Let's face it. With the exception of the scalp, hair everywhere else is unwelcome and has become synonymous with thorns on a rose -- no one wants the prickles, they only want the beautiful flower. And you can bet your flower will be hairless, I mean thornless, in no time at Stripped Esthetics (located inside Phenix Salons). Of all the Brazilian waxing experiences I've had via Groupon, this place ranks high up there. Kristy possesses the natural conversational quality and has an easygoing personality that just makes you feel comfortable from the start. It was like talking to an old friend. That or she's a very good actress. Either way, it's awesome. Like other reviewers have stated, the wax itself is considerably less painful here. It may be because of the hard wax, but also because she does smaller portions at a time. Some people value speed -- I've had waxes where I was done in 5 minutes -- but I prefer minimal pain and thoroughness. Kristy delivers both. Very important especially when you come in with a full-fledged rosebush. (Get it? Ahh okay...) She also took the time to tweeze out stray hairs. I decided to get my underarms waxed too (done with soft wax) but word of advice, grow out them pits for maximum results. I felt like I should have waited a little longer for some of the hair growth cycles to catch up. Overall, I think I've found one of my favorite waxing estheticians and definitely recommend her. Tell her I sent you over. PS -- Don't get her confused with Bare Esthetics, which is also located inside Phenix Salons. They are both great estheticians, though! read more

Kristy was amazing! Best Brazilian wax I've had so far. She does it in smaller sections than most places and takes up to 30 minutes for her Brazilian waxes. With this process, it's less painful. She also uses hard wax which I think is the best wax for this part of the body. I've had it done at many different businesses and I'm so happy I found her! The whole experience was phenomenal. She's so open with conversations and will let you know if she's able to see you earlier than your scheduled appointment. Her new location is so beautifully decorated and clean. There is a lot of parking available as well. If you've been hesitant on trying Stripped Esthetics, don't be. You will love your experience here. If you're looking for somewhere, you've found the place!!!! I live super FAR from here and I do not mind driving back every month for this service, it was quick & surprisingly not that painful!! My pain tolerance is pretty low so I expected this to hurt A LOT but I promise you it wasn't bad!!! It's probably the wax she uses but regardless AMAZING experience. i am really disappointed and really sad. i didn't expect to give a 1 star at all. i saw the good reviews at this place and called in to see if they could fit me in for a last minute full leg. i was very happy to hear that they could. they greeted me very nicely and i was very excited for my wax. the girl who did my wax was very sweet and told me it was her first time waxing here. she usually does lashes. i felt like it was weird for them to book a newbie for me, and no one was shadowing her. she used soft wax for an hour and i was barely 50% done. she started using hard wax and it went by faster and more efficiently. it was over 1 hour by the time she was "done" was both sides. I told her there were a lot of missing spots and she went ahead and started waxing it. i realized that 30% of my legs were un-waxed and i really couldn't stay there that much longer because i had a dinner. they told me 1 hr is how long it took, but we went over. i've been waxed outside before and it took only 35-45 mins for everything to be done. i felt really disappointed that they booked me a newbie because i did not expect that. they gave me 50% off, but going home and checking my legs again, the time wasted & the extra work i have to do to wax myself is not worth it. i felt like i shouldn't have paid at all for a mediocre service. it wasn't the waxers fault, but i wish the business did not assign me a newbie. and id appreciate if they told me it was a newbie and she would take over an hour. or if she had a wax expert guiding her. i felt like the waxing was very unprofessional. i'm never the type to complain (especially towards small businesses), but i'm so so disappointed. and i just want to write an honest review. i hope they can evaluate what happened today and try to prevent this in the future. read more

Kristy is the nicest person ever. I have been going to her for more than a year now to do my brazilian waxing. I totally trust her and she uses high quality wax. I even got my husband to go here with me to wax his chest and stomach. My husband normally turns red and itch a lot everytime he gets a wax, but not here. Very smooth and slippery. :) No irritations. Her studio is very clean. I show up to my appointment and Kristy is always ready to take me, I rarely remember times I have to wait. The pricing is very reasonable and the quality of work is high.
