Someone pinch me, because I feel like I'm dreaming... OH MY GOD, if you haven't had a SpaMio experience what are you waiting for?! Why haven't you had one yet?! I had the privilege to experience my first (of many more) Spa Mio sesh last Sunday and I seriously can't wait to book my next session! I have been on the hunt for a serious spa session since starting nursing school, cuz I had so much tension from everything. Spa Mio was the perfect cure y'all and you seriously need to schedule your Destress Appointment, like yesterday! When I booked my appointment I was told that I would have access to ALL the spa amenities, including the beautiful outdoor pool and the fitness room- so my hubby and I arrived an hour early. Little did I know that they also had a day party going on, which again- I had access to because it's included with my spa treatment! How cool is that! So we got to hang by the pool with drinks while the jams were blasting, such a perfect start! When it was time for our spa session we received a tour of the facility which is absolutely breath-taking and very well decorated. The interior of the spa is very welcoming and smelled very clean. The men and women locker rooms are separated but the join together for the treatment rooms. The locker room is huge. There is a separate wet room which consists of a eucalyptus steam room, 2 hot tubs and a sauna! They offer water, lemon cucumber spritzer and a watermelon refresher! The bathroom is huge with walk in showers, toilets and vanities where you can do your hair and make up. My husband and I had the couple package which included a 50 minute massage and 50 minute facial ($185). We started with the massage which was perfect; my massage therapist was GINA and she was perfect! I had a lot of tension built up in my back from Bodypump and Spin, so she was able to alleviate some of the knots throughout my back. Thanks Gina! My facial gal was SASHA and she really hydrated my skin! My skin just glowed and felt clean immediately after. Thanks Sasha! Went to Spa Mio as a birthday gift to myself. Luckily, my birthday fell on their 9 year anniversary in March and they ran a promotion on facials and massages for the month. (I apologize I am writing this review in April and now you missed out). It is a nice spa, but it is smaller than other places I have been to around town (I am kind of a spa tramp). It does have all the necessities you need: whirlpool (two of them, the same temp.) sauna and steam room. The showers were nice and the shampoo/conditioner was to die for, MOROCCAN OIL. There are NO co-ed areas to this spa. The only downside, like I said, is that it is small. There are 8 lounge chairs in the whirlpool area, so if there are more than 8 people around, it is TIGHT. Also, two ladies would constantly talk loud and ruin my relaxation time, that's how close everyone is. Jada was the lady who did my facial and she was great! The spa always seems to do great promotions and hooks up the locals, so check their website often! read more

This spa's management knowingly allows people to participate in sexual activities in the steam room and showers in the locker rooms. I am disgusted by the reaction of M security and spa mio management to continue to let this to happen in front of other guests after they were notified it was happening. Everyone deserves to know what's going on before booking an appointment at this spa. We have always enjoyed our experience at Spa Mio but this behavior should not be tolerated. Spa Mio was a nice option for me, since it was far enough away from the strip to avoid the crowd. I've been to my share of spas, and this place ranks pretty high up there. $25 gets you all day access to the facilities with re-entry, and entry into the gorgeous spacious pool, locker with robe and sandals. The perks: Moroccan oil shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, and even blow dryer. If you buy this stuff regularly, you'll appreciate being able to use it, cause it's so expensive!!! Bottled water, fruits, cranberry spritzer and cucumber water is always stocked. The cranberry spritzer is delicious btw, I probably had 6 of these. Plenty of toiletries, including razors, three types of hair brushes (for fussy people like me who needs a paddle brush), towels within steps of every corner, and lovely spa attendants. There seemed to be two who are dedicated to just stocking and tidying the spa area, and they are really helpful if you need anything. I forgot my hair serum in my luggage and she was more than happy to let me use the sample bottle. The areas: The spa amenities is by no means spacious. Small sized eucalyptus steam room, small dry sauna and small rain shower room. Twin hot tubs with a waterfall backdrop is gorgeous. Waiting room is cozy. The vanity room and showers are quite roomy though. It's also very very clean. Towels are always within arms reach. The lounge chairs are padded and very lush. I never felt dingy or feel icky at all - and no one should at a spa but it happens. The locker rooms are equipped with key pin lockpads, so no more losing your key or having that annoying thing attached to your wrist. Overall, I'm quite happy with Spa Mio and the staff are more than happy to be of service. It's about 7-10 minutes drive from the Revere at Anthem golf course so when your s/o is out in the dessert heat, you'll know where to relax! read more

