There wasn't one thing that was not delicious. In fact, I told my husband that the mashed potatoes were the best I'd had in a restaurant since we moved to Erie 7 years ago. The pork chop was divine - it had this crust on it that was crazy good. But then...THEN...we had the waffle and ice cream dessert. Holy...cow...it was the most ridiculously good dessert I've had in, well, as long as I can remember. I will dream of that dessert. The owner and the chef stopped by our table and spoke with us. It's worth noting that like many restaurants in West County, there is a rather limited and traditional set of offerings for those seeking vegetarian options, although I'd love to see that change. The updates to the inside were nice and refreshed from the previous establishment, most noteably to the bar and bathrooms, although you can't miss the adorable dog murals in the main dining area (a big perk for this dog lover). We're looking forward to seeing how the outdoor area emerges once the weather breaks, as we understand there will be yard games, outdoor seating, and a refined and engaging pay-to-play dog park on-site. In the meantime, I recommend this place as a casual place to grab a snack and drink or get dinner out with family and friends. Somewhere beneath the fries and chicken there is a ton of lettuce, cheese, onion, tomato, and hard boiled egg. It's always a touch humorous to have your bowl arrive, be bigger than everyone else's AND have the luxury of technically being "a salad." It's delicious. Lorie's is also a staple for my family. Whenever I visit, I'm typically adventuring across their breakfast menu, and I've never been disappointed. Service is kind and some of the fastest I've experienced.
