During that time, we have stayed in all of their beautifully appointed rooms and found that each has is own charm. Our favorite is The Garden Room overlooking The back yard. The beds are, of course, very comfortable and the entire house is immaculate. Now, let's talk about the food! We have stayed regularly at B&Bs over the past 20 years and I can state confidently and enthusiastically that the Sobotta Manor's breakfasts are hands-down the best we have had anywhere (restaurants included). The friendly, do-it-all owners Robin and JR continue to ensure that will continue, as their award winning breakfasts are renowned and rightly so. Let me emphasize that this is not your typical B&B fare but more closely resembles a four course meal that changes daily. It is an event in itself and should be savored. Robin and JR are obviously passionate about their B&B, love sharing it with their guests and take great pride in doing so. I highly recommend giving it a try. Like so many of its customers, I assure you will want to return again and again!

The owners Thurman (Jr.) and Robin are such nice people and we had multiple opportunities to chat a bit and get to know them and the manor history. That's what makes B&B's so special is meeting the owners and people staying there, The Inn is very elegant and the bedroom (#3) we stayed in was great. The breakfast was excellent and during breakfast we got to know a bit about Robin and JR. We highly recommend you stay there and we plan to go back and have some more time to experience Mt. Airy, especially the many wineries that are in the area. Thanks you Robin and JR for a wonderful experience and we look forward to seeing you in 2018.

Chris was a great host and we enjoyed talking with him at breakfast (which was delicious both days). Chris suggested a few things to do around town that were neat to check out. He even booked a reservation for the Squad Car Tours for us and the other couple staying there (if you're a fan of the Andy Griffith Show, this is a must). Our room, The Coventry Suite, was great. It looked just like the pictures except it was decorated for Christmas which was a nice touch. The 2 person jacuzzi easily fit my wife and I. The bed was super comfy as well. The location could not be beat. It was only a 5 minute walk to Main Street in downtown Mt Airy. There was a lot of little shops and neat places to check out. I highly recommend this B&B.

We had a great dinner (Mis Arados) and great coffee (Becca's) - so I would recommend visiting Sparta and staying here.

I then emailed back to inquire about his cancellation policy. He said 7 days. I called him the next day to book our accomodations. He said that he had changed his mind when I asked about the cancellation policy. "It concerned him that I asked". "No one had ever asked about that before and that we would be tying up 75% of his inventory for that weekend and if we cancelled he would lose money that weekend." I assured him that I always verify a cancellation policy anytime I reserve a hotel or Airbnb and that we would only cancel in an emergency situation (medical, death, etc.). He still said he was concerned. I find it hard to believe that no one has asked about his cancellation policy in the years he has been doing this. That is a normal procedure when making a reservation. He was rude about the entire thing. Maybe he can find someone else that wants to rent 3 of 4 places he has at one time for that weekend! Good luck!