My greeter made sure to let me know times of closing, what I needed to do and what was available to me with my massage. Here's where the four stars come in. First every time I looked up one of the staff members seemed to be following me. I know weird... I felt like they were trying to keep busy waiting for me to dirty something or drop a towel. Used to love coming here but lately things have been a bit off. The relaxation room is extremely loud. Employees shouting over each-other. This is a clothing optional spa and there are signs everywhere that phones are not permitted. Everyone around the spa in the relaxation room, saunas and jacuzzis has their phones in their hand. Also the jacuzzi area is very crowded. In the baths I could not get a seat anywhere and there was no room in the sauna or steam room. I think they allow way too many people into the facility that don't have appointments. They used to have magazines in the relaxation room but they have all been removed. I guess that's why everyone has their phones out. Don't really feel comfortable in any spa that allowed everyone to run around with their phones out. read more

I can't believe how long I have lived down the street from Spa Mio and that I have never been here until today. My boyfriend got me a gift card for my birthday and I booked a hot stone massage and signature facial. From the moment I stepped in I was greeted and given a tour by Daisy the spa attendant. She was so accommodating and helpful. She arranged to have lunch delivered after my services were completed. My hot stone massage was given by Carla and she was excellent. She asked me if I preferred all hot stone or a mix of hot stone and Swedish massage. I did a mix of the two and fell into a tiny slumber during my appointment. She also allowed me to select a scent from Doterra oils for aromatherapy during my appointment. When my massage was complete she walked me to a waiting area to wait for my facial with Sasha. Sasha was such a sweetie and did an amazing facial. My skin was cleansed, she did extractions, applied a nice mask, finished with a moisturizer and eye cream, and a light head and neck massage. She was very friendly and informed me of some of the other popular spa services that I plan to come back for. I had lunch overlooking the pool area. I was offered a beverage of my choice and was asked how everything was. I finished my experience by relaxing by the jacuzzi. I didn't go into the sauna or steam room because those aren't really my cup of tea. Daisy brought in beverages for everyone to enjoy and they have cold cucumber slices for your eyes. My current spa of choice! Take note, locals get 25% off all treatments 7 days a week! Yet that is not what got me in here today. The month of April offered a Tax Relief special that included 50 minute relaxation massage, 50 minute essential M facial, and 50 minute pedicure...for $200! That is $40 cheaper than the locally discounted price for all 3 combined, so I could not pass it up. I also had never had a facial before, and my feet were desperate for a pedicure. I arrived around 9:30 AM and was checked in by Leilani who was very sweet. She escorted me into the ladies side and Rachel gave me a tour, spa shoes, and a locker. I changed into my robe and went to the lounge area. There were lemon-cucumber waters and cranberry spritzers ready on a tray, but Rachel offered me tea or soda. I got green tea, sat down, and flipped through a magazine. Because I had 3 treatments in a row from 10-1, I decided not to go into the jacuzzi area (called the Wet Area there). At 10, my therapist Debbi came for me. She was awesome!!! I highly recommend her and would go back (she is very pregnant though so she may be gone for awhile soon). She told me the relaxation massage was light to medium, but I think she surprised me because it was not light at all, but very good consistent pressure throughout. In addressing my sensitive skin needs, she let me smell the oil which had a light green tea essence. This massage included pine extract foot balm, which was fine (I am allergic to fir trees so as long as it isn't fir!) After my amazing massage I waited in the treatment lounge area, with dark wood and neat lit walls. Another woman who booked the same package sat down and we chatted about our great day. Ashley was my esthetician. The essential M facial is customized to skin type, mine being generally sensitive and a tad oily. I had no idea what to expect. It did involve a lot of massaging the neck, back, shoulders and arms - so no complaints on additional massage. She used an algae scrub that smelled amazing on my face. The only thing I didn't like much was this humidifier/dryer thing she put over my face for 10ish minutes after the scrub. It was like being in a steam room just over my mouth and nose and made it hard to breathe, but I am sure it was for a good reason. Lastly, Evie was my nail technician for the pedicure. She helped me pick out a shiny OPI shade, but did warn me the massage chair was broken - no worries, I had basically had 2 hours of massage prior! She offered suggestions for my dry feet and did a nice job scrubbing my yucky dry calloused skin. Evie gave me the foot scrubber, buffer and file to take with me at the end. Rachel got me a coke while I let my