With so many highly rated salons nearby, I want to give a shout out to Jerome, and One40. He kindly fit me into his full schedule when my original stylist was out sick, and did not feel like he was "fitting me in". I had a delightful 1 hr 15 min for a much needed trim/wash/blow out. I wish I could start everyday with his wash/dry treatment, and a chat. My experience as a 1 time (traveling) customer was perfect. First time I went to see Karla.She said I did not book enough time to do whole head . Was only able to do crown . J was still very dark at roots. Now I go again and book the most time I can on there website. I noticed part way thru that only partial eas done. She spoke I will it. Then when she is finishing I say it is still dark and not all done ? She says I did not put toner on roots , not enough time !! Should have looked ahead of time to give me enough time , especially since first time was such a small area ! I took my mom, her name is Janeen, to the salon for the first time to see Karla for a cut & color. My mom is in a wheelchair and cannot walk, but she can transition in to a chair. Karla was very accommodating and helpful in getting my mom situated in her chair. Since it was my mom's first appointment, Karla was very attentive while discussing with her what kind of cut & highlights she wanted. My mom was very happy with the outcome! She loved her color and cut! The cut also made it very easy for her to style on her own, considering she has only one hand to work with. i was really stressing about having to find a new hair salon, since permanently moving to Lake Las Vegas in February. I previously kept going back to our home in Southern California, but now that is sold. I've had the same hair dresser for over 40 years, so this was a big deal. I made an appointment at the One 40 Salon on Lake Mead Blvd. (in the same shopping center as CVS) and am I ever pleased. The salon is lovely and super clean. Everyone is COVID aware and safe. I went four times and My hair is not even close to the color I wanted and now it is burnt and looks like shit! I stopped payment on my cc because I was so unhappy I went back in get it fixed but it still looks like shit now it's even shorter I'm just going to wear a hat! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! Well where do I begin? My stylist was Lotus and the experience was absolutely horrifying. Her station was super messy and I thought i was going to give her the benefit of the doubt... wrong idea! Not only is her workstation messy but so is her attitude! I told her I just want a natural color like a light brown and she gives me a dark brown. Not only is the color not on point but I AM EXPERIENCING HAIR LOSS! This woman has a nasty attitude and she is making my hair fall out! I would think someone who dyes their hair as much as she does would know how to take better care of someone else's hair! I wasn't even asking for anything crazy! Just a simple light brown. Idk maybe her hair is falling out too. It looks like it. She also smells of cigarettes and beer! I think if you are going to work in the industry you should take a shower, maybe??? My daughter has long, thick, curly hair that is very time consuming to blow out straight. Don't get your hair done here!!! I went for a consultation and wanted to color my hair in a rose gold hue. I asked specifically if it could be done on my hair and if she understood what I was asking for... I was assured that she could do as I asked. I came for my appointment and the process took several hours longer than it should have, the results were not even close to what I wanted, and my hair was totally fried to the point it broke off and I had to wait oVer a year to do anything to my hair again. Also another woman came in during my appointment to complain about her hair color being not at all what she wanted and she left very angry as the woman doing my hair offered no solutions to her complaint.
