Staying for just a night on the road it can be challenging finding a place not to expensive (+$100 a night) but not to cheap u risk bedbugs! Lol- this Quality Inn was perfect! $79 total, nice bed, everything decorated to the hilt in fall decor in lobby-free cookies/popcorn, coffee all day and a good hot breakfast! Had many, many HBO channels to pick from; super "southern" friendly staff, literally grandmas serving the breakfast bar! Like I said perfect!

Sitting/dining area in the lobby.

Passing through town and we decided to stay here for the night. I can honestly say I'm thoroughly impressed. The rooms were updated, very clean, staff was extremely friendly, and the grounds were tastefully decorated and well kept. The pool area was clean, well kept and constantly stocked with fresh towels. Aside from a couple stink bugs that had to be dispatched in the room, which a previous reviewer horribly misidentified as bed bugs....All in all it was a great value and stay. They have complimentary cookies and popcorn in the afternoon and a free breakfast in the morning. The breakfast options included bagels, toast, waffles, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, milk, OJ, coffee, and pastries. There was more but I honestly can't remember it all, but it definitely has something for just about everyone. Also, their sanitation rating is at 97% which is a huge plus. This place is an amazing value for what you get. We would definitely stay here again.

Right off, the friendly and helpful staff gets 5 stars, as does the clean and comfy lobby/breakfast room. And there are thoughtful, inviting picnic and sitting areas outside with newer chairs and tables, clean and well maintained. And five stars for being dog friendly for $15. My room was also spotless and new looking, but it did smell a little formerly smoky/ashtray-ey. Also, the former guests left their leftovers in the fridge, but they looked fresh (yes, I peeked: my dog insisted on it), so I'll give the busy cleaning staff just one star off for that. The guest info book s thoughtfully complied to include the TV channel list, several lists of local and kinda-close-by attractions and businesses, and restaurant choices. My room was $91 with the AAA 10% discount on a Tuesday summer night. (No AAA membership? They also take 10% off for paying in cash. Not bad for a clean, new room with a comfy bed, a microwave, and a small fridge. But the best part for me was ending a long day of driving by being welcomed by a wonderful night clerk who joked with me and fussed over my dog. Theresa even let me keep my cooler's ice packs in the big kitchen overnight. You know, sometimes it's the little things that make me bookmark a motel to come back.

One of the best comfort inns I've ever stayed at. Friendly staff, very nice ambiance and decent amenities. I try to stay here often.

Comfort Inn is a franchise but this owner did not only meet minimum standards but went far above.

I booked my reservation online. I'm a Best Western Member. When traveling locally from state to…read morestate I always stay at a Best Western or Best Western Plus Hotel. I've never really had any issues before until this trip. I always book a King Bed no smoking room. Checkin is 3pm , I called ahead to say we'd be checking in around 7p. We hit tons of traffic bc of the holidays. When we arrived my reservation was available and a nice man named Irving checked us in. The room he gave us originally seemed ok until I noticed the bed itself didn't look right. First off, when I entered it looked like someone slept in the bed. Then I noticed both corners at the top of the mattress was up and looked slept in. The fitted sheet didn't fit the bed properly. What I think happened was house keeping tried to put a Queen size fitted sheet on a King size mattress which was very surprising. I also noticed there was a bed spread on the bed, but no blanket underneath. At the bottom was a runner that went across the bottom of the bed. It really didn't have a purpose. I wasn't comfortable staying in the original room assigned. I went back to the front desk and asked Irving to change my room and he immediately did to a different floor and a different king size nonsmoking room. The second room looked cleaner and better. My only issues were the toilet ran every time I flushed it, especially if the shower was running. In the shower directly on the center wall,it looked like it had black looking mold on the grout. ( I forgot to take a picture.I did mention this to the front desk.)and the phone in room to call down to the front desk didn't work at all. The bed itself was comfortable, and the room looked ok. We stayed one night. The hotel had pretty holiday decorations. The lobby and surrounding area was neat and clean. In the morning I went to the Breakfast area. It was very clean, neat and organized. There was flat screened TV's and tables for eating. They offered many different breakfast options like eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, cereal , yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee, biscuits and gravy and toast. a coffee and tea bar. I think if they can get housing keeping under control, it would be a much better place to stay. They do have a pool, but it was closed so no pictures. There is handicapped accommodations and handicapped parking out front. There is no change for parking. Right next door is a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Not far from the hotel in Elkin is a Chick-Fil-A Restaurant and other restaurants.

