Go ahead and grab a few napkins after you sit down, you're gonna need them. That runny egg? That perfectly sticky cinnamon roll? Devine. We had a short wait to order but all servers and staff were super friendly. The menu is HUGE. So maybe study it early. Every one of our sandwiches had a PERFECT runny egg, as requested. And the chimichurri sauce on my steak sandwich was so fresh and perfect with the grilled onions and perfectly cooked thin steak. And that tag along "mini" cinnamon roll??? It's regular size. Order it's super duper daddy to go because you won't be hungry after those breakfast meals. read more

I had to try this place after saw you get cinnamon roll as a side cause I love my sweets. On Devine St little ways up the hill from 5 Points Columbia SC. This restaurant is very close to 5 points and roads can be closed off for city events as it was for me Saturday morning, check traffic before leaving. The exterior building can be missed if you don't have exact address. It is a small building at back of a driveway. There is a To Go & Order counter, I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches don't recall the names (on receipt). The pic doesn't do it justice was loaded with generous portion and a cinnamon roll for $7.89 per. This side idea is so original this business is bound to soar, gotta check it out when in town. read more

Always amazing. Never had anything I didn't like from here! The wait can be very long is the only downside but that tells you how good they are! read more

On a recent trip to Columbia, I ordered breakfast delivery from The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli (you can order delivery right from the Yelp app--huzzah!). I got their byo breakfast sandwich. For mine, I requested scrambled egg, on a bagel with cheddar and roasted garlic spread. Goodness! What a delight! My sandwich came well packaged for heat retention (and was plenty warm upon delivery). The best part? All of their orders come with a cinnamon roll. What? Listen. Imagine, you're traveling for work and have ordered yourself a breakfast to eat while working. And, you receive it and perched atop your sandwich order, is a warm and ooey gooey cinnamon roll. Are you kidding me? I literally clapped my hands in giddy delight. Thanks Devine. You made my day. Get to it! read more

I was only in town for one night so I scoped out where to eat before skipping town. We got a late checkout and headed to The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli. I was aware of the hype/lines and was hoping that going a little later would help us avoid that. It turned out I was right because there was still a line but it moved pretty quick and we easily grabbed a table to settle in for brunch. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we kinda did. We may have gone a little overboard, but we took stuff home and were happy to have it later. Here's what we got... Strawberry Cheesecake cinnamon roll - the sweet to our savory! This thing really was divine as well as massive. It was great having a couple bites of something else and then indulging in the gooey cinnamon roll. While I'd love to try the other flavors it would be tough to skip out on this one. Green Eggs & Ham breakfast sandwich - If Dr. Seuss was talking about pesto on the eggs then I think Sam I Am would have chowed down because this sandwich was excellent. Lowcountry Shrimp & Grits - looks like a small portion but it's packed in there and just as good as some of the best shrimp and grit plates I've had in Charleston. Tomato Basil soup - very good flavor and extra hearty and thick. It could be a meal on its own. Sides - we didn't realize that all the things came with mini cinnamon rolls so we had a bunch of those and the pita chips to take home too. Being that it was our first time, we definitely over indulged, but it was well worth it. Since our visit, I've probably sent 5 people there singing their praises and I can't wait to go back myself. read more

Who does cinnamon rolls right? Hands down, there is no equal--The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli! The dough in the rolls are rich and baked to perfection. So many gooey and delicious toppings; we always go with the bourbon caramel. Satisfied customers and friendly service are icing on the roll. But wait! You crave savory? An extensive menu of breakfast sandwiches and grits bowls! I get the feeling that the deli folks would try to accommodate any special request. The deli is In a humble building with a rustic ambiance and a limited parking lot, but trust me, I could eat breakfast here every week all year; it's that good! Bravo deli! read more

The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli is an institution and for good reason. The food is solid. The staff are great. The place is super chill and welcoming. I had the Farmhouse Breakfast sandwich and it was solid. The eggs and the breakfast sausage were a tad under seasoned and the bagel lacked a little something that I just couldn't figure out. The sandwich definitely hit the spot after my morning run and as you can tell by the cheese pull, it was great! Also, I got a mini cinnamon roll with my order. Not sure if that's the norm or not but it was GREAT! Parking is a situation so be mindful that you might have to walk a bit but it's worth it! read more

Another great trip to cinnamon roll deli. My family was in town visiting my sister in Columbia and we stopped by for breakfast. This has been a must have breakfast stop (even with the lines) every time we visit. We tried the seasonal pumpkin caramel cinnamon roll and it was so moist and flavorful. Also ordered the Big Max sandwich on everything bagel and that was incredible as well. Their sandwiches all come with a cinnamon roll on the side, so you can enjoy sweet along with your savory sandwich. read more

