Our daughter attended a babysitting class today at Overlake Hospital. We decided to swing by the cafeteria twice. Once for coffee when we arrived and then another time after she was done with her class to grab some food. Starbucks coffee was good. She got a gardenburger for dinner. $7! What!? She also added onion rings for about $3 more. It was really good. They have several vegetarian items as well as non-veggie items. Prepackaged hummus and veggies, tabbouleh, beverages from the snacks, etc. Nice cafeteria.

I love this restaurant. Not just because I come here often for lunch, they have lots of varities to choose from. The staffs are very friendly and they really remembers you if you are one of the regulars. I love their salad (newly improved) and their burgers. They also have good tacos sometimes and very nice indian lamb curry. For a hospital cafeteria, I think they did a pretty good job. Every Fridays they also have clam chowder which could be as good as the one from Pike Place market. The Tomato Bisque is also one of my favorite. AMAZING ~!

Always love their self served salad bar. Always a good and healthy alternative when I want to go green. Salad bowl comes in 2 sizes, small-$4.95 and large-$6.95. It is an all you can pack style. I've seen people stuff them so much that the lid could not stay on, but the cashier ladies didn't seem to mind. I know with Whole Foods' self serve down the block, Atrium's cannot compare, but WF is by weight, so sometimes I can easily spend $15 for a box of lunch salad. For $6.95, this is much more economical but also fills my tummy well! Their dining room is not fancy but clean and has plenty of tables.

This review is based in comparison to other cafeteria style food establishments. I work really close to here and within walking distance on this side of the freeway, I almost always go here as default. Why? I can get away with having a decent lunch for under 6 or 7 dollars. They have great meat loaf. Love it. Very juicy with your choice of starch or veggies. You pay extra for extra sides of course. Their specials of the day are usually consistent and a better choice. They have good grill items, made to order. I like the cool ordering system, all automated. Burgers are sometime dry. Fries are thicker cut and very crispy. But they are you typical Cisco items. Their pizza is good, you just have to know when they are fresh, which you can visually see. They have a good salad bar. I wish they did that by weight though. They get busy from 11:30-1:00. If you go after 1, their pizza's are rarely fresh at that point.

I got a cheeseburger and fries. The burger seemed old and barely warm on serving. The fries were not Chriapy but soggy ((. Taste was bad.

Pizza here is awesome and all organic. I'd avoid the chickenfingers... they're liable to head straight to you LDL.

It's not the greatest food on earth but if you're trapped at Overlake Hospital, the coffee is hot and the pastries are tasty.

I loved the variety of sauces and the staff's help in picking exactly what we wanted. We paired them with different types of drinks that complemented the flavors very well. For our entrées, we all ordered the Sea Bass given the high remarks we had heard, and it did not disappoint at all. It was delicious and definitely worth the price point. The space is overall excellent with a variety of seating, and the location right in Bellevue Square is perfect. Good food and great vibes!

Perfectly salted butter, and the taste reminded me of sourdough but the texture of the bread itself was like a very crispy crunchy outer layer over a martin's potato roll. - The Grand (3/5): I learned that I am definitely not a shellfish person.. so keep in mind of my biased take! I wish the waiter explained what came on our plate, but he quickly scooted away. The scallops were my favorite. Nice and mild and sweet flavor. The grand also came with 6 sauces to pair. Wasn't sure which sauce went best with which, but doesn't hurt to try? shell on shrimp and lobster claw were the second and third bests in my opinion. - Grilled Black-eyed Perch (4/5): got a smaller 1.2 lb fish. Can get it grilled and fried. Fried is ~$4 more. This fish was around 38-39/lb at the time of writing. Flavors were so great! Not a bony fish at all and didn't have to really pick at it. A tad dry in certain parts, but again, nice salty, zesty from the lemon and herbaceous. This place is definitely on the $$$ side, so can see ppl coming here for special occasions.

She ADDED to the meal experience and was so social! The wait staff, two young guys, were great as well. Ever watching to remove plates but not abrupt! I NOTICE everything so saw them keeping attention to when to clear. Most would probably not notice them. The choices were GREAT! Beef, Chicken, Seafood, and vegan! We had the Korean Cauliflower! It was so good! The flavor, the spice, and cauliflower. Just a great appetizer warm up. My other half had an old fashioned and said it was THE BEST he has had and he travels the WORLD for business. I had the Shrimp linguini and he had the Chicken Parmessan and BOTH we EXCELLENT. So many big shrimp and I WANTED to but COULD NOT finish all the pasta. Save room for DESSERT! We got both the Benginetes (sp) and the Vegan Banana Coconut Dessert and we are NOT vegan. BOTH were to die for! We do NOT eat like this normally, but made it a special dinner being between our Birthdays (16 days between). Like ooyie, gooyie DONUTS with a great cinnamon highlights, and an amazing Banana on graham crackers with a wonderful non-dairy Cocunut creme. It was smaller so not really sharable, yet PLENTY for ones entire dessert. The place is spacious yet has cozy, private areas, as well as the bar and and events area. The price was as expected for Seattle/Bellevue so not shocking. The meal and location was WORTH the $200 (with a GENEROUS tip and an alcoholic drink). There was a corporate even in the other half and we saw the plates of food being served. It was great! They seemed to enjoy their corporate dinner there.

This was while the place was practically empty, so I'm not sure what else could have been occupying their time. Second, I ordered the pork shoulder stir fry which wasn't bad but had several large pieces of pure fat & gristle in it that I felt a high quality restaurant would have taken out of the dish. It's indicative of lazy & careless food preparation skills. Also, the basmati rice was very under-cooked...some pieces were even crunchy. Lastly, after leaving the place, I realized that I accidentally left my sunglasses there. So I called later that evening to inquire if they had found them. I discovered they route all incoming calls to a bot that instantly made me feel unimportant and unappreciated. What's worse is it tried to connect me with someone in the restaurant, but kept looping back into its own messaging narrative. What an absolute PITA. This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits. UPDATE: Added one star because they actually had my shades...went ot go pick them up today.

We went through the extensive beer list and found a couple really good beers, in our opinion, that turned out to be really good beers. I ended up having a second beer, which turned out to be just as good as the earlier two beers. My only complaint, was that it was before happy hour was done, and no one asked us if we wanted any food. Not that we needed any, but it would've been nice to have been asked. Good job overall.

We were warmly greeted at the door and invited in. While walking us to our table, the owner who was seating us offered us a $4 mimosa. How could we say no, so she presented us with a few non-standard options like watermelon (and I can't remember the other types, my bad!). It turns out that it's their new brunch special, so if you accept the mimosa on the way in, it's $4, where the regular price is $10 -- definitely good to keep in mind if you're visiting during weekend brunch! When it came down to the food, I ordered the fried bologna sandwich while my husband had the tom tom benedict (green and red tomatoes). Both were quite good -- I loved the twist on the ol' bologna sandwich, though I the tom tom bene was prob our fave. Anyhow, I was suprised at how much we liked the food from this tavern, and I'll definitely include it as an option from now on, when we're coming up with places to visit. Highly recommend this place. It's relatively new, it's quite sizable, and the owners are just lovely. I do hope that more people find out about this gem and visit!
