    Cheddar cheese biscuit sandwich

PROS: - Usually breakfast options were available with a decent variety on the menu. CONS: - Overall taste was bland. - Bagels were dry. - Hot chocolate was primarily made of sugar rather than cocoa. - Service was slow and mildly attentive. FAVORITES: - None. TIPS: - Do not listen to the Google Reviews where it says the bagels are made-to-order. They are clearly pre-made in the case (see photo). OVERALL: - Just a bakery café with mid, unmemorable food. - Ambience was very boisterous, as there were many families with small children.

Delicious food and friendly service! Their french toast is very good, and the raspberry coffee cake they had when we went last was delicious. The inside is small but doesn't feel cramped even when it's packed. A really nice breakfast/brunch spot.

Hot peppermint latte and buttered croissant

A wide selection of fresh pastry's and wonderful coffee and amazing breakfast atmosphere also very sweet staff!!

The biscuits and gravy where great, my sister had the grits for the first time and she thought they were great! I had a bite, they were packed with flavor. We had a chocolate croissant which was good as well. This is definitely a solid breakfast spot. They have great coffee choices, and a menu that has plenty of choices without being overwhelming. Love the decor and the service was friendly.

    Carrot cake

This was a great way to start off my birthday. The carrot cake was amazing, coffee was good, and strawberry cheesecake was good. Service was great and the atmosphere was lively, friendly, and all employees did good.

    Honey Bee Latte by Colby

While they went through some growing pains initially, this has blossomed into my fave Lexington breakfast spot. Yes they have great specialty coffee drinks, but they also have a decent cup of drip coffee, something most breakfast places miss the mark on (blows my mind). The service is attentive and sweet. I always particularly enjoy chatting with Colby at the bar. My top fave foods here: -the cinnamon buns -yummy thick cut bacon -the corned beef hash is so filling and flavorful (I like mine with a runny egg on top) -the made from scratch bagels Also, if public restrooms stress you out, they have private, gender neutral bathrooms. Get a coffee to go and walk around the nearby shops or head out back to the beautifully renovated Virginia Hylton Park. Enjoy!

Kayleigh was an excellent server, she made the best Carmel coffee and we loved the Carmel turtle cheese cake. She loves her job and the personality.

Best Breakfast Ever! Stellar food, friendly efficient service, and cozy ambiance! Worth the trip! Our breakfast was so good that we took several pastries to go!

My husband and I decided to try this place for breakfast because everyone in town kept saying the bagels were really good. Apparently, the owner has figured out something with the water, and they taste like legit New York bagels. I got a jalapeño cheddar turkey bagel with egg, and he got a cheese bagel with bacon and egg; they were delicious. The only thing that was a little weird is that when I ordered chai tea with almond milk, they told me I would have to be refunded because the specialty drink person wouldn't arrive until one hour after opening time. I've never heard of this before, but if that's the rule, I was perfectly fine with it. It turned out that the person who makes the drinks arrived early and made my drink perfectly. My husband ordered a vanilla iced coffee that wasn't considered specialty, so it was made right away. Overall, we would definitely come back.

