What you get is a really tempting menu with bagels that are substantial meals, especially when paired with the topped fries (this will take you over £10 though, so if you're short of cash pop in on Mon/Tues for their awesome 50% deal). I had the - bestseller - grill melt and it seems like they are totally fine with you asking for something to be left out, so I skipped the pickle. The salt beef is just fantastic and the whole thing (involving cheese, jalapenos, rocket and house sauce and mustard) came together absolutely beautifully - decadent with a great kick. All the fries were nice but I think my fave was the eat new york fries - with blue cheese sauce. The angel fries, with truffle, are also really nice but not an obvious combo with the more classic meaty American fare - perhaps good with some of the fish/seafood dishes. I'm really looking forward to coming back, perhaps to try more on the menu but tbh I just want a repeat of what I ate last time. Btw the desserts are massive and decadent - I had a deep fried blueberry pie which I denied having the capacity to eat then completely demolished. The sundaes looked great too. The amount of meat that fell out while I was eating it could have filled a whole other bagel. It was really delicious, though I've already set my sights on the Little Italy bagel for my next trip. I must have breaded mozzarella and gorgonzola mayo. The bagel ganoush also looks excellent with both tempura aubergine and baba ganoush. I reckon this place isn't super vegan friendly simply because of the amount of meat on offer, but if you're vegan and end up here anyway, it's great that there's a (really delicious sounding) option! Between 5 of us we shared all four kinds of fries and some frickles (deep fried pickles). One million more frickles please. All the fries were good, and I'd probably agree with Natalie W that the Eat New York fries were top banana. I wanted deep fried apple pie but as they were out of apple, I had to have deep fried cherry pie instead. What an awful shame. I mean really. This was an absolute brick of decadent food and I could already feel the faintly queasy regretful feeling of over indulgence setting in while eating it... But I couldn't stop. From what we learned, Moose is a small chain around the UK, and known for its hearty North American-inspired menu. No problem at all though, as we were instead able to sit in their outside area which lined a cute cobblestone alley, adjacent to some shops. I've said it before, and I'll say it again for the typical American traveler... in England, do NOT expect service to be what you're used to. You'll certainly wait to be tended too, and the visits from a server are very limited. In no way do I mean this as a complaint, it's actually kind of nice to not feel rushed and practice patience :) All in all, the staff who did take care of us were very sweet! My husband had an americano and I enjoyed my flat white (I swear I've loved every coffee I've ever had during England trips). For food I got the lula puebla, which was a fancy avo toast. The smashed avocado was fresh and well-seasoned, and the toasted sourdough it was smeared across was so thick and delicious. Even more delicious was the chipotle chilli jam that came atop of it. It also had feta, chilli flakes, and two poached eggs. I was definitely a fan! My husband also really liked his eggs benedict that included griddled Serrano ham. I'd seen on Twitter that they were going to be stationed in MediaCityUK for a short while, so a workmate and I went down to check them out. Their signature dish, a salt beef bagel with pickle slaw, rocket and French's mustard seemed pricey at first at £6, but it was so tasty and filling it was well worth it. Also on offer (depending on the event) are cheeseburgers, bagel burgers, fries, shakes and soft drinks. You pay by the hour and get to play on as many games as you want. Its £2 per hour per person, with a maximum of £5 per person. Limited to a max of 4 hours. We only stayed for an hour and played a couple different games. There was lots of different board games - some never played before, many classics and some not played for ages. But we decided to play ones we had never played before. Would be silly with all the choice just to play games we already knew (and paying for it!!). We played a game called Codenames (Picture version) which was pretty good - basically have to get teammate to cover different cards using words - actually just a single word. And ideally getting them to cover more than one card. The 2nd game we played was called Wits and Wagers. What attracted us to this game was it said it was the "Most Award winning game in History" - and about 20 different emblems on the side of box to show awards it had one. It was a simple game with combination of guessing (sometimes educated guesses) and gambling element. You get a question e.g. average number of miles travelled a year by person in America. Each person writes down their guess. Then all the guesses are revealed and each player gets to bet on which answer is the closest. So even if your own guess is wrong, you could still win. The game is clearly American based with a few questions specific to America. But it was still fine and although I was a bit rubbish at it, its good fun. You could actually create the game yourself really with a poker set for the betting tokens and would be easy to find the sort of questions. Actually some people on board game forums seem to have created a load of questions for this game - including some more UK based ones. Apart from the board games, they also serve drinks (soft drinks, tea, coffee, some alcoholic drinks) and food like bagels, toasties, soup and nachos. We only had a drink - as we were heading to restaurant afterwards. I just had an apple juice which was just £1.

I came here the first weekend it opened and oh my - it was lush! They have over 300 games to play and the owners Vanessa and Jason are so friendly. They actually help you pick out a game to play and teach it to you!! I learned how to play Go Sushi, Karuba, Bananagrams, Concept, and I even got to play my old favorite Scattergories. The coffee is a special blend made specifically for the cafe and the desserts are absolutely amazing - made by the amazing chef Rachel. There are also bagels and other non-cakey food to eat, all sourced from local places. The cafe is super clean, brightly lit, and fun! It has wacky orange and blue as it's mascot colors and it is buzzing with excitement. If you want a place to hang out and play board games with friends, or just grab a coffee and cake, this is the place to go. I guarantee you will make new friends the minute you sit down.
