The environment was also quite distracting. I could hear other people talking and laughing loudly. Furthermore, it sounded like the therapist was wearing an AirPod, as I could hear a podcast or separate music playing over the ambient room music. Honestly, I couldn't wait for the session to end. During my visit, Bertha told me the bumps and acne were actually being caused by waxing/shaving my face at home. This was causing ingrown hairs to form on my face, hence the bumps that would not go away no matter the products I used. She educated me thoroughly about my skin, which I appreciated so much. With just one visit, I understood the cause of my breakouts and what I could do to prevent them. Other estheticians I've went to recommended I come back every 2-3 weeks. But Bertha did such an amazing job with the extractions the first visit, she recommended I wait and see how my skin heals before scheduling again.
