Wife and I visited a couple weeks back for an incredible breakfast at a very reasonable price. We tried a few different menu items and were extremely pleased with them all, especially the homemade corned beef hash. This place is a very good, affordable, small restaurant. When you walk in, you have to go sign in by the main doors on a book or you can sit first come first serve at the bar. Food was good, I got breakfast foods (offered all day) and my boyfriend got lunch. My only critique would be to put a sign that says you should sign in, as a regular told us where to sign in otherwise we wouldn't have known. Very homey. read more

My friend and I came here to nurse our hangovers the day after the 2022 Midterm Elections. The night didn't go our way, and it was a long night with lots of booze. We needed an epic breakfast to make us feel better, and Just Us Café delivered. Just Us Cafe is a family-owned diner and local hangout that seems to have a crowd of regulars, but we felt welcome. The servers use Ipads to enter your order at the booth or table, which is very efficient and gets your drinks and food out quickly. We both had veggie omelets, and I customized mine to add cheese as well as an order of hash browns with onions on the side. The omelet was full of cheese and vegetables, and the hash browns were hot and crispy like home fries. My dining partner also had a side of catfish. As a pescatarian, I love that they have options that don't include sausage or bacon. Prices here are VERY reasonable, and our server kept us taken care of with drink refills and condiments. You also get a small discount if you pay with cash. I would return and recommend Just Us Café for breakfast. read more

Seated immediately, warm greeting, had traditional omelets and egg breakfast, good coffee. Very much a locals place, low prices and in and out within an hour and only 10-15 minutes off Interstate. Definitely would return when traveling through this area. read more

We decided to try this place for breakfast based on all of the good reviews. We walked into quit the local hangout where everyone seemed to know everyone and seemed to notice we were new to the establishment. That's usually fine for me, I love finding local hangouts and trying to fit in, that's part of the joy I find in working all over the place. But I also love good food. The food here reminded me of every small town America breakfast spot I've eaten at ( and there have been many) Fried overeasy eggs with crispy edges (hate) runny grits (flavored only by my packets of butter and the dirty salt shaker on the table) dry toast and bacon. (Can't mess up bacon) I know it sounds harsh and it's not meant to be. Just descriptive. I'm sure the regular patrons look forward to going everyday and if you need a quick breakfast that's better than fast food you should go. But if you're looking for food that makes you crave coming back, there are better choices in Columbia. read more

This is some good southern food. We stopped in for breakfast and had the best biscuits and gravy in South Carolina. There was a wait, but you sign your name and # in your party and they'll call you fairly quickly. I had the eggs, sausage links, and grits and hubby got the home fries which were tasty. Visiting SC and was referred by hotel staff to Just Us. As you walk through the door you are greeted by Ms. Brenda. She makes you feel like you are coming home even if it's your first time there. She was kind and made sure I was comfortable, which is nice as a solo diner. Megan is just as sweet and gave 5 star service. The food was hot and delicious. I even ordered my supper before I left. A small town eatery that won't disappoint. The inside is what you would find in a country diner, old worn interior needing updating. Table and bar seating is available. You will sometimes find the local mailman, policeman at the bar. All this just sets the mood. While not everyone knows your name, it is very hospitable. During my visit, the server was friendly and offered recommendations. I ordered the pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were very thick and filling, and the bacon was 4-5 large pieces which was very satisfying. I also was able to taste the home fries with onions. Wow! You have to order the home fries. It was recommended by the server and I am glad I tried it. The service was super attentive. I counted 13 employees working. That's impressive nowadays. This location is only open on certain days of the week and only during breakfast/lunch. Breakfast is served all day and highly recommended. I will be going back. So good! read more

This is another local restaurant that has been in the area for a while. They stay packed and for good reason. The food is delicious and cheap. You also get a huge plateful in my experience. My favorite is breakfast but you better get there early. Otherwise the line may be out the door. I'm impressed how fast they move food orders through though. No one ever seems to wait very long. read more

The food here was pretty good, but barely any wait staff were wearing masks, and the ones that did were wearing them improperly! The building was completely packed, and there was no social distancing of tables and everything. The atmosphere was overly... political? I guess that's the best word choice for that. Besides all of that, my fried flounder was pretty good and the prices were low. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, and I wouldn't go here unless my family offered to go. read more

This old-school diner with it's rustic interior is a delight! We have gone there twice in our travels to South Carolina - Columbia airport...the first due to it's great reviews and the second time due to our first experience there. My fav food is their egg/bacon/cheese on biscuit. I wasn't that hungry and thought I could make it with just one, but had to order a second as they were just that good! Decent prices, delicious meals served quick, and friendly staff. A bonus that they respect our US Veterans! read more