Nasty! If that is gross enough for you all!!!!!! ‍ I'm…read moresorry but that's why I'm giving it a half star

This place is just awful. I have several other Yelps to write, plus a book or three to finish and…read moreother work, but I'm going to prioritize this one because this place sucks hard. Here goes. The management advertises free wi-fi internet on their roadside billboard, but when I got into the first room, it didn't work. The twin kids at the front desk forgot to give me the wi-fi password. After I returned to the office and got it from them, the network didn't even work, so I couldn't even enter it. At first, the network didn't show up, but eventually it was detectable by my laptop with one bar. I tried to log into it, but it was labeled "Poor" and wasn't strong enough for me to connect. When I returned to the office, one of the kids assured me he was an engineer and I should logon outside my room (in the freezing cold at 11pm at night) and then go inside the room and it would work. I told him it didn't work that way and the signal needed to be present inside the room or it wouldn't work. He raised his finger and sternly chastised me. He also said it was working fine because someone one room down from me hadn't complained (which, of course, is illogical). So, I complained and I also told him my room smelled horribly of smoke and I wanted to change rooms. Eventually, he decided to let me and he gave me the key to another room (which said No Smoking on the door and may have been the only non-smoking room; it was the only one I noticed). In the next room, I got three bars (and it went back and forth between two and three). However, the room is awful. I opened the refrigerator and there was mold in it. This prevented me from using it, so I had to keep the food items I wanted to stay cold in my car and right by the door crack. I couldn't fully close the curtains, so I used some rope I brought to tie one side shut, but there was still a slit down the middle, so I used a safety pin I brought to keep it closed. I tried to hang a towel over it, but it wouldn't reach the bottom. I didn't like sitting on the bed knowing people could see me if they wanted. There was also a mirror on the wall where the curtain wouldn't close on the right, so people could potentially see directly in the room and see more of the room through the mirror. At least the TV worked and I got to watch Saturday Night Live! However, it and all of the other channels were a little fuzzy. The heater had black electrical tape all over it. It's a white wall heater, so it looks pretty bad and I wondered if the heat from the heater could heat the tape and tape glue to a point where it would send fumes into the air. It does seem to work, though. The refrigerator has a three prong plug and the third prong had been ripped out. Eek. Unsafe. The door knob literally fell off in my hand and I wondered if I might have to get out through the window. There were actually two door knobs. One did nothing. The one that opened the door fell off. It's ok, though. I put it back on and I was able to open the door and exit. Whew. I'd hate to have to exit through the window or call the kids at the front desk for help. When I picked up the phone to call them, I heard nothing and it didn't dial, but they somehow knew I called and called me back. I was only calling them to say the wi-fi network worked. There were no hangars in the closet and the bar was rusty. The chain that hung the ceiling lamp was rusty, too. The shower rod was also rusty. On the shower ceiling, there were yellowish spots and when I took a shower, they puddled and I hoped they weren't going to drop on me. Yuck. There were also cracked paint areas on the bathroom ceiling. The bed was convex (opposed to concave). It felt like people had slept on the other side for a long time and it was flipped. This made it feel like I was sleeping on a hill. I'm about 5' 9" and 130 pounds, but I still felt like I was going to roll off. The sink faucet dripped all night. The microwave had no glass plate in it. It only had the round, plastic spinner with wheels. Therefore, if I had used it, I would have had to take that part out and things wouldn't spin around. However, there was rust in the microwave and a suspicious looking, rusty crack in the back, so I didn't use it. This place is a disgusting armpit. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In fact, it should probably be condemned or reported to the city of Jonesville, North Carolina for inspection. When I woke up and checked out at 11am, I spoke to the manager Mark. He said he bought the place in 1999. I listed all of the things I found objectionable and he shrugged them off. I asked him why he hadn't improved the place since he bought it and he had no words. I politely asked Mark for a refund because I had paid $45 and it seemed like a horrible deal for such a filthy, disgusting room and he yelled at me! I yelled at him back and said, "Don't yell at me!" He said he was calling the Police, so I decided to calmly walk out and leave. I glared at him and drove off.
