I wanted 3 hours to get my food.. the waiter couldn't get any of the meals or drinks right. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The food was great! This is a good place to grab some wings and beer.

I can't wait to go back! The Courtyard was what we hoped for…read moreand more. Beautifully positioned on the bay, the hotel had an amazing view, especially from the front walk and infinity pool. We stayed at this hotel as a family of 5 (including an infant) and we were very comfortable for us. There's a smaller cafe in the lobby that serves coffee and breakfast. It was much better than I anticipated. We tried a few breakfast items and I think we may have enjoyed it more than the actual restaurant itself. We tried it on a very sunny day so no umbrella was going to help us from the sunshine and heat. The only downside is that there were some yellowjackets on the bushes during our meal, which we addressed with management. Not sure if they took care of it but it drove us inside to finish our meal. Had that not happened, we would have had a 5 star experience. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and nice. We stayed over a few nights when there was construction and it detoured how we returned to the hotel. The nightly rate is quite high but it was overall such a nice experience I thought it was worth it. It was a bit annoying that we were also charged a parking fee given the rate. I think it should be included. Overall a great experience. If you plan to stay in Erie this hotel is your place!

Very pricey. For the price there are minimal amenities. Seems very clean. Pools are small. Indoor…read morepool smells more like a pool of chlorine with a splash of water. Which I understand wanting to kill germs. Never saw a single staff member in the pool room or outside at the infinity pool which I found a little odd. Our skin still faintly smelled of chlorine even after showering. The laundry room was the only place I felt needed cleaning. There was a pair of underwear on top of a washer for two days. One dryer was out of order and I noticed a staff member was using the big washing machine which was odd seeing as they have laundry service for a hefty price tag. The lint trap on the dryer was disgusting. I scraped it clean with an old gift card so I didn't have to physically touch the lint. We desperately needed laundry done, but I wouldn't recommend using their laundry facilities. There wasn't a microwave in the room. The advertised "mini fridge" left everything barely cool. When we called down the next day, after losing any food we put in the night before, we were told, "it's more like a cooler than fridge". So we threw that food away for safety sake and then only put a few things in. There was a button to cool it for 2 hours. We tried to stay on a schedule clicking it. For the price of this hotel you'd think at least a fridge and microwave might be in the rooms. Add in the fact that breakfast wasn't included... it seems they were trying to do anything they could to make you reliant on their pricey restaurants and mini market. The restaurant food was good, drinks majorly overpriced. The mini market they have has not one price marked. When I asked about a price the desk clerk had no idea, but asked if I wanted to charge it to the room, which I did not. I skipped buying anything. Definitely had beautiful views, nice seating inside and out to enjoy the sunsets. I'd recommend it I guess. Just be aware you won't get much other than an uncomfortable bed for a big price tag, I ended up sleeping on the chair with added pillows and the ottoman. Also a view you can get for free at presque isle or dobbins landing. If money is not an issue for you this is the place for you.

This was not our first time dining at Crosswinds and won't be our last. Having dined here…read morepreviously (and being generally pleased with the meals), I was a bit surprised by some of the reviews. Tonight my wife and I each ordered a cup of French onion soup - delicious and deep in flavor. Accompanying the mains was the roasted beet salad, a great, light spacer. We then enjoyed the duck - blushing and wonderfully tender - along with the bone-in strip, cooked to a perfect medium rare topped with a generous portion of garlic shrimp. The sides were crispy fries, well seasoned mashed potatoes, and an impressive cauliflower au gratin - rich, creamy, and the cauliflower retaining great texture. While the prices are a step up (once or twice a year kind of meal for us), the quality of ingredients, cooking, and flavor are excellent. Well done to the chefs who served us so well tonight. Crosswinds offers unique dishes, flavors, and a caliber of cooking that will bring us back for more.

I love the fact that they source their beef locally. My sister and I chose the 6 ounce sirloin filet with three shrimp. The flavor was excellent but the steak was a bit chewy. My daughter had the duck and loved it. We were there in September and they still were using valet parking only. I thought it odd since there were plenty of spaces available, but I can understand the need for it during the season. Overall, it was a good dining experience, just not totally happy with the tenderness of the beef.
