If we could give No stars we would! Our friend booked this hotel on our road trip to and from Scranton and Lancaster PA to see the Big Boy locomotives. He said he always stayed at this Quality(less) Inn on his drives to Pa, and that it was recently renovated. It has two stories, no elevator! I walk with a cane and had to pull myself up & down a step at a time - the clerk claimed there were no vacant rooms on the first floor, but thinking back, it didn't seem that way. I'll bet it was bc our friend booked on a discount site. and wtgry gave those to awards guests or people who booked directly on their site. On our return trip, I asked if we could cancel and stay at the Hampton Inn nearby - which cost even less booking on the Hilton app! Our friend said we couldn't cancel. Once again, climbing stairs to our rooms, but at least we packed one small bag to lug up with our 71 year old selves. The first room we opened had dirty linens piled on the floor next to the stripped bed! It wasn't ready! So our friend told us to take the queen room- my husband needs a king but we agreed and he went to get a new room. Ours had a hole in the wall next to the bed on the side my husband slept on. We had to lift the refrigerator door above the lip of the shelf so we could open it. The bathroom door opened into the toilet seat. Towels were practically see-through. Renovated? Maybe in the 70's?! The breakfast offerings were horrid - we had coffee and a yogurt- would have loved a banana, but nope. The worst part of our experience was, once we were on the highway heading home to N Florida, my husband said he'd been bitten by something during the night! I wanted him to turn back to show the desk clerk but our friend was in a hurry to get back, which was another 2- hour drive for him from our house. We arrived home late and went to bed, even though J wanted him to take him to the ER. Next morning, he said we'd better go to the hospital. You'll see from the photos. I wish I'd thought to photograph that hole in the room! the story is this: At 3:00, nyachieo husband woke as if from a dream thinking something bit him in his dream. He got up, used the bathroom, then sat in the chair feeling clammy and generally crummy. You can see the photos of the bite on his arm, near the elbow on the inside. The bite was measured in the ER to be too big for a bat or rodent, 2.2cm, definitely looked like venemous snake bite - but maybe a dry bite or warning. Way to big for a bat unless it was a giant, and even pretty big for a venemous snake, probably 4-7'!!! Yikes!!! After calling their county hospital, we learned it could have been 1 of 4 venemous snakes in that area- most likely a timber snake! I alerted the hotel desk clerk Nancy and her manager. They both said they tore the room apart and found nothing and there was no way a snake got into the room! They said snakes don't climb! My husband thinks s snake was either under my pillows or under the edge of his side of the bed, because he usually hangs his arm off the bed or tucks it under my pillow. We live in Florida and I've seen snakes climb buildings and trees. It had to have been living in the hole in the wall/maybe even nesting! So after doing my research and talking to the nurses and ER doctor, including calling an ER doctor in our family, we agreed with the diagnosis of feral animal bite, because w/o the animal, my husband would have to endure rabies series of shots to be safe. The doctor and I both lived in NM where rabies is in bars, feral dogs, etc. Once you show symptoms there's no cure- you die. The first injection was going to be painful, so the ER nurse took him into her office and injected directly into both fang punctures!!! He said it was so painful that he nearly ripped the arm off the chair. He had to have 3 more injections over the next two weeks, driving to Jacksonville for each shot. I kept in contact with the hotel manager who said the owner would be calling or emailing us, but he never did. I'm pretty sure the staff we spoke to believed us, as did the health dep who said they and the sheriff would visit the scene and they notified the county where the ER is located in Jax. They kept thanking me for being so kind and even keeled. But basically there was nothing they could do - even though the owner was local? How about at least a cash refund? I'll bet he feared a law suit- we just kept asking them to try to identify the snake for the doctors!!! The manager said she felt so badly but couldn't give us points towards another stay - we've never stayed at a Quality Inn nor will we ever! Give us a Hilton property, which my husband booked for us while we were up in PA. My husband has suffered from pain anguish stomach & digestive issues, & headaches after the injections which he most likely didn't need but death from rabies-? He took the injections. read more

