Very good! The biscuits are huge, and the fried chicken breast with aioli and a pickle was so tasty. My husband and daughter loved the spicy bacon and the prosciutto biscuits. We all enjoyed peach Bellinis to drink. There is bar and table seating. Ordering is done just inside the door so the line may be out the door at peak times, but don't let it deter you. Service was fast and friendly!
3.5 - clean environment, not a whole lot of parking but doable since there is other nearby parking, seemed like a place with a lot of regulars on the weekends. The pork belly biscuit surprised me the most with its juicy flavor - this is a must-try at Rambo's. The fried chicken biscuit was as expected, nothing crazy. But what wasn't expected was how much dough the biscuits had! There was more than enough for the sandwich - I ended up eating my sandwich open-faced because the top part of the biscuit was a bit too stiff for me. But I can see how some may take the other half of the biscuit and make another meal from it with a side! The service was quick and pointed - no extra shop talk here. The one thing that was a bit disappointing with service was that we had gone in at 11am, which was two hours after they had opened, and they were just starting to brew coffee. They had told us they didn't have any earlier in the morning, which was strange since coffee is a morning staple for most places that serve breakfast!
So nice we got it twice! Rambo's offers a great fast casual dining experience in a mildly retro diner environment. The food is outstanding and service equally so. On trip #1, I ordered the pork belly biscuit (pictured) with side of blue corn grits. The pepper jelly really completed this biscuit and gave it that tangy flavor. The pork belly was good. It does, however, resemble more of a pork chop in consistency. It does not fall off the bone per se but is more chewy. Either way, it is delicious. The blue corn grits with pimento were also great! On stop #2, I ordered the chicken biscuit. Order this biscuit. The chicken is fried to perfection with various herbs and spices. Topped with a dijonaise, the biscuit is scrumptious with every bite. It was my favorite of the two I tried. They also have very good sweet tea made in house and cold brew as well!
Looking forward to having breakfast at this little spot, as I'm not a chain restaurant fan, give me cafés & mom and pop diners all day long. The oics looked amazing online but it didn't measure up to the hype. I wanted the biscuits & gravy but was a bit hesitant (don't play with my gravy!) So they let me try a teaspoon: flat, white sauce that lacked seasoning & texture & the bacon qas congealed. Soooo I ordered the fig & brie biscuit, Joel ordered the cheddar & bacon biscuit & we shared the scrambled eggs & cheesy hashbrowns: Well the hashbrowns were obviously frozen (mushy & could taste the preservatives in it), Joel said his biscuit was pretty decent. Mine: the biscuit was nice and light, but there wasn't enough brie or jam so it fell a little flat & dry. But give them a try if you'd like, everyone taste buds are different, right?!

Another soccer weekend, another quest for a local breakfast place. My husband and I always have about an hour before we have to get back to the fields so we always try to find a local place to solicit, which is how we found Rambo's. We both ordered biscuits to go and had no problems with picking up our order. The space was bright and cheery and I would have enjoyed staying for our meal. The biscuits were huge! I got the one with pork belly and it was stuffed full of pork and jam. Delicious! This will definitely be on our circuit next time we're in town.
My family and I did an online order for pick up from here because we were outside the delivery zone. We decided to get a couple of different biscuits and split them so we could try multiple (lol!). We ordered the chicken biscuit, brisket biscuits, sausage, egg and pimento cheese biscuit, bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, and the fried green tomato and pimento cheese biscuit. We also ordered the cheesy hash brown bake. The restaurant is at a good location with a good amount of parking. It was easier to access by coming in from the backside off Main St. from Confederate Ave. The restaurant is a good size and was fairly busy. I went in and had to wait a few moments, but everyone was really nice. They pulled my food put of the warmer and I went on my way. The chicken biscuit is the way to go. It's fried and seasoned to perfection! The pickle and aioli were a perfect touch to take it to top notch. That is the biscuit I enjoyed most. The brisket biscuit was good too with the boursin style cheese that really brought it out. The sausage and pimento cheese was another one of my favorites. It was soo good! The spices came together perfectly. The biscuits are big and enough to split. The hash brown bake was so delicious as well. I wanted more than my portion (haha!) I passed on the pimento cheese and fried green tomatoes biscuit, but my sister is a fan of fried green tomatoes and was excited. As she was preparing to take a bite of her biscuit she noticed and pulled out a long brunette blondish type of hair strand. I saw the disappointment in her face, so since I placed the order I decided to call. I spoke with a gentleman who put me on hold to speak with the manager. He was very nice and polite. Now I included all of this because of this next part and to highlight their amazing customer service! Speaking with the manager and explaining the situation, she offered to complete a refund or remake the biscuit. Again, my sister was visiting and super excited so we requested a remake. I explained to the manager that I picked up the order, and if possible, would have loved for the remake to be delivered. After placing me on hold and speaking with her staff the manager delivered the order herself which was so amazing. In addition, she added a few extras like an additional hash brown bake and the biscuit pudding. She apologized several times as well. It felt so amazing to receive quality customer service.

