We spent one night. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Will stay there again when we visit Mt Airy again.

Needs to be cleaned and sanitized. Brown stuff dripping down the bathroom walls. Lots of nats coming out of the sink drain, hand prints all-over the headboard. Adult handprints not kids. Old period stains on the sheets, the mattress cover had some stuff on it looking like dried vomit, black makeup smeered on the shower towel. Just nasty and it wasn't cheap either. We were going to stay a week but left after 1 night after driving all day from out of state. Wouldn't have given any stars but 1 was the least. read more

I hate to give it stars at all. It was a dump. Paid good money for 1 night to get the room we did. The way the room is they should be shut down. Said it was a best western turned into a knights inn. They lied. It went from an economy lodge to the knights inn. Saying rooms are non smoking and stink to high heaven like smoke. Look at my pictures and they will explain my illness towards this establishment. Please be wary.. don't choose this hotel. read more

Very clean room. Firm pillows and mattress. Nice size tv. Overall good condition for one night however, we pre booked a room and upon arrival in 100 degree weather the air conditioning was not on and it took a while to cool off. Also confused as to why the pool wasn't open in such warm weather. read more

Stole money...bad management! Charged my credit card when reservation was canceled 3 months prior. We planned a trip to go to Mayberry Days, and this was the only property still available. As soon as we had to cancel our trip...this was the first thing I canceled. Woke up today with a charge on my card...even though we never stayed here or checked in here. I wish I could rate the room quality and cleanliness...but I have never even stepped foot in this property...and I never will. read more

after i get to my room I went to warm up my dinner and there was chicken wing bones still in the microwave from im guessing the last person stayed in that room, also found someones else mail in the chair. They don't seem to clean these room throughly. The first night I stayed a crackhead walked up to my room asking me if I had anything and when I go to tell the girl up front bc the man came up to me not once but twice and it started to make me feel uneasy, she tells me the man has checked out but as I'm walking out of the office I see the same man go back into the room he just "checked out "of. I was highly disappointed and will not be staying again. read more

I spent the night here in early January, 2021. My daughter picked this motel because it was a chain she had heard of. I wish I had taken pictures of our room because the pictures posted weren't quite the room we had. The layout for two full/queen beds is true but ours was much darker and a little drab. We could see that they are remodeling and the floors and bathroom looked brand new. The room was clean and the beds nice and firm. Nothing fancy but got a good nights sleep. One thing needs to definitely change. There was no hair dryer!! I was only staying over one night so I didn't think I would need one. Maybe I should have asked at the desk but I just made do with messy hair. Sorry, I don't know the price - my daughter handled that but she did say the price was lowered by $12 when she clicked to book it. One more thing. There was an ice bucket in the room, but after a walk all the way around the motel, we found an ice machine that wouldn't give ice! Asked at the desk and they said they turn it off in the winter because it freezes! Why have an ice bucket in the room then? At least there is a fridge that we set very cold so everything froze by morning. read more

My wife and I booked this motel, on June 1, 2018, knowing full well it was NOT the Hilton ... I made a booking error and instead of a non-smoking room, it was actually a smoking room! Jatin Patel immediately went out of his way to relocate us without us being there as my band was performing at The Blackmon Amphitheatre. When we arrived back at the Knights Inn, we were treated with respect and told ANYTHING we needed to call him! My band was scheduled to return to The Blackmon in August 2018, so we again booked and stayed there ... this is our mainstay motel when in the Mt Airy area thanx mainly to the friendliness and respect shown us by Mr. Patel. Decor is very dated, breakfast selection is very limited, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. The bed is firm, but comfortable. The bedding is sufficiently warm for the cool autumn nights, but there were only two small pillows for a king sized bed. They honored a coupon we had for $20.00 off the room. Owner is extremely rude. We checked out 1/2 late & he scolded us like children. The bathroom walls look like something was thrown on them & not wiped off. The first room we were given had period blood stains on the sheets. Seriously, even if they were washed who would put them back in a bed? Nasty place, rude service! read more