nails dry for 20ish minutes then took a rainshower to finish my day. The spa had all of the needed toiletries, including Moroccan Oil shampoo. I used the hair dryer at the vanity area and I was ready to go, sans make-up! Check-out was easy and the facilities are absolutely beautiful. I've been coming here for years and my visit on Christmas Eve left a lot to be desired. The receptionist was just OK in terms of warmth and checking me in. What I like about this spa is that they don't overbook so I always have enough space to change and walk around in peace. I did notice that this time around as people came and went the towels had overflowed in the hamper and were on the floor. The bathroom and vanity areas were not reset as they usually are through use. And the staff was not in uniform or checking in with me as they normally do. 99% of the time I've visited Mio the staff in the spa area are roaming around tidying and checking in with me. It's a really nice touch. They had two women in the spa area in casual clothes. One was on her phone, the other was aloof and when I walked into the locker area she was sorting through a large pile of hangers and just looked at me blankly. It was very awkward. The shampoo & conditioners were not filled up so I had to take off the top and shake it out, just like at home! This was when things started to unravel with my experience. Perhaps the usual staff was on vacation? I had a massage and body scrub back to back. Both services were very good. Sometimes the massage therapists are not engaged and make you feel unwelcome. This should be looked into. The back area rooms are beautiful and I don't feel like the front of the spa matches that level of luxury anymore. I'll be back and hopefully my next visit is more on par with previous years. This spa is a nice little gem tucked away from the hustle and noise of the strip. Services are not cheap so I do hope they work on keeping this spa up to industry standards as the prices didn't lower and for most are not affordable. I was there early enough that I had the facilities all to myself, which was great! Next was my massage. Tony was my massage therapist and he did not disappoint! I opted for the aroma massage and got to pick an aroma upon check-in. The massage itself was the best I've ever had! The room itself was comfortable and I was able to unwind. The shower facilities are pretty awesome as well! They have everything you would need to shower and get ready for the day. The vanity tables were great for applying makeup and fixing hair. hands down the best spa I've been to yet! The staff here made everything so easy. I had such a wonderful experience from booking my appointment all the way to checking out. I went here this past weekend. My husband got me a wonderful package as part of my birthday gift. The waiting area is beyond relaxing! Very cozy and inviting. They had all the amenities you could ask for. They also had a self serve station with fresh fruit, cucumber/lemon water and raspberry spritzers. The vanity area had everything you needed from shaving cream to disposal underwear upon request if you weren't comfortable being nude during any treatments. I got what was called the "Moroccan Mio" which was a fantastic full body scrub/exfoliation, followed by a temperature controlled cacoon wrap. Then I got to rinse off in a private shower located in the treatment room that had 8 shower heads- YES that's right 8 heavenly shower heads!!!!! 1 on top like rain fall, 1 behind you, and 3 on each side of your body. Just genius!!!! After the rinse off, it was back to the table where a hydration gel was massaged into my skin from head to toe. Oh i forgot to mention while you're in the cacoon, you are getting a wonderful scalp treatment as well :) I smelled like heaven all day. After all of that, then its off to get the pedicure which also has moroccan oils and scrub which took away all the cracked skin on my heels. I also got a wax paraffin treatment for my heels which made my skin fee like butter! Both my pedicurist and esthetician were absolutely wonderful. They didn't push tons of products on me, they made me feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time. If anyone has the chance to get this package it is a MUST! I came to Spa Mio three times total while I was staying in the M Resort for three days. There is nothing much to do in this area and I am glad they have a great spa. Unlike some other spa I've been to where I was unable to relax deeply, I regained my energy here and this is a great place for some alone time or hang out with girlfriends. Men has separate spa area. 1) The Spring Essential Facial I got was a hotel guest special for $95 before the 20% tips. The treatment room is clean and quite big in size. They used products from the line Comfort Zone that are straight from Italy. The aroma of this product line was great and my skin felt comfortable and soft after the facial. My skin therapist Melanie did a great job. My neck, upper shoulder area, and my hands were also being taken care of in additional to my face. The message was blissful and Melanie offered some samples for me after the facial. It was great going to facial and not being pushed to buy products. I have facials regularly and this is one of the top three facials I had for sure. Spa Mio has not mark up the products and the price was comparable to Amazon and other websites online. Their marketing manager definitely done one of the best marketing strategy by creating the 12 days of Christmas special. Basically everyday has a different special offer during Christmas. This is one of the more original ideas I came across and I am impressed. I am also a happy customer because I got 25% off the regular retails price. 