I've never had a biscuit that big or square one at that. I didn't get a chance to sit inside the restaurant, but I definitely will be back next time and try the beverages. They have a nice list of mimosa with very unique flavors which I appreciated and they also have different coffee, flavors for the seasons for spring and summer.
The food was okay! Nothing spectacular. The portions are nice if you're into quantity over quality. The scallion aioli was better than the chicken biscuit itself, I personally could've had that with some fries and it would have been a more memorable meal. Otherwise, the service was superb, but I likely won't revisit. Still, glad i gave it a try.
Y'all, the Rambo Fat Cat biscuit is no joke! I had the chicken, egg, and cheese with bacon--huge and packed full of flavor. Totally worth every penny. Can't wait to go back and get another one! Service was well & the space was pretty nice not too big but comfortable. read more
Mmm... biscuits! I really like coming here from time to time, because it's close to work. They do a great job of combining various flavors that still work well in a biscuit. Fried chicken is delicious as well as sausage and cheese. The staff is very friendly and patient. After ordering, the food came to the table without too much of a wait. At first it seemed a little pricey but each sandwich is a full on meal, if not two. read more

The food was okay! Nothing spectacular. The portions are nice if you're into quantity over quality. Came here on a Saturday morning. The area to order is almost immediately as you walk in the door so that does make the space really crowded and cramped. The young kid behind the counter taking our order was very pleasant and gave us recommendations. We got the BLT biscuit with pimento grits & the Bacon Egg & Cheese biscuit with the hash brown casserole. Food came out very quick and was hot. Flavor was there and biscuits were good. My biggest complaint is that the biscuit doesn't hold up. After one bite it's falling apart and it makes the food hard to eat. The grits could have had more pimento than the little dollop that was there. All in all very good, was quick and the people working were very pleasant read more

Visiting Columbia for a long weekend and we discovered this little gem right around the corner. Biscuits were fluffy and super tasty, I went with the chipotle pimento and sausage (with an added egg) and my girlfriend did the spicy BLT with the heirloom tomatoe, both excellent choices. The woman behind the counter was super friendly and happy to share the menu, local favorites, and specials. She had our drinks ready before we got to the end of the counter and our food came out promptly and fresh. Highly recommend. read more

The young lady with the beanie who assisted me was very sweet and explained the menu as it was my first time here. I ordered the chicken biscuit with aioli sauce which was VERY delicious and made to order. I wasn't sure if it was going to be enough to fill me up as I didn't know how large it was but when it arrived, I knew I was going to for sure be good. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade and it was amazing and I almost got a second one to go. The custom service from the young lady set the tone from the start and I would definitely go back. read more
This was my second time having Rambo's, the first time was at soda city. I was hoping this visit would sway me in a different way. I am not a fan of the biscuit. The texture was a little dry and it also was not hot. It was barely warm. I think if I'd had gotten a biscuit fresh out of the oven it may have been better. I also got a side of the cheesy Hashbrowns. They hot and fresh. The customer service was great and the inside was very clean. I would go back to try the pumpkin cinnamon rolls that I saw on the menu but I don't think I'll give the biscuit another chance. read more

