But having worked in the restaurant business (a Cracker Barrel to be exact), I understand that when a new location opens there are MANY kinks to iron out. There was a HUGE serving turnover. Cracker Barrel is no piece of cake serving job. With that being said, most of the "bad" reviews are from then, when they first opened. Since then, I've been to this location several times and have never had a bad experience. The service is quick and attentive. I order the same breakfast every time and they are very consistent. My bacon is always truly crispy like I request. The biscuits are fresh and no, I don't mind waiting for a fresh batch to come out because those are the best. I've also ordered take out several times and am very specific on what I want, I've never had anything missing or wrong. I think other than good service and consistent food, the thing that stood out to me is how clean this location always is. The floor is clean, the tables are bussed and set up correctly, the bathrooms are spotless. This is rare at any restaurant and is a huge plus in my eyes. If you're local or just passing through on the interstate, the Mayfield Cracker Barrel will not disappoint, and if for some reason they do, the management is top notch and will take care of you!