We had high expectations, we eat at the restaurant and have never been disappointed, by the food or service. Our daughter recommended the cafe for brunch, as our nephew was down for my husband's birthday. We got to the cafe at 10:45, the told us it would be a 45 min wait, we said no problem, she then told us they were closing early and kitchen would be closing at 12:30, again we said no problem and put our name down. I asked if the bar was first come first serve or also on the wait, she said it was first come first serve. Cool! About 10-15 minutes later 4 chairs opened up at the bar and we headed over, we were a party of 3. As we approached a man slid into a seat and as I was grabbing the back of the chair to sit he said it was for his friend, I said is your friend here? At first he said he was, then a minute later said he was in the parking lot, and then he said he was about 10 minutes out. I said I'm sorry but I was told these were FCFS, he said his friend was on the way, I tried to explain that I didn't think he could save a seat, as we were here and the seats were open, one little girl behind bar said he can just save it a few more minutes and another said no it's FCFS and he couldn't. After not wanting to sit next the clearly irritating man, we walked back up front. We were sat about 15 minutes later. Just after his friend showed up. I would say make sure your staff knows what ever rules or standards you are expecting as a restaurant so customers don't have to figure it out on their own. Once seated it's 11:45ish once we got our drinks, I had decided in the Monte Cristo then was told I could not have it due to it not being 12pm. They were out of gravy and a couple other items I can't remember, so we made secondary choices. My husband had the avocado toast and waffle, I had 2 eggs potatoes and sausage with a waffle ( my plate had clearly been sitting prior to coming out my eggs were cold and had already gotten a skin over yolk) and my nephew had the wicked. I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't impressed, the best thing was the waffle. Coffee was our beverages and we kept having to ask for sugar and creamer, as she would only bring 4 packs at a time for 3ppl. Also the hostess seemed irritated the entire time after she would tell people the wait time and that they were closing early, and people still wanted to stay, I would say work on her face showing her emotions, and a few servers were mouthing foul words as they would told that the restaurant was out of this or that. They were clearly not a happy bunch Sunday morning. Menu selection is nice, coffee was hot, service was lacking but we some other tables with very good servers taking care of them. I would say we would give it another try but not anything soon.

I love coming here! It's my favorite place for coffee and bagels while I work. The service is usually good. All the natural light that comes through the windows here is amazing and makes the whole vibe feel nice and relaxing.

We actually found this place by accident while looking for another restaurant, but anyplace with baked goods can't be too bad. We went during lunch, so it wasn't really crowded or loud. The selection of pastries was nice and the staff was very helpful in helping us find where we were going. We bought a cinnamon roll, which seemed a little pricey, but it was big enough to satisfy my daughters and I. There's also a main restaurant a couple doors down. I'll make a note to go there sometime.

Our server was very pleasant and friendly, seemed to enjoy her job, and immediately asked us what we wanted to drink. We both went for coffee, of course. Both my wife and I thought the coffee was too weak for our taste. I ordered eggs Benedict with home fries. Now to be honest, Eggs up Grill is a diner with a catchy name, but I would say they did a great job on my Benedict. The Hollandaise sauce was well constructed, smooth and had a nice lemony tang. My fries were okay, but could have been a bit warmer. My wife ordered French toast with turkey sausage. She was non plussed. She remarked that while the first bite of her sausage patty was good, the second bite was watery. Her French toast was just so so. Eggs up Grill offers decent food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff, but the regular coffee needs an upgrade and as well as the French toast. I would definitely go again for the Eggs Benedict but I may have to go alone.

They proceeded to tell us it would be another 30 minutes. Also the seats that had "reserved" on them were still empty! When the British Bulldog calls itself a "pub", I feel like it's one of the very few places that takes that moniker to heart. Even though it's located in somewhat of a strip-mall setting, once you walk inside the building, you're amazed by the authenticity of the inside. Personally, I loved the brick and wood that made up the interior, which gave the restaurant the realistic "pub" vibe that I mentioned earlier. Furthermore, I loved the framed, and hanging, soccer flags, which was a marked contrast to the professional and college sports paraphernalia at your typical American sports bar. I walked in kind of late, and just sat at the bar, which still made for a great experience. Even though it's an English restaurant, they still had a lot of the popular local and domestic beers, to go along with the more English-themed beverages. I asked if they had any "sours", and the bartender was kind enough to offer me a sample of the two (2) sours that they had on tap, and let me choose the one I liked the most. The aforementioned bartender was great, and I overheard him offering some folks from out-of-town with recommendations for nearby late-night spots and high-quality local joints. Finally, my simple order of chicken tenders and fries was pretty good, and I thoroughly enjoyed their steak-cut "chips," or French Fries. All-in-all, I waited too long to try out the British Bulldog, which was a great pub experience that definitely lived up to my high expectations. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and in turn, would recommend it to anybody else!