Still love this place! My husband tried the spicy bacon egg and cheese sandwich, which comes with spicy bacon and ghost pepper cheese. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the spiciest, he gave it a 6. He has a high tolerance for spicy foods. Try at your own risk! I had the Brie and fig jam biscuit because I didn't want any meat that morning. The flavors were delicious! I wanted a little bit more Brie on that thickum biscuit, but I enjoyed the flavors. Our two year old son came and had a plain biscuit with jelly. Our picky toddler enjoyed every bit of it. read more

If you are in the Columbia area and looking for a tasty biscuit, look no further than Rambo's. The biscuits here were so tasty and the staff was super nice as well. I went with the Fried Chicken Biscuit with Scallion Aioli & Pickles and a side of Market Mac and Cheese. The biscuit was really good and the combination of the Aioli And sweet pickles just bright the whole thing together. The mac and cheese was lacking in creaminess, but it was still a great side. Will be visiting again if we come back to Columbia! read more

My wife saw this place and wanted to try it. it is very nice on the inside very clean. There is only counter service so there's no table service at all matter fact you have to clean your own table. my wife tipped them18% before she realized there was no Service. the biscuit I got was a brisket biscuit and gravy. I was good. Also very pricey. My wife got the egg an bacon biscuit. It was also really good. It to was very pricey. The staff were friendly. read more

We had HIGH hopes for good biscuits and were both disappointed. They seemed like day-old over-cooked biscuits because they were slightly dry and the edges were tough to bite in sandwich form. We love a good biscuit, so we were just underwhelmed, honestly. My husband got a pork belly biscuit and the pork belly was not cooked well-chewy and not soft. The chicken biscuit was pretty good! The fried chicken was beautifully breaded and nicely cooked. I did try my sister's BLT biscuit and her biscuit seemed fresher, so maybe it was a miss for ours. But her blue grits were mostly milky, not very dense grits. But my husband was disappointed enough in everything that I don't think we will come back. The biscuits with jam definitely need to be served with butter. I hate to be a tough critique, but a biscuit place needs to have home-run biscuits. It was a beautiful restaurant with lovely outdoor seating, though. read more
I got on Yelp to find brunch and Rambo's Fat Cat Biscuits popped up! We arrived and ordered so much food!!! We ordered a chicken biscuit, a fried green tomato biscuit, a goat cheese and egg biscuit, grits, and hash browns. Everything was great and very flavorful. I asked for. Light biscuit and they made it happen. The establishment was clean and the ladies at the front were personable and helpful. We'll definitely be back. Oh and they have mimosas!!!! read more

After an early Saturday morning appointment, I was craving a breakfast biscuit something fierce! Before I could even finish typing the word "biscuit" into Yelp, Rambos popped up and was 2 miles away. I did have a bit of a hard time finding it due to the GPS routing me a few units down the road, but eventually found it. It's tucked back in the cut and is a little hard to see from the main road. Stuck between the Fried Green Tomato and the Fried Chicken biscuits, I ordered both. Sadly, the FGT didn't have a chance to be pictured because it was devoured before I could think to take a pic. The biscuits were so buttery and flaky and soft! The FGT biscuit was tasty, but the Fried Chicken stole the show. My gawd, the chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, but was so moist and juicy I actually burned myself taking a bite due to it running down my chin fresh out the frier. With this gem of a place being so close to my office downtown, I'm sure I'll be here weekly. read more

Got breakfast takeout here this past weekend. Delicious. The restaurant is really nice inside, too, with lots of natural night and some outdoor seating. Friendly staff. We especially liked the cheesy hash brown side. Recommend! read more
We've seen Rambo's Fat Cats at Soda City for so long now, and we would always pass it up for something else thinking "yeah we can get to that anytime".... now that they have a brick and mortar we figured it was time to finally check it out. Needless to say, we definitely played ourselves waiting so long to go. Their location on North Main is very well designed, staff is great and most importantly the food is banging. Kelsay and I both got the fried chicken biscuit that comes with scallion aioli. The chicken is seasoned beautifully, and that scallion aioli is almost good enough to drink. Also, the chicken they serve is huge, isn't not a play play biscuit. We also shared a side of the cheesy hash brown bake, and that was plenty. It's a good size portion and very tasty. Will be back soon! read more