The Cinnamon Roll Deli was pretty good! I'm glad that I got there early, because by the time I left, there was a line around the corner! I guess that's a pretty solid testament to how good the restaurant is. My cinnamon rolls were excellent - they were soft, gooey, warm, and delicious! My coffee and everything bagel were alright, but left a little bit to be desired. Also, the staff was extremely nice and friendly, and I loved the overall vibe of the restaurant. It seems like the perfect place to grab a warm and sweet breakfast while supporting a local business! read more

PIMENTO CHEESE GRITS! So freaking good! Really enjoyed the maple bacon cinnamon roll and the chili was a surprise that I didn't expect from a cinnamon roll spot! Great service at the door. Parking is a bit iffy and the exit was a nail biter, but the food was perfection. read more

Cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. For starters, the parking lot is super small. Just keep that in mind. Anyway, I never have to wait in line for too long. There is a MASSIVE menu. I normally stick to the Low Country Grits bowl and one of their gourmet rolls. The grits are always super flavorful. The cinnamon rolls on the other hand, are superb. I've had the banana foster, apple cobbler, and bacon maple rolls. Thus far, the maple bacon roll has been my consistent go to. read more

Was looking for a place for a quick lunch on Saturday and came across the great reviews for Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli. We decided to give it a try and turns out this was an excellent choice! Walked in around 1:40pm (they stop serving at 2) and there was no line. The sandwich menu is extensive, each sandwich with a bit of an interesting twist. We decided on the Gamecock and the Cuban. Both were excellent AND they come with a small cinnamon roll on the side as well as absolutely addicting store-made pita chips. We didn't realize the sandwiches came with these sides and this put the experience into the "when can we make it here again?!!" Cinnamon rolls were excellent as well and service was very friendly and fast. Based upon reviews, I know that CRD is super busy in the morning and here we were at the end of their day and you would have never known it. The team there is excellent. Highly recommend. read more

The Devine Cinnamon Roll Deli was super busy on a Sunday morning! They appeared to have many regulars and the staff knew several of the patrons by name. The interior had lots of mismatched art on the walls and some seating. They also had an outdoor seating area in the front, covered by a tent. I ordered the The Buffalo Turkey Sandwich and a Banana Foster Cinnamon Roll to-go, and service was impressively quick. I didn't realize that my sandwich already came with a mini Cinnamon Roll, so I ended up with two. The Buffalo Turkey Sandwich was decent, but incredibly messy to eat. I chose my eggs "over easy" and they were super runny, especially combined with the buffalo sauce. The sourdough didn't really taste like sourdough either, but it was hard to tell since it quickly became soggy. I did enjoy the generous amount of turkey though, and the sandwich was quite filling! Both Cinnamon Rolls were very tasty. The Banana Foster Roll was especially decadent and I didn't come close to finishing it. Overall though, a cute spot - would return to try more items! read more

This was my favorite place we ate in Colombia. It is a cool place and feels very local. The staff was so nice and helped with seating to keep the line moving. They gave my son a few extra cinnamon rolls, which was so sweet of them. I had the Italian beef with the housemade chips. The sandwich was huge and delicious. The pita chips were tasty, and it was fun to have a different type of side. Every meal comes with a mini cinnamon roll which was not mini. So lunch was a good value. read more

We've been here 3 or 4 times now. My husband lives the grits, protein & scrambled egg bowls, I tried it once and thought it was just okay, but I grew up in shrimp & grits and southern breakfast food, so I think it's just not my thing. The cinnamon rolls were decent; don't tell- but I prefer Cinnabon because the icing isn't as sweet- and they're warm & gooey. This last time I had the breakfast sandwich: the sourdough bread was cheap with no flavor or chew, and the pesto basil spread was in a mayonnaise base. Pesto doesn't have mayo in it folks. I'll pass. read more

Food and service is excellent. The only problem is the lack of parking. The food is yummy!

