for? The facilities are also great. Clean and bright and all the amenities you need are available to you. I did want to mention a couple of areas for improvement. The hot plunge pool is not hot, it's warm, it could be turned up a couple of notches. the cold plunge pool is also not cold, it's tepid. I know when dealing with the public it's difficult to make everyone happy but there was very little difference between the two pools and I see others have also mentioned this. Perhaps management will look into it. As for my services, I was a bit confused why my body scrub practitioner refused to scrub my inner thigh area, upper backside thigh area and backside(bum) even with my permission. She stated regulations and laws about getting close to genital areas. I was not asking for that area to get scrubbed but she simply refused. I had to ask for extra scrub so that I could do it in the shower, but I didn't go there so I could scrub myself. I didn't care for that. This did not happen with my last service person, it was just her. I'll. be sure to avoid her next time. Some spas offer disposable underwear that covers you so the maximum area of skin receives treatment, maybe they should look into this as an option?. She literally stopped at my knee then moved halfway up my outer thigh. Also, during my facial I had an add on of decollete peel. This was most disappointing. She only went down as far as my across my collar bone. I expect as with other treatments the decollete area extends from the outer collar bone down to a V in the center of the sternum. so a little part of my chest also receives treatment. What I got was not worth the extra $40. and I won't repeat that service here again. Finally, my massage was good. It was a signature massage which is light pressure, it goes to medium pressure on the hands and feet. But if you want deeper you have to pay a different price. He's the kicker. She massaged my lower, lower back and inner thigh area without being asked. she knew how to drape the sheet so that my private areas were well secured. Why can't the body scrub also be done this way?? As for the laws and regulations, etc. stated what happens when you get a bikini wax or butt strip wax or spray tan? It didn't really make sense to me and I felt disappointed because I know the most private parts of my body can be covered and secured when you know how to drape the sheet. My friend and I will get monthly spa treatments and next time hopefully at least with the scrub I can get the areas that were missed this time by someone else. read more

My man is very ansy & hates sitting in a chair for too long. But w/ Vinnie's wonderful conversation & the golf channel on, the time flew by. First he shaved the scruffy beard off w/ clipper, then warm towel steam, opened the pores & worked his magic. Absolutely, thorough & phenomenal. Temp checks, Covid Precautions in place, I had to watch thru the window like a peeping Tom lol I felt weird & a bit sad how our life is now, but it's all about safety. I began with a light workout in there state of the art gym, follow with a wonderful full body massage, then relax in a steam sauna, dry sauna or the cool or warm sauna, then top my stay with a relaxing facial. Wow ! First time at Spa Mil and so glad that I picked this spa to treat my sissy for her birthday. It is so beautiful. From the moment you walk in your greater with a warm welcome from the girls at the front desk. The spa is separated by many different areas for you to enjoy. It was my sissy's birthday and it was so nice they had her locker decorated with a beautiful Happy Birthday Sign for her . You are given a comfy rob with slippers to wear for your stay . There's two beautiful jacuzzis, cold rain shower, hot sauna, and a wet sauna with eucalyptus smell. It's all just amazing. They have fresh fruits for you , with iced lemon and cucumber water and a berry water as well. There staff is just wonderful. Always asking if you need anything or if they can get you anything . I was at the Spa Mio this past Friday and my experience was adequate. I am a local and wanted to spend a day at a spa to relax and ignore my emails/texts for a day. I chose Spa Mio due to the reviews, but my experience was average. I'm giving 1 star for the cleanliness, the amenities (robe, slippers, water, towels, bath supplies, etc.). I'm giving 1 star due to Letty who did a great job on my facial and made me feel special. She was the only one who also expressed the different offerings the spa had to offer. My last star is for the potential of this spa, because it seems like you could spend the day there and feel pampered if services were actually explained appropriately. They lose 1 star because I felt rushed when I arrived. I knew about the gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi's, etc., but no one really showed me anything. I didn't even know I could order lunch in and sit in the area overlooking the pool, which I would've done. I only found this out as I was leaving because I heard the front desk ladies (2) explain in detail to other customers all of their amenities. Also please note that snacks to this spa is trail mix and pretzels. The last star they lose is for the person who did my 80 minute massage. It was a gentleman, who only asked what pressure I preferred. I had to ask him to cool down the bed and slow down a couple of times. He didn't ask if there were areas to work on, areas I'm not comfortable him touching, or even if I was comfortable. He would slap, literally slap, oil on me and rush each area. I think he forgot I paid for a scalp treatment upgrade because he barely did it the last 5 minutes of the massage. Finally, I immediately had to take a shower afterwards because he didn't run any warm towel, or dry towel, after any area of the massage to remove the excess oil. I spent $500 including tip. It wasn't the money this time for me, I just wanted to pamper myself and feel special. If that is what you are looking for, I would try another spa. read more

The people are nice and the place is clean. I am a local and it is my first time visiting, I was told by others how awesome this spa is versus one I usually go to and frankly I'm just not impressed. There was no locals discount for the daily fee, assuming what others are talking about on local discounts would just be for massages because it surely wasn't for access. For $75 there's one sauna and one steam room, it's very small space for the daily access fee and 4 lounge chairs. It gets crowded everywhere leaving the "relaxing" part of a spa to the customers imagination. If they made this place bigger I would return but until then this was a waste of money for me and what I was looking for as my spa day. read more

This spa is awesome! My sister was visiting from South Carolina and we were celebrating at the spa with the 80 minute Mio massage. Our massages were the best! I've enjoyed many massages but this was the best! Everyone was so kind and professional! Beautiful spa and the jacuzzi's and the steam room is part of your experience at no charge. My niece called the spa and had a lunch sent to us and mimosa's to enjoy after our massage. The spa attendant set it all up for us. There was a Birthday card and truffles in her locker for my sister by the spa staff which was a nice touch. The spa also has special pricing for locals and seniors which is a plus! Made an appointment for a bang trim. Unfortunately same day appointment was not available however I was able to make one for the following day. Upon arrival to the spa my temperature was taken and I had to sign a waiver stating I do not have Covid or have not been exposed to it and I am not currently sick. It is required that you also sanitize your hands as well I was efficiently greeted by Elysse. I told how I usually get my bangs trimmed and she did her best to accommodate I was in and out in about 15min. Paid $25 plus a tip. (Normally my bang trim is only $5 LOL) but I mean it's a "spa" at a "resort" soooo I'm not complaining. Today is my 25th anniversary and I booked spa mio because of the reviews. I booked a facial and also a couples message being this is the thing my husband and I do each year, as a tradition. My husband message was awesome and My facial was wonderful. But the young lady who did my message was very rough. I asked her to be more gently. But she paid me no mind and continued to apply hard pressure. She also didn't address any of my concern areas. I told her specifically about my lower back was hurting and the top part of my feet. Right under my toes were hurting. She didn't even attempt to correct them areas. She barely even touched them. Worst Message I have had. Very disappointed!!!!!' A waste of money. It has been 10 years or more since the last time I was here. I remembered a great experience then, but today was exceptional. As a local, I decided that I needed to give my very dry skin some TLC. I chose the Simply Ageless 50 facial treatment and am so happy that I did. Veronica took care in applying all the layers in the treatment. I relaxed on the heated therapy bed and simply was transported to heaven. Why hadn't I done this sooner?
