The ambience is quite pleasant, high tin ceilings, reminiscent of the old drugstores of years gone by. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. We both started out with cappuccinos. Even though the writeup on the cappuccinos boasted a couple of espresso shots, it still come throughout a bit on the weak side for me. I ordered a Belgian waffle with pecans and my wife ordered a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The waffle was light and fluffy as expected with a good flavor, but but I guess I prefer a regular waffle with not as much air. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, but I opted for some hot sauce when I ate my half. In the past, we've had some of the baked goods here and they've been good. I think there's a lot of attention to detail by the owners, a commitment to good service and above average food at a fair price. We will be back.

Really fresh independent bakery that has some incredibly friendly staff…read more Azumi, Maisy, and Elise made suggestions based on our tastes and had us in and out just as quickly as we would like. They are very respectful of your time If you need to grab something and go. While my wife and I tried desserts, we are looking forward to trying their bread made in house, that is nourishing instead of filled with ingredients that should not be. They offer a military/veteran rate and their hours are very accommodating

No offense to the national chains like Starbucks or Dunkin', but I had been looking for a locally owned shop to buy some bagels in the morning, and I think that I finally hit the mark! I got my typical order of one (1) sesame-seed bagel, and one (1) everything bagel, and they were absolutely excellent! I can't really describe how, but as soon as I bit into them, I could immediately tell that they were freshly and authentically made, and were such a nice contrast to the bagels that I've purchased from the aforementioned chain stores. Furthermore, the staff was so nice and kind, and they seemed genuinely personable and happy that I stopped in. Even though I only got my two (2) bagels, they also had a mouth-watering selection of croissants, muffins, pastries, sweets, etc. on full display in the front. Finally, they had a nice outdoor seating area, which was perfect for a beautiful spring day. All in all, South & Salt was amazing, I'll definitely be back in the future, and I'd recommend it to anybody looking for bagels, coffee, or other bakery items!

Our waitress Emily was so sweet, attentive and friendly. She made sure to break the menu down for me so I won't be surprised with any extra charges and I was very appreciative of that. The eggs were cooked so soft...my country style potatoes were seasoned great and delicious, my pancake was cooked to perfection and still Fluffy. My son enjoyed his breakfast as well. He had the pancake with strawberries, w/ bacon on the side. His bacon was cooked just how he liked it...not to mention the peach mimosa hit the spot. Thank you for such a great meal and chill ambiance vibe!

Our server was very pleasant and friendly, seemed to enjoy her job, and immediately asked us what we wanted to drink. We both went for coffee, of course. Both my wife and I thought the coffee was too weak for our taste. I ordered eggs Benedict with home fries. Now to be honest, Eggs up Grill is a diner with a catchy name, but I would say they did a great job on my Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was well constructed, smooth and had a nice lemony tang. My fries were okay, but could have been a bit warmer. My wife ordered French toast with turkey sausage. She was non plussed. She remarked that while the first bite of her sausage patty was good, the second bite was watery. Her French toast was just so so. Eggs up Grill offers decent food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff, but the regular coffee needs an upgrade and as well as the French toast. I would definitely go again for the Eggs Benedict but I may have to go alone.