Devine is the name of the street, but the intended implication is clear. When I arrived there was indeed a significant line despite it not being the greatest weather. I was offered the chance to skip the line and get takeout, which I took and which was reasonably quick. While there were a variety of options, this was not a place that offered a ton of vegetarian-friendly or healthy breakfast food. That's not why you come. So I just got a cinnamon roll with bourbon caramel sauce. The flavor was as indulgent as one might hope, and it was quite large so I ate part of it immediately while the caramel was still hot and part of it at the national park to the south. I don't always eat cinnamon rolls for breakfast, but I couldn't imagine them delivering a whole lot more on the premise. read more

Treated my boyfriend to birthday breakfast at CRD and this was his first visit. The line was out the door, as always, but they were moving people in as quickly as possible. Once inside, they had a nice system for assigning you table if you were dining in. We had the shrimp and grits, cheesesteak grits bowl, and apple cobbler roll. Both meals came with a "mini" cinnamon roll that is actually the size of a standard roll haha. I asked for a side of the bananas foster topping for my mini roll and paid $.95. I'm not a huge cinnamon roll fan, but that bananas foster topping was delicious! read more

Absolutely delicious spot!! The banana foster is outstanding, but can't go wrong with a classic cinnamon roll. Pay attention to their grits of the day as it changes! I placed an online pick up order on the drive over to The Devine Cinnamon Roll. I needed several Classics (cinnamon rolls) for brekke and was bringing them onto the base at Fort Jackson for my sons first brekke with us since he'd been there. This proved to be a very solid choice, as they they warm when we picked up and held up for the two hours in the car that I needed them to :) We all enjoyed them very much. I make out of this world homemade cinnamon rolls and frosting but being out of town and needing a to-go option The Devine Cinnamon Roll was a great choice. My order was ready in a very reasonable time and pick up was a breeze. Highly recommend! We all went Classic, but some of the other flavors sound delish too. Thanks so much Devine Cinnamon Roll for providing a yummy treat for our brekke on base, very much appreciated. read more

Super busy place for a Sunday morning. Take out was the way to go! Clean dining area. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Dog friendly place. Wide coffee selection, iced also an option. Staff were cool. Food: I got the Big Pig on sourdough with eggs over medium. SO MUCH sandwich! I'm a big guy and can eat, this was enough for two girls... easily. Plus, the bonus cinnamon roll with each order was keen! Daughter got the strawberry cheesecake cinnamon roll, not only was this thing HUGE it was tasty. Roll wasn't tough and over beaten, and ample frosting and topping for the special treat. Great value for quality and quantity of food. Would 100% recommend for the whole family. I'm coming back when I visit my boy at USC!! Spurs up. read more

This was my first time here and it was a good experience. The parking is kind of wild, but once you find a spot it's all good. I tried the shrimp and grits and a strawberry cheesecake cinnamon roll. The Devine Cinnamon roll was truly -DEVINE!!! From the moment we arrived I was made to feel welcome. The host greeted us and presented us with multiple options for seating. The cashier was helpful with recommendations and patient of this first time customer. The choices were fabulous and it was difficult to select what to order. We chose the bourbon glazed cinnamon roll, the pimento blt and the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The cinnamon roll came out first and it did not disappoint. Big enough for the 3 of us to split and devour. The sandwiches came out as soon as we finished the roll and were delicious. I'd say the food was incredible but the best part was the personal service. The owner, Miss Jodi, came over to check on us. When she found out we were from Maryland, her home state, she brought us out her old bay pimento grits on the house for us to try and they were a fabulous reminder of home. She was kind, warm and engaging- even offered to be a resource for our son who is here for college and a long way from home. It is not possible to me to recommend this place any higher and I can't wait to return!! 10/10!!!!. read more

I don't get many days off throughout the week, but every single one I do get, I have lunch here!! Love it!!

The long dine-in line on a Saturday was SUPER well managed by the hostess. Between distributing menus and managing carryout orders, she was even so kind as to offer complimentary mini cinnamon rolls to the toddlers who waited patiently (and I think she passed out bacon bits to one lady with a dog). The service continued to be good after we stepped inside. We were sat at a spotless table, and it wasn't too long of a wait before orders hit the table. I couldn't decide between a cinnamon roll, a grits bowl, or a breakfast sandwich, so I did a combo - breakfast sammy with Carolina BBQ (the highlight!), which comes with a mini cinnamon roll, plus a side of the daily special grits. The pimento cheese grits had a good kick, and I scraped the bowl clean. Can't say enough about the sandwich, so just GET IT. As for the restaurant's namesake, I think the minis don't do'em justice. Next time, I'd like to split a regularly sized cinnamon roll to get a proper idea of what Devine can do. All in all, wonderful dining out experience. Told my friend that I want to return the next time I visit Columbia. Thanks again to the patient staff members who hustled to get everyone seated and served (even the rude customers!!) in a timely, polite manner. I see you. read more
