Fried green tomatoes over goat cheeses grits, $10

Bright and clean interior with clean bathrooms. The music playing was delightful low. Staff from the host station to the servers were friendly. Service was slow and yes it was hoppin' but I think some of it was my inexperienced waiter. The food was GOOD!!! Crispy, thick sliced, fried green tomatoes over goat cheese grits, red pepper coulis (YUM) and fresh basil, $10. The biscuits & gravy had 3 big crumbly biscuits and good gravy. Not nearly enough gravy for the biscuits. 2 small eggs cooked exactly as requested, $14. I noticed seasonal dishes on the website but didn't see them advertised anywhere else after I sat down. Lots of chicken options. The dessert options looked good, but I was stuffed. Parking for this restaurant and the surrounding area was pay to park via an app, no meters. That's the only reason I would likely not go back - just a personal preference.

We arrived for brunch and everything was really good. We were asked if we had reservations, luckily we didn't need them for the lunch, rush, but I would recommend reservations. We loved our server Matyas he was patient and kind and very helpful. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast and grits, which was the cream cheesiest grits I've had in a very long time. I requested sage plant based sausage, eggs scrambled hard, The grits didn't include goat cheese. I also had a biscuit. My one issue with the biscuit was I wasn't given anything to put on the biscuit. I wish I had been given some jam or jelly or butter, it was still really good though. I ordered an ice dirty chai, which had a little bit of a spicy kick to it and I loved it. I also enjoyed a margarita and water. My friend ordered fried pickles. They were pretty good. They are best eaten hot.

Wow! I can't believe I've let this review fall by the wayside. So, I've been here a few times, from the time they first opened to a few times afterwards. I love the aesthetics. It's a pretty open space, and you can pretty much find a seat and make reservations online if need be. The staff seems to be pretty pleasant and kind throughout my visits. I came to share about my most recent experience, which was a lunchtime visit. We were seated right away. I ordered the chicken and gravy with a side of grits with shredded cheese and brussel sprouts. The chicken was delicious, and actually I got the gravy on the side, but it was pretty good as well. It had some flavor. The grits were really good. In addition to the shredded cheese, the grits come with goat cheese. It was a great creamy cheesy addition. The brussel sprouts are literally amazing. They are perfectly cooked and flavorful as well. The entire meal was on point.

Really enjoyed my food Tupelo honey. The dusted fried chicken had great flavor, the goat cheese grits were delicious, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I loved their take on cheese grits. The goat cheese added a creaminess and flavor that was unique. The chicken was nice and crispy too. Definitely look forward to coming back here. Staff was friendly and it's in a trendy upcoming area that I'm sure will be buzzing more once the weather warms up. I would love to try another dish!

Our server, Savannah, was very nice and knowledgeable. She did a good job. The my were not very busy when we visited it's a cool spot. Decent size. Cool vibes. I got the half bird bone in chicken with fried okra and green beans. My daughter got chicken and waffles. We had fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. The grits and sauce with the tomatoes was good. Best part of the meal. My chicken... no wait I'll go from bottom to top. Green beans had bacon in them with no hint of bacon flavor. I wouldn't recommend. The fried okra was ok. Not real flavorful but crunchy which I liked. My chicken was mid. Very mid. I wasn't pleased. I got a sweet spiced sauce with the meal and that good on the chicken but without it, it's a no for me. My daughter said her chicken and waffles was just ok. Over all we probably wouldn't come back here. It was horrible but the food wasn't very tasty.

Took advantage of the free 2 hour parking in the parking garage nearby. Tupelo has such a cute vibe, very cozy and warm inside. The host was welcoming and polite. Our server was phenomenal & very knowledgeable on menu items. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it literally blew me away it was so good! My partner got the sweet & spicy chicken & waffles. He finished his entire plate in all of about five minutes we will definitely be back!

This food is not good not gonna lie.

Over uses pepper on chicken and waffles. Strawberry lemonade and normal lemonade taste like apple sauce. This shit ass. Service was good though

The place is gorgeous and the servers are nice. We sat out on the patio with our dogs. They offered to bring out water bowls for both, which was really nice. Shrimp and grits, tasty, not bland, perfect basically. Okra, fresh, crunchy, delicious Biscuits for a cause, yummy, soft, blueberry jam a bit watery, butter wasn't soft Sweet potato pancakes, delicious, candied walnuts, bacon high quality, very tasty

Super cute place. The staff told me everyone in the entire area staff and customers have to pay for parking so that was a hassle but I did find a spot. The menu is great. I had the cheese and soup and a healthy shot. It was all wonderful. My server was super kind and attentive. Reasonably priced for the surrounding location for diner. I would eat here again. They need to figure out a better parking solution but the restaurant itself is really cute and the menu is interesting.

Overall, 10/10 experience! The restaurant is set up nicely & provided a good amount of seating. Our server, Matias (sorry if spelt wrong) was amazing & super helpful with anything we needed. The food came out nice and hot. Everything was flavorful and delicious. Looking forward to trying more options.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!