I'm not impressed. I've been to a lot of Quality Inns before & they're all pretty sus. The lobby definitely makes it look nice but the rooms need work. Heard the toilet go off as soon as I walked in the room & thought someone was in there; luckily no one was. Had to use both hands to get the shower turned on cause the whole head almost came off when I tried to engage it. The breakfast is an absolute disaster & insult. If you have pre wrapped food in a fridge it's not worth it. It's labeled with a date but we all know that it's old & has been rewrapped again to save money. It had been a long, long time since my wife and I, plus 3 dogs, rolled into this hotel (back when it was the Comfort Inn). I recall a very positive experience. I'm happy to report that things are at least as good, and likely better. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful lobby/atrium area. It was decorated for the holidays, making it even more charming. This is where the complimentary breakfast is served each morning I didn't have a reservation, but that was no problem. The lady at the front desk got me a AAA discount without hassle, and within a few minutes, I was headed to my room. The hotel rooms are exterior entrance, so if that's a concern, you might want to check the Hampton that's across the street. The room was simple, clean, and warm. The bedding was newer, plush, and again, nice and warm. The bathroom was standard size, clean and fully functional. The dog walking area is ample. Parking is convenient because of the exterior entry design. The queen bed room cost me $92, plus the $20 pet fee. This is a little pricey in my mind for this type of hotel, but the convenience and quality justified it. Oh, and there's a reasonably priced gas station, and Bojangles right across the street to fuel you up for the next day of travel. read more

Second time we stop here, because it's clean and homey. Great value for price. I am picky when I walk into a room and the first impression usually is a musty mildewy odor...NOT HERE. Staff is super friendly, and they have decked out the lobby to look more like a B&B than a chain hotel. My husband was all set when he found out they had cookies at check in tonight. It's not brand new, but it is well kept. It could use a little tlc, with paint and paper, but we're happier with clean and well tended than pristine new and smelly! Overall a decent experience. Would I stay here again? Maybe. The staff was super nice. Teresa, the front seat agent, was the nicest hotel agent I've encountered in years at a Choice property. She brought my son a cookie and milk and was so sweet. I don't know when they use the popcorn machine and cookies daily, we must not have been there at that time. But a nice touch. Lobby was nice, clean, and well maintained. A bit busy with the decor, but nice. Housekeeping was so kind. I didn't have them do anything inside our room, but they did swap towels, trash, etc. and the 2 ladies were so nice. The negatives: The pool- we never used it. So much chlorine. Just walking inside burnt our eyes so our son didn't want to use it. We did touch the pool. It was cold, but the hot tub felt nice. Breakfast- the cold stuff, waffles and pancakes were great. The breakfast sandwiches and eggs were on plates to microwave, which didn't seem appealing. The noise- wow. While the interstate was loud, the people were ridiculous. Friday night was fine but both Saturday and Sunday nights we were woken up around 1-2am with couples yelling, kids running and fighting outside. This hotel would benefit from soundproofing. It was SO bad. Honestly, frustrating. If we stayed again in the future, I'd ask to be on the other side. The girl working the desk suggested that side for the future as it's quieter. I wish the guy checking us in would have offered that, since we had a 6 year old. Lastly, the room was small. I'm not sure if the other rooms are that small, but this was a bit snug. We stayed here on 11/20/25. We checked in about 7 pm, the room was clean but dated. we had our very well-trained service dog with us, and the room next door had an older dog with them. When we got up at 5 am to leave, the room was left in the same shape as it was found, the door locked, room key returned to the front desk, when getting home, i checked my statement to find that i had been charged a pet cleaning fee as "someone had tracked dog mess into the room" as i said when we left, there was no signs of dog mess anywhere near or in that room, My only conclusion is that the cleaning staff must have tracked it in and then noticed it. My dog had not gone poop until we hit our 1st rest area. They sent me a picture, taken much later in the day of the outside of the door, nothing of inside. Be warned... Take pictures of your room when you leave, as they will add unfounded charges to you. The one good thing was that the lady Debbie, who checked us in was very nice read more

Staying for just a night on the road it can be challenging finding a place not to expensive (+$100 a night) but not to cheap u risk bedbugs! Lol- this Quality Inn was perfect! $79 total, nice bed, everything decorated to the hilt in fall decor in lobby-free cookies/popcorn, coffee all day and a good hot breakfast! Had many, many HBO channels to pick from; super "southern" friendly staff, literally grandmas serving the breakfast bar! Like I said perfect! read more