3) I came in again this time bringing my sister so that she can use the spa pass while I paid $15. It was early morning on a weekday and there were only two other customer in the spa when we arrived. The spa attendant let us know there are plenty of appointments that can be made right away. Later on, we had the whole spa for our own. We were drinking the signature spa drink with pineapple and cranberry juice, eating fruits and reading magazines in the lounge area. First time I went to this spa and loved it! The massage was a birthday gift from my boyfriend and I was given the choice of location. I did a little research and decided to try the M. A girlfriend of mine was staying on the strip for business so I thought she might like to get away from the strip. I booked us therapeutic massages. The spa is contempo and very beautiful. It has a great atmosphere, shower gel and shampoo in the showers, Morroccan Oil hair products, great lotions. The masseuse (can't remember her name, sorry) was awesome. She used the right amount of pressure and hot towels, it was great. I like it better than the spa at The Mirage. I am a local and the M offers 25% off all services for locals, which is awesome. The M is a beautiful resort and was celebrating its one year anniversary, so they had elegant cakes and champagne throughout the resort free for patrons. read more

Facility itself was great. Massage was not as described. Second service started nearly 30 minutes late which impacted other plans negatively and customer service was poor. I really wanted to love this spa but the experience, service and cost are not in alignment. read more

Detailed review: (They were rated 4 star by Forbes Travel Guide) Called to book an appointment for me, my sister and my Mom. We all booked for Mio Signature Massage. We all had female therapist. We checked in about 30 minutes before our scheduled massage. Ladies will check you in the front and ask for you to sign a waiver. She then took us inside, and another spa receptionist greeted us and ask if its our first time there. She asked for our sizes for slippers and provided it for us. She assigned our lockers and we get our plush robes in there, and then gave us a tour of their spa. It wasn't that big but its decent. There's 2 jacuzzis, 1 dry sauna, 1 steam room (which had a cold towel outside and cold cucumber available for use when you use the steam room) and 1 rainfall shower. Phones weren't allowed on that area because all ladies can be fully nude and it wasn't communal for couples. They also have vanity area. This includes the hairdryer, and you can use hair straightener or curler upon request to the spa attendant. After the lady gave us a tour, she did not mention that we can use the gym as well for free. We had to ask it ourselves. Their gym was nice. Towels, earphones and water are available for you to use. I think on summer time, the outside pool of M Resort is free for the spa guest to use as well. She then told us to be come back and be at the waiting area 5 minutes before the appointment. They offer apples and oranges, and refreshers like cucumber lemon juice and cranberry juice. They had magazines for you to read while waiting. I had Melissa for my massage. It was great! (3pm original appointment) Though they called me 5 minutes (3:05) late from my appointment and she still had to advise me what's gonna happen on the massage and still had to take my robe off. So she basically started my massage 10 minutes late (3:10) i really thought they will keep massaging me until 4pm since i scheduled for 50 minute massage, but then she end it on 3:50pm on the dot. So basically i only had 40 minutes of massage. (This is why i knocked off a star on this review) Any way, I recommend Mio massage because it includes everything. Full body massage, reflexology, scalp massage, and they use aroma too and customized pressure. Its just weird how she did my feet first before my face during the massage. I mean she washed her hands and all, i just think it makes more sense if she touched my face/scalp first before doing the reflexology. Melissa told me she'll start the massage with a medium pressure and i just had to tell her in the middle of the massage if i want her to adjust the pressure. The pressure was just right for me overall. It actually helped all my knots on my back. The price for Mio Signature was $165 but then for Nevada locals, we get 25% off which was a great deal! When they give you your check, the receipt will print out your total including the tips which was 20% automatically written there. The 20% tip was based of the original price not the discounted price, but then they said you can change the tip if you want. I just left it like that. Overall, it was great and recommended. But i won't recommend it for couples because other than getting the massage on the same room, there were no other place for you two to enjoy the spa together. read more
