This is a solid four for the area. Food is pretty solid, and a good value for the most part. Interior is clean and fairly spacious, and I like that the pizza oven is front and center. I ordered Beef/vegetable Kabobs. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium. The flavor of this entry was excellent, but the meat had a lot of gristle that I had to politely remove from my mouth and place in a paper napkin after much chewing. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I'll give this meal three stars. I will say that I probably will not order this entree next time we eat at Tom's. A bad meal does not disqualify Tom's as a great place for other menu choices. My husband had an awesome salmon filet meal! read more

One of Murray's best, the menu is pretty diverse and full of Tom's specialized dishes. Very comfortable and elegant atmosphere with very friendly and professional service. The French Onion Soup was a fantastic starter to our meal and if I may suggest, order the Greek Salad for the table. Small but nice wine list. My first time dining here was absolutely amazing! I had the grilled salmon and had them add the Cajun seasoning to it. My salmon was juicy, fresh, and flavorful! However, my second time ordering takeout was definitely a disappointment. After the first time, I was SO excited to try it again so I'm upset that I will now double think if I want to go back or not. Everything seemed lazy. My salmon was dry ... and it feels they didn't pay attention to the seasoning. It was sort of just thrown on there. The tops to my sauces were halfway open. My dill sauce was all over the inside of the container, and my ranch got all over my bread that came with the salad. My salad didn't taste fresh..and warm. I ordered an hour and 15 before closing..but I didn't expect the standards to drop that low from active hours. My experiences have been a hit or miss. read more

My family eats here at least twice a month. But tonight.... Super disappointed. We were sat. And after waiting 15 minutes for someone to come take our drink order, or for anyone to even acknowledge that we were there, we walked out. No one even noticed we walked out. Multiple waitresses waited on all the tables surrounding us. Even the people sat at the table next to us mentioned how it was inexcusable that we were being blatantly ignored. read more

Closer to Hardin than other restaurants in Murray. More updated menu than most small town restaurants here. Lasagna, Spinach Dip, Salad great. The pizza was sooo delicious. They were running a special buy one and get the second half price. We got the pizza with all the meats and one with meats and veggies. Perfect fit for us. We have decided to go back to try other entrees. They have everything from seafood to prime rib. The service was excellent! The atmosphere was amazing. The owner came by to say hello and talk to us a minute. It is owned by a local who cares about how his customer's are enjoying their time and personal opinions. It seems to be a perfect place for family, friends, business partners and a great place to have a dinner date. We forgot to get our leftover to go box and called about it. The owner came to the phone and explained that he left it at the counter one hour for us and then discarded it . Now! That's what I'm talking about! What a personal experience. Good beef is my lasting impression of Tom's, associated with the Best Western on Murray's north side. We had a Sunday lunch reservation for six, and, upon arrival, were promptly seated at a large round table in a quiet corner to the left of the main entry. Our server Kelly was appropriately attentive, keeping everyone well watered, coked, and iced-tea'd. The ladies enjoyed Greek salad, club sandwich, and Dimitri's (bacon & cheese) chicken. But the men focused on NY strip, Tom's Ribeye, and Hawaiian (pineapple-topped) Ribeye. Mmmm... I still can taste it, medium-rare and melts-in-your-mouth tender. Good Beef! read more

The lovely Ms. Jones coiffed her big soap opera hair for a romantic early New Year's Eve dinner with her Rock Star husband. Although Tom's wasn't on her radar for the evening, she's incredibly happy fate led her and her beloved to this wonderful restaurant. Having walked out of a Thai restaurant in town due to ridiculously poor service, Ms. Jones salvaged the evening by suggesting a visit to Tom's. It was such an incredible night and day difference from the Thai restaurant. At Tom's, we were greeted warmly, seated promptly and had excellent service throughout our meal even though the restaurant was moderately busy. Velvet had the chicken parmesan and Mr. Rockstar had a burger. BOTH were DELICIOUS! The restaurant was festively decorated in beautiful Christmas greenery with twinkle lights throughout and was spotless. Booths were comfortable, private and clean. An added bonus to Tom's is the opportunity to enjoy an adult beverage with your meal at a reasonable price. Will Ms. Jones and her Rock Star husband be back? Absolutely! Enjoyed my visit back very much so. He toms chicken was great and seasoned so well i couldn't dare to use the honey mustard it came with. Buddy had alfredo and shrimp and it was spot on! I was staying next door at the hotel so I wondered over to see what the locals enjoy. I appreciated the waitress who was really nice. Food was well prepared and didn't make he think less of the local population. It's nicer inside than what I expected. Went here a couple of nights ago got the beef kabobs. The tasted of the grill and what I could taste of the marinade was salty. The sever was great but the food is not good. The vegetables that I had with me meal where smothered in so much butter that you could not eat them. Beat part of the meal was the roll. read more

My husband and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. Excited to be out alone. Went to Tom's early to beat the crowd. There was none. Ordered the special, Prime Rib! Yummy! Couldn't be further from the truth. Ended up with all our food, appetizer and all, at the same time. Asked for a to go container for the rest of the dip. Styrofoam cup for drinks, nothing for pita. Salad had brown lettuce mixed in, veggies tasted like they had been in the fridge was something rotten, prime rib was so fatty! Drinks had very little ice. Clean, friendly and tasty with a decent selection of sandwiches, salads and pastas. I had the seafood pasta with a side salad. The Greek dressing was a tangy mix of red wine vinegar and oil. My family ate here on our recent trip to Murray. Meals ordered were Prime Rib with baked potato, stir fry with baked potato, chicken tenders with baked potato, chicken tenders with French fries. With 4 waters. Bill was $48. Prime rib was excellent tasting, but had a lot of fat. Baked potatoes were excellent and large sized. Chicken tenders were probably the best I ever had, highly recommend trying them. Fries were good. The stir fry was not very good, all you could taste was grill. Free bread the whole time you eat. Came in on a Friday night for a date night with my fiancé. This restaurant is claimed to be one of the best in Murray but the food was awful. I had the ribeye and a baked potato, the steak was about 60% fat and the potato was microwaved and was like rubber. I had the waitress remove the meal off of my ticket and do not plan on returning. read more

I took my husband for his birthday at Tom's Grill and with other two friends. I like Tom's Grill and the food are great. BUT after tonight... while I was eating my food we found cockroach on my food, YUCK and lose my appetite. The waiter and manager apologize and deduct some amount on my bills. read more