Absolutely the best breakfast place in Columbia in regards to price, service, and taste. The place is packed and they get you in and out in the most efficient way. The biscuits. Oh my Lord. Little clouds of Heaven. The special on Sundays is the pot roast and is well worth the wait. Chicken tenders are great, Mac and cheese is fresh made in house-none of that Kraft nonsense. Also the breakfast items are guaranteed to be some of the best you've ever had. Friendly service and you could probably feed a family of 4 for around $20-25, maybe less. They support blue lives matter and have heard from multiple friends on Facebook who have visited the establishment that the owners are racist and like to walk around with shirts on that have nasty stuff written on it. You're entitled to your own political opinions, but when you shove your political opinions in everyone's faces, people feel unwelcome. I came here to eat, not to have a bunch of political beliefs shoved down my throat. The owner also replies to the bad reviews in a really sarcastic and passive aggressive tone which is just completely unprofessional. You don't argue with customers either. Overall the business practice is just off putting and honestly rather uncomfortable and I definitely will not be returning. read more

I believe the posts have been taken down now but the owner is a racist bigot and I've heard similar complaints about their employees. Skip this place. Edit: I've been speaking with an employee here, Maybe the owner? This is how this place defends having a swastika inside their establishment... "are we in nazi Germany? Or even that time period? Does a symbol really make you that upset? Especially when, only a guess, it more than likely mean nothing to you, however, you attach a physical emotion, hate, to said symbol and use that against us." They're actually defending the swastika inside their restaurant and they're saying that people have no reason to be upset over a symbol that represents the murder of 6 million Jews. read more

Let me just start by saying I NEVER EVER leave reviews. I actually have some great memories at this establishment where my friends and I would come for breakfast/brunch during my college years. We had great bonding time. Unfortunately, my friend found out that the staff is made up of ignorant, rude Trump supporters. Mind you, I usually don't let politics get in the way of business or enjoying a meal, however, the blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism that this establishment showed has led me to decide to never frequent it again. In my honest opinion, IHOP is just as good and they sure don't alienate customers based on political views. read more

Even though I do not agree with their opinions about Trump. I will however keep eating there. Their opinions don't effect my hunger and their food is still amazingly good. I've never been mistreated for being Spanish nor has my kids or bf for being black. They've treated us very well we've never had a complaint. Plus great prices for a bunch of food! And there biscuits are better then Popeyes! As long as their views don't effect how I'm treated n my food is good n hot, i will forever be a customer ! read more

We had a relaxed breakfast at Just Us Cafe and went with a mix of sweet and savory dishes. I ordered the country fried steak with eggs and grits, while my friend chose the French toast with bacon. The steak had a crisp coating and plenty of gravy, and the grits were creamy with a mild buttery flavor. The French toast was soft in the middle with lightly browned edges. The portions were generous, and the friendly, neighborhood atmosphere made it feel like the kind of place locals return to regularly. read more

It's been a while since I've eaten here. But I love going here to eat. The prices are great and the lunch is really good. Plus you definitely get plenty of food for the money. The only thing I hate is if you go at a particular time you aren't getting in the restaurant. There have been many times I've had to leave cause there was a long wait. I guess in those instances you can order to go. But personally I like to eat lunch at the restaurant. Other than that Good food, great service. read more

The food is pretty good but the staff are always unfriendly and act annoyed to be serving you. Additionally, there is a swastika on one table, a Confederate flag sticker on the door, and the owners are proud Trump supporters and like to take political stances on things. I prefer not to do business with folks with racist ideologies. On the bright side, at least they make their beliefs very clear so you can make an educated decision. read more

This place sucks. They are racist and neonazis. They spit in my food I'm convinced. Don't eat there. Save your money. Not sure how this place isn't shut down yet. No masks or social distancing and most of the crowd are old heads so they are probably more prone anyways. This place in an embarrassment and disgrace. They don't support LGBTQ+, black people, Muslims, or any minority at that. Terrible. 0 stars if I could. read more

I don't know why, but they've gone out of their way to discourage any liberals from eating there. I just don't feel welcome anymore. It started with the place becoming very polarized, as far as politics, t-shirts, signage, etc, then they started attacking others on Facebook. It's not that they support Trump, it's that they also really hate liberals. read more

The food here is awesome, but lately it has become very political. I don't think these guys are racist, but there seems to be a feeling that if you're not a hardcore Trump supporter, then you're not welcome. I highly recommend the breakfast, and the cheeseburger is pretty good. I may give it another chance after things cool down. read more

I don't support Bigots or those who support Bigots....... I used to be a regular there with my co-workers for lunch in west columbia..... I think myself and my associates will find another restaurant with owners who have more inclusive views. read more

This is my favorite breakfast place. It is a bustling little place and feels like a good ol' fashioned diner atmosphere. The ribeye steak is amazing and would definitely recommend!! Can be busy on weekends so be prepared to wait a few mins. read more

I will say there was barely any wait at prime time on Sunday because barely anyone knows it's there.