This is an great motel if your looking for somewhere to stay with a low budget I would highly recommend staying here the beds are great the rooms include 1-2 beds a TV a mini fridge with a freezer also includes a microwave a sink a bathroom tub and toilet the aslo includes a night stand, couch, lamp right beside lamp with glass table, a table with a rolling chair and a mirror right above central air and heat they give u basic cable and they give some things that u might need like plates silverware cups towels wash rags this is an great motel 5stars for me read more

I was so happy with this little Motel. Awesome price and my room had great Internet wifi available. Very nice remodeled rooms... Good AC clean room good beds microwave, small fridge, great cable TV ... The Patel family really do a wonderful job with this place oh and did I mention a nice breakfast each morning. Your standard budget motel. Bed, bathroom and TV is all I need when I have to spend the night on the road but the wifi, mini-fridge and microwave were a nice bonus. read more

Heater didn't heat room, hair dryer didn't work, towels were scratchy, burnt out light bulb, wireless Internet signal was only about 40% and shower head was to loose so it sprayed on the wall and not on me. The room was mostly clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall not my best experience at a motel. read more

My recent stay at the Knights Inn in Mount Airy/Mayberry couldn't have been worse for the eighty dollars that I paid for me and my son. After a long day of travel, we rolled into the Knights Inn because there were no other vacancies anywhere else. I paid my eighty dollars for the room with two double beds and the advertised free internet access "in the room" and the advertised full cable access. As a military vet with thirty years of experience in third world countries...I wouldn't have been surprised to find this quality of room or service...IF I WERE NOT IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. First thing, as we walked into the sweltering room...I had to search for the thermostat. There was no thermostat. I finally located the air conditioning unit in the wall and situated approximately six feet up. When I turned it on...it sounded like a freight train. Next, I attempted to turn the ancient and abused television on. No joy. The screen stated that signal was unavailable. I contacted the front desk and the lady said that she would be right up. As we waited for the promised assistance, I attempted to access the internet with my lap top...no joy. Then I tried my Kindle...no joy. Then I tried my cell phone...no joy. So, I called the front desk and asked about the internet access. Her reply was, "I have access here at the front desk, so there is nothing wrong with your internet access." I explained to her that we were talking "apples and oranges"...that just because she had access didn't mean that I had the promised access that I had paid for. She then said, in a very snarky tone, that if I wanted access I could walk to the front desk and access the internet there. I attempted to explain to her that her suggestion was not reasonable and she basically said too bad. So, I asked when she was going to fix the television. She stated that the television would be taken care of when the other staff member arrived. I asked how long that was going to be and she said it would be ten minutes - - after telling me fifteen minutes previously that she would be there to take care of it right away. As I waited for the staff member, I decided to check the wi-fi outside the room with my phone...guess what? Full strength wi-fi access as soon as I stepped outside the room. I walked back into the room with the door open and got zero access, again. Then I explored the bathroom. It was the size of a small closet. I practically had to step into the bathtub in order to close the door. The trim was dirty with rust stains and looked as if it had not been painted for a few years. The staff member showed up at the door about five minutes later. He turned out to be the owner/manager. After fiddling with the television for about five minutes or so, he managed to get us access to about six or seven channels - - mostly cspan, cnn, etc. When I complained about the wi-fi, he told me that I was wrong and pulled out his phone to show me. Guess what? His phone couldn't access the wi-fi either until he stepped outside the room. His advice? Open the curtains and stand next to the window. When I attempted to explain to him just how unreasonable I thought his suggestion was, he interrupted me and told me that if I didn't like it I could go find another hotel room - - knowing full well that I was going to have to repack and then put my son in the car and drive for another hour to find another room. By this time I was looking around for Goober and Barney Fife. I have never in my fifty-one years on this planet EVER experienced this kind of service and treatment within the continental United States of America. If you happen to be driving to this very beautiful part of the country and North Carolina...stay away from the Knights Inn. "RUN FORREST RUN." For such a friendly town, this was the unfriendliest motel/hotel that I have ever stayed in. They charge top rate for third rate service. read more