Passing through town and we decided to stay here for the night. I can honestly say I'm thoroughly impressed. The rooms were updated, very clean, staff was extremely friendly, and the grounds were tastefully decorated and well kept. The pool area was clean, well kept and constantly stocked with fresh towels. Aside from a couple stink bugs that had to be dispatched in the room, which a previous reviewer horribly misidentified as bed bugs....All in all it was a great value and stay. They have complimentary cookies and popcorn in the afternoon and a free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast options included bagels, toast, waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, OJ, coffee, and pastries. There was more but I honestly can't remember it all, but it definitely has something for just about everyone. Also, their sanitation rating is at 97% which is a huge plus. This place is an amazing value for what you get. We would definitely stay here again. read more

Right off, the friendly and helpful staff gets 5 stars, as does the clean and comfy lobby/breakfast room. And there are thoughtful, inviting picnic and sitting areas outside with newer chairs and tables, clean and well maintained. And five stars for being dog friendly for $15. My room was also spotless and new looking, but it did smell a little formerly smoky/ashtray-ey. Also, the former guests left their leftovers in the fridge, but they looked fresh (yes, I peeked: my dog insisted on it), so I'll give the busy cleaning staff just one star off for that. The guest info book s thoughtfully complied to include the TV channel list, several lists of local and kinda-close-by attractions and businesses, and restaurant choices. My room was $91 with the AAA 10% discount on a Tuesday summer night. (No AAA membership? They also take 10% off for paying in cash. Not bad for a clean, new room with a comfy bed, a microwave, and a small fridge. But the best part for me was ending a long day of driving by being welcomed by a wonderful night clerk who joked with me and fussed over my dog. Theresa even let me keep my cooler's ice packs in the big kitchen overnight. You know, sometimes it's the little things that make me bookmark a motel to come back. read more

We were trying to make it to my sister's home in Charlotte, but after 14+ hours on the road in rainy conditions, we decided it would be in everyone's best interest to stop for the night. First we tried the Hampton Inn, but they were fully booked. The front desk staff helpfully called the Comfort Inn to confirm they had available rooms. They did, so we drove across the street, glad to be safe and dry. The good people at the Comfort Inn were extremely friendly, and got us checked in quickly. They were also happy to uncork our wine at the front desk, since we forgot a corkscrew. (It was much needed after our grueling drive.) Unfortunately, the only king rooms left were on the highway side, but we were so tired it didn't matter. Or maybe the white noise of the passing vehicles lulled us to sleep. Either way, we slept well, and were refreshed and ready to tackle the five hour drive home to Atlanta. Positives - free WiFi, HD DirecTV, fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet. Less so - mediocre hot food at the breakfast buffet, room doors that open to the outside (I prefer more security, but this seems to be a safe location) and a tiny, cramped bathroom. Bottom line: a decent place to stop right off the highway and a good value for the price. read more

Older hotel and outside entrances to rooms . Stayed 1 nite and had no problems with the exception of the breakfast area was very crowded and actually had to wait for a table . I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 3 decades, but sadly, my recent visit will be my last. This place has become blighted and run down. In my room, during the night there were noises, like creaking noises, possibly from the fridge, or maybe the ventilator unit. The pool area had no towels, and the pool water looked sort of greenish. The breakfast buffet is nothing like it used to be, mostly pre-packaged items. Worst of all, I had some rude, inconsiderate neighbors in the next room. They started making a lot of noise at 3 AM. Then, at 3:30, the woman set herself down on the sidewalk outside my room, and started having a loud, profanity-filled argument with somebody on her cell phone. I tried calling the front desk to see if they could have a security guard do a walk-by, but there was no answer. I'm not even sure if this hotel even has security guards, as I don't remember ever seeing one. The room charge for one night was $145, which I thought was absolutely outrageous. There are better values elsewhere. read more

I have to agree with the others, after a long day on the road Comfort Inns are usually hit or miss. I've been in some nice ones and some skeezy ones. This one isn't new, but it is very well maintained. The staff is exceedingly friendly. The bed had that sheet thing where they wrap the entire bedding in sheets so you don't have to touch some nasty bedspread. The bed was very comfortable. This Comfort Inn was just awesome...the front staff was so friendly and apologetic that we couldn't get into our room early. The place was clean and decorated very homey with a nice morning breakfast and snacks in the afternoon when we got back from the Yatkin Valley Wine fest. We tried this Quality Inn while doing wine tasting in the Yadkin Valley last weekend. We go Wine Tasting once a month or two, and have a Chihuahua so our choices are limited. We always stayed nearby in Jonesville but decided to try the Quality Inn instead. I must say, this is our new Go-To Hotel! The prices were good, and so was the Breakfast Buffet! This place is much more upscale than our usual Hotel, and so was the Common Room with so many amenities. A Popcorn Machine, Board Games, Couches, a Big TV, Coffee, Teas, the Daily Buffet... it was very nice. Our Room had a soft bed with 5 pillows and very clean sheets and comforters. As I mentioned, this is our New Favorite Place to Stay with our lil' fur baby on our Wine Tasting Trips! read more

