Employees performed delivery of a new refrigerator and removal / disposal of the old refrigerator a week later. While performing this work, the employees negligently caused significant damage to my new flooring which was installed two weeks earlier. Specifically, as they removed the old refrigerator, they did not protect the new flooring and did not use an appliance dolly for proper and safe handling of the appliance. The appliance was dropped and two tears were left in the new floor. The owner said he would have someone out that afternoon or the next morning to look at repair. Nothing. When I called back, he said they would be here the first part of the next week. Nope. I spent over $7000 with this local retailer and I am not receiving any assistance with the issue that their employees caused.

We loved Northland's simplicity (no ice/water in the door) heavy duty shelves and simple design. So many refrigerators with all the fancy storage options have TERRIBLE space utilization. Anyway, we woke Sunday morning to find the temperature in our freezer was 40 degrees. We are pretty handy and figured out that the condenser fan was not working. We set up a box fan to supplement the cooling of the coils. A few hours later, we were back to a satisfactory temperature so we bought ourselves time to place a non Sunday emergency repair call. We called several appliance service companies this morning and it turns out appliance repair people don't like working on cabinet refrigerators. The company we purchased our appliances from had also offered service but has since gone out of business. Out of desperation we finally called Northland. We told them what was wrong and they told us what part we needed and offered to walk it through to their shipping department to get it out TODAY so we can have it before the holiday. The Northland repair tech was pretty impressed with our temporary fix and our diagnostics of the issue and said 'you sound pretty handy, you could fix this yourself'. He explained what we needed to do and offered phone support if we need assistance after receiving the part. It is nice to find that 8 years after the purchase that you are still happy with the company. This was an investment and not just a refrigerator. It is built into a wall of cabinets and has a custom front, so it would be a challenge if it needed to be replaced. It was nice to find out that we can also purchase an entire new cooling unit if need be in the future.

All of a sudden out of nowhere, the refrigerator started beeping 3 times every 60 seconds, LOUDLY. We have high ceilings, tile floors and granite countertops on our bar and credenza, so these beeps echo and are nonstop. I called Marvel to ask how this beeping could be stopped, and was shocked to find the answer was that IT COULDN'T BE STOPPED. Because they do not sell this refrigerator model now, the parts were not being made that would repair it so it would stop the beeping. Marvel actually suggested that I resort to Ebay to look for a part that was used and hire someone to come in and trade out the part. Of course NONE were for sale on Ebay. In the meantime, this expensive baby refrigerator drives me insane on a daily basis, as I can hear the beeping in my office on the other side of the house. I can't bring myself to throw out a $4,000 refrigerator, so I suffer with enduring the incredibly annoying noise all day, all night.

A lady named Terri Ann greeted me when I arrived and showed me several choices and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. She wasn't pushy, just wanted to answer all my questions. I made my decision and went to the front of the store to make delivery arrangements. The owner even joined us for a bit which I thought was great customer appreciation. Terri Ann made it a great experience for me, no high pressure and a smile all the way. Also, they delivered it two days later. They arrived and took our old set out, installed it and installed the new set and hauled away the old one. I am very happy with the entire experience and the people I worked with!

The unit would still not pump out all of the water. I asked to have this dishwasher replaced with a new unit because I was not keeping this one which was on its second service call and had not washed the first load of dishes. I had paid over $1,000 so I felt my request to be reasonable. I did try to buy another unit from Millards but there were none available in the finish I needed. They destroyed my check and picked up the non-working unit. HOWEVER, they sent me an invoice for $125 for installation which had a hand written note on it "You Owe This!" and underlined. When I went to the store and spoke with Greg Millard regarding this invoice, he told me what a favor he did us by not also charging for a pickup. That was a little more than insulting. This is what I would have expected from one of the "big box stores" and why I chose to pay a little more and get customer service over price. That was clearly not the case at this store.

I had a few "expert" HVAC companies come out and try to fix my boiler house setup. The reputable company out of Greenville had no idea what they were doing but still charged me a service fee. Brad from RMS came out, trouble shot, and fixed my system in under 2 hours which is less than I was quoted. Guarantee I will use RMS to install a new HVAC system for my house. Can't recommend enough!!!!
