For me the best breakfast in Liverpool. Lovely toasts, lovely coffee and a lovely staff. You can have a soup of the day and a lunch, too. For sure: cakes! You will enjoy the design inside! It's really lovely! Don't read the lovely lines - go there! :) paying by card is possible.

The Food was amazing vaule for money, My friend and I order Afternoon tea and was not disappointed it only cost £12.50 and cane with cocktails and came which fruit bored and dipping chocolate as well as the basic afternoon tea menu. The Brink is a non-alcoholic establishment this does not stop them from delivering fresh and flavoursome cocktails which I must recommend too all who visit. The wide selection of cakes and sandwiches available made is really enjoyable and never done to the pallet the presentation of all the Platters was superb and seem to follow a set theme the overall experience of the afternoon tea was really enjoy your love and great value for money. The entrance to Crust is accessed through a large step and they have no ramps, but the staff assisted with my enterance and they seemed really friendly, wanting to get me in. The menu choice in terms of pizzas was a little poor, to have a range of more basic pizzas such as pepperoni or even a garlic pizza bread. The selection of other foods was decent, however labelling the whole menu could have been better for allergies with gluten-free markings rather than just the pizzas. I was impressed with the fact they do fresh flavoured lemonades with different fruit and flavourings, and although the bottom was a little bland, I did enjoy my mango and passionfruit lemonade which was obviously made fresh, with real fruits at £3.50. For my pizza I ordered a Margarita, the staff cut this up for me and the base was good quality, once again fresh and seasoned well. It would have been nice with more toppings, a better range, however. I did struggle to get a staff members attention during the meal, although all staff (including the manager) seemed nice and very friendly, after being given mayo and tomato sachets I just had to use my own, which is one of the reasons I always bring ketchup and mayo when I go out. The chips were a little bland, but the oil at the bottom made them slightly better, they were once again flaws. Crust is a nice restaurant in Liverpool with competitive pricing and a good gluten-free pizza bases, the main issues being getting into the restaurant, the menu and getting a staff member's attention during my meal but due to good quality, freshness of the food and friendly staff, I would feel a four-star rating is appropriate. UPDATE: Due to an awful recent in-store experience in store, where I was given a pizza containing gluten at first, despite requesting a gluten free one, after already a long wait, after I noticed this and alerted my server, my confidence here went downhill and sadly that was shown in the quality of my second pizza, the base was poor and doughy, the ham was chewy and the whole pizza from base to toppings was sadly a poor, awful mess. With a lack of promotions which larger chains has, this just makes this a place with high-end places for abysmal food, sadly warranting a one-star rating as good (yet overpriced) lemonade can't make up for the "speciality" of this place with the pizzas being so bad, even my friend who isn't gluten free was upset with his chicken pizza.

This is another superb one, and not simply superb because we haven't much choice. It's superb in its own right. Have I said superb enough now? I'll move on. One of the city centre's best kept secrets, the ambience, the music, the shabby chic and mismatched decor will make you feel like you've been whisked away to some exotic island. And that's supreme value when you're coming in from a rainy or windy Bold Street. It's easily as good as some of the authentic Caribbean restaurants I've sampled down in London, and its tucked away nature makes it all the more special. You wouldn't know it existed from the outside, but wander into the basement and be swept into exotica. Lovely. It's actually rather popular with some of the Everton and Liverpool footballers who've come to play from sunnier climes. And it's a Bring Your Own Booze establishment, where the staff will not only get you glasses for your booze, they'll chill it for you. It's cheap enough to be popular with students but gorgeous enough to be a win with the foodies, so you'll get an eclectic mix of customers in here. There are many traditional dishes on offer, served with yams, plantains, rice, all the authentic usuals. The food is truly excellent and the service is top notch too, speedy with just the right amount of friendliness and smiles all round. Some of the staff look so happy, they even walk around and bop to the music. And pots of tea are only 90p! Brilliant. It opens at 9 in the morning for breakfast and everything's really rather yummilicious. Definitely worth a visit!

One Saturday afternoon me and some friends crawled into the city centre in search of a hangover cure and one of my friends suggested Quynny's Quisine. As I ventured down the steep stairs I wondered where the heck I was being taken and what on earth the breakfast here would be like. We sat down in the colourfully decorated restaurant and shortly afterwards a lovely friendly lady came over, presented us with menus and took our orders for drinks. There were several different breakfasts available, some more Caribbean themed than others, all of which sounded delicious. I chose one and placed my order when the lady came back with our drinks. It is difficult to find words to describe the breakfasts served here, Every item on my plate was prepared expertly and was so delicious I couldn't help but groan with pleasure. The portions are generously huge and the staff are on hand to check everything is OK and get more drinks as required. The atmosphere, food and service at Quynny's Quisine is awesome. This is a definite favourite of mine now and I have been back many times.

Our server was kind of moody and did not engage with us in conversation... I get that people have bad days, but your job is service... you can't not do your job. Second, they cook your food to order, which is a nice concept, but in reality doesn't work because then you have people waiting for over an HOUR for their food. Also, people who arrived after us were served before us... what's with that? Third, after waiting for over an hour (we were starving at this point), we finally get our food and... there's not much. For the price and time waiting for the food, it was extremely disappointing. I definitely was not full after one dish and we ended up going to the grocery store across the street to grab a snack. The service was bad, the food wasn't exceptional in any way - it wasn't filling or tasty, I definitely recommend NOT going here. P.S. I double check that this was the right restaurant by looking across multiple platforms (google, their website, etc.)

The sweet soul vibes extends to the staff - who couldn't be friendlier and more accommodating if they tried. I knocked a glass of fresh orange juice over on my last visit and they simply laughed, mopped it up and replaced it - for free. To top it off, the food and drink at Soul Cafe is cheap and cheerful and includes everything from great all day breakfasts to burgers, sandwiches, salads and fish and chips. Of course, I'd prefer the menu to include southern fried chicken, collard greens and cornbread - but this is Liverpool not Memphis!

At the 'other end' of the street, it felt like a long walk to get there (especially with a growing hunger after a few drinks the night before) but as soon as we found it we knew we'd made the right choice. The location almost feels like a cul-de-sac, with a dog grooming salon next door and plenty of prams being pushed past. This meant it was a more relaxed vibe than elsewhere, and we easily got a table for two in the sunny window. There is a mezzanine level also, but no table service, which is worth considering if you or someone in your party struggles with stairs. The menu is on a blackboard, with changing specials, and plenty of proper coffee and tea on offer. Orders are taken at the small bar and processed in the same spot, meaning service isn't the quickest, but we were in no rush and everything was done with a smile. I went simple with a cheese and ham croissant, served warm, and a cup of tea. Josh's sandwich was much more substantial and it's fair to say I had food envy; mixed beans, peppers and aubergine on fresh wholemeal bread. Needless to say, with this delicious food and sunny window spot, we didn't really want to move! In no rush, we also shared a chocolate chip shortbread as we finished our drinks. A lovely start to our Saturday.