A decently priced "motel". Very friendly staff! The pool has a hot tub as well. The breakfast in the morning is awesome. They had biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh fruit, and different flavors of waffles. Also, they have a very nicely decorated lobby and breakfast area. The rooms aren't the cleanest, I felt a little sketchy in them but it wasn't terrible, especially for the price. Nice flat screen TVs and the beds are very comfy and so are the pillows! We all know Comfort Inn is not a 5 stars hotel. So I give 5 stars for this clean place and room, and friendly receptionist. The breakfast area was very well taken care. My only negative, is the door to our room was very hard to open, even if somebody had tried to brake in, they would had have a rough time to get in. It gave us a bad opinion before we even got in our room. Good price. A bet noisy if you take a front room, but they offered us a room away from the noise of #77 for few more dollars, it is wort to take it. Nice and quiet. read more

Quality Inn Jonesville, older property most have been motel back in day, 2 story outside entry to rooms, rooms are somewhat dated but bed was comfortable and room was clean. I was a bit bothered by the strong scent of room deodorizer. Breakfast was better than average eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh waffles. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you are a light sleeper backside of hotel is not for you highway noise all night, after an hour I didn't even notice it. It was worth the $ 50 a night I saved over a few other hotels in area. Was there 4 nights and satisfied overall and will stay there again. They do have indoor pool as well. I didn't swim but pool area appears to be well maintained. read more

I honestly can not sleep right now because I'm so choked up. Maybe it use to be smoking but them got changed over. But all the people were really nice who worked here. They even had late night snacks in the lobby including fresh popcorn. If in this area again, I will look elsewhere. read more

I thought the place was really nice the beds were comfortable, they had cable TV including HBO. I'm a smoker and they had plenty of receptacle outside and even a smoking area in the back of the hotel separate from a picnic area. I had a non-smoking room on the highway side I did not notice any noise! The morning breakfast was pretty good they had quite a selection cereals hard boiled eggs milk coffee, fresh waffles that you made yourself, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy, and sausage. All complementary with the room. They also have a heated pool and jacuzzi that is indoors. The cleaning lady came every morning and did a good job cleaning the room and restocking everything. I also got parking right in front of my room every single day. There are also quite a few restaurants nearby exit 83 had a Walmart and a Mexican food restaurant that was delicious. So overall my experience was very good and I only saw two stink bugs altogether flushed down the toilet. There was no problem at all with any kind of bugs or anything else like that. All the staff were very friendly. There is even RV and truck parking. read more

To my surprise the room was clean, well-furnished and beautifully maintained. This November is our 9th time staying here at Jonesville Comfort Inn. We stop here as we head north and south. I was here a number of years ago when they were installing the new carpet. Stayed here on a Friday night and the place was packed and I believe I received the last room... I had a single king bed that was exceptionally comfortable. Even though the place was packed there wasn't a lot of noise, and the room was quiet. (I was leary when I checked in, since half of the rooms face the interstate and I figured it would be loud, but the room I had was on the other side of the building.) The bathroom was good sized and well cleaned and the TV had DirecTv so there were plenty of channels to choose from including all the HBO and Cinemax channels... As for the pool and whirlpool, both were well maintained and clean, though the pool is small and really more designed for children. In the morning I had their free buffet breakfast which was the usual (powdered eggs, sausage, and then pastries and cereals) the pastries tasted fresh as did the fruit. read more

Stayed here for one night for an overnight stop while traveling. Front desk people, check in and check out were terrific. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet (opposite side from the highway). Entry to the room was from outside, which I liked. Much easier for me to get my stuff inside. Physical problems. Went to the free breakfast in the morning. What a great place for the price! I needed a room for the night that accepted pets and was greeted warmly by the front desk person. She could not have been nicer! The room with 2 beds was really an outstanding value. Clean, new and the right size! The shower and tv were good....The TV could use a little help though....Anyway, good space to walk the dog and some free snacks like coffee, fruit, popcorn and other stuff. The breakfast was as good as a $300 a night hotel in New Orleans.... Stop in this place on your next journey. They are about 1 hour north of Charlotte on I-77.
