They pump up the estimate and try and convince you that maybe you shouldn't invest in the older unit. This wasn't a difficult issue, bad outdoor fan motor. Told me the unit was so old they might not be able to get a replacement (that was false). Then it was, we can get it but it costs $800 (also false) and add labor and maybe a new blade. Seemed outrageous for a pretty simple motor. Told them I had to think about it. Tech said had to charge me for the diagnostic call but if I would authorize the repair right now he would waive the fee. I said no thanks. Went inside and found I could get the motor delivered to me for less than $300 delivered. Found another company that repaired it for less than 1/2 that had been quoted to me.

I was just scammed out of almost 4,000…read more I honestly admit I should have gotten a second opinion because that sounded like too much money for a compressor but I am a single female and I had used this company TWICE before. Nathan is a NEW owner and he took my money and pretended to install a new compressor and 30 minutes after he left, it stopped working. I called and called and he would not answer. He finally came back a few days later (said all his tools were locked in his truck) and he said he saw what the problem was and would come back in a few days to fix the "secondary" problem. All the while being as friendly as he could be. I immediately called a new company out who showed me the serial number inside was the original compressor from 2017 and NOTHING was new and it was filthy. They fixed it that night. Nothing needed to be changed out. I was able to put a stop payment on the credit card for 1/2 the amount (hopefully) but the rest was cash. (stupid). He said his card reader wasn't working. THIS IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY AS BEFORE. HE IS A FRAUD.

Estimates ranged by over $20K difference and there were so many conflicting opinions, I felt like no decision was going to be the right one. I prayed about it, felt I needed to hear one more and put a post out on FB, to which the owner, Steve, replied immediately and his lead was at our door the very next morning. Jonathan was our primary point of contact and, wow, not only is he knowledgeable, he's incredibly consultative and thoughtful. I shared with my husband how rare it is to encounter people who genuinely like to take care of others, and Jonathan set Martin apart from all the others. We discussed all the different things I'd heard and learned and he truly cleared the path with a simplified solution. When he presented me with our options, their pricing was incredibly competitive. I felt so positive about this decision. When install day came, we were blessed by Omar and Luis. Those guys are incredibly professional, respectful and you can tell they care about the quality of work they're doing. They spent 12 hours in our home and came back the next morning, smiling and ready to finish the job. Jonathan followed up with us on his day off, just to make sure we were in a good spot, and he came back on day 3 to reinspect everything, check levels and make sure everything is as it should be. I had A/C…read moreproblems so my wife got on Facebook and found him thru some people in our neighborhood. she called him and he came immediately. He checked our unit out and it was actually working fine at the time. no charge for coming out. It then went out 24 hrs later, I called him back and he immediately brought a unit out and replaced our old one because it had a bad compressor and capacitor, he replaced it, 24 hours later the new one blew a plug, he then brought out a new coil and outside unit, but he stepped up and brought a Forensic Engineer to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with our electrical system. The engineer found that the outside unit was bad from the factory. needless to say, Jack cares more about his customers than the money side of business. He charged me a very fair price and did an amazing job! I will only use Jack for any A/C wirk and he also has a great roofing business as well. if you need A/C work, give Jack a call! You won't regret it.

Had Captain Air out and had an estimate done. It was clear that the previous treatment plan from the first HVAC company would have not worked, and I would need another HVAC return and vent added based on the size of the room. I went with Captain Air, they were done within a week and the back room has been cool ever since. I think their price was fair, but more important was the fact they were able to find what was wrong and how to fix it the first time.
