This company is now part of Lex AC. I purchased a new full home replacement system in April 2023. I have required service three times as the contacts(not any related) and the blower fan, Oct 2024 and June 2026, in the air handler has failed twice. I scheduled service and was told someone would call thirty minutes before tech. No time window, just a day. I contacted them at noon to confirm still scheduled and was told early to mid afternoon. At 5pm I was told the tech was an hour out. The tech arrived and confirmed that the blower was out and would have to be ordered. The tech then went into upsell mode and from wanting to estimate for more insulation to complete duct replacement. Three year old system and multiple techs from this same company having either installed or repaired and now this tech is recommending complete duct replacement as my family sits in mid 80 heat waiting for ac to be repaired. This tech says that the old techs from Lyons "don't know as much as he does" and that is why they never recommended the upgrade. I purchased from Lyons because of the great reputation at the time. In my opinion, this is not the same company and the customer service had taken a back seat to upselling. read more

The only good part of their service call was that they showed up in 3 hours. After that downhill. Their strategy was to try and sell me a new unit. They pump up the estimate and try and convince you that maybe you shouldn't invest in the older unit. This wasn't a difficult issue, bad outdoor fan motor. Told me the unit was so old they might not be able to get a replacement (that was false). Then it was, we can get it but it costs $800 (also false) and add labor and maybe a new blade. Seemed outrageous for a pretty simple motor. Told them I had to think about it. Tech said had to charge me for the diagnostic call but if I would authorize the repair right now he would waive the fee. I said no thanks. Went inside and found I could get the motor delivered to me for less than $300 delivered. Found another company that repaired it for less than 1/2 that had been quoted to me. read more

After spending $20k last summer on a unit, I have a leak from one duct to the unit, which has caused ceiling damage. They said they couldn't come out for 3 days to add bondo to the unit, plus they wanted to charge me $90. I'm sorry, but treat your customers better and do your job. No ceiling damage is covered for faulty installation, i guess I understand that, but don't charge me for a 5 minute fix. read more

Technician was called out after my heater stopped working. I was told that both the electrical board and the blower needed to be replaced -both still under warranty (home only 4 years old). I was quoted $1,000 for travel and labor. Nothing was fixed and I was left with my house at 59 degrees expecting to wait two days for a part and $89 out of my pocket because the parts needed to be ordered. Always get a 2nd opinion if possible; I saved myself $650, my home is back warm and only a fuse in the electric board and a sensor was needed. read more

Worst AC company I have ever used. The first tech didn't know what he was talking about. He said the HEPA filter didn't need to be cleaned because the pre filter (which traps big pieces of debris) would protect the HEPA filter (which traps tiny particles). The first tech was so large he bent my ladder going to the attic. I gave them a second chance and asked for them to send their best tech out. The "best tech" showed up and spent a lot of time looking at all four units and came back to upsell me on 16-18,000 dollar worth of stuff. He showed me a model of what I needed so the AC water condensation wouldn't over flow and flood my house. It would cost $3000 dollars. A couple of days later I went up into the attics to look at the new overflow system protections on my 4 HVAC units and none of them were the system he sold me. It looks to me like he made things worse. This tech kept saying, "you can trust me, I am telling you what I would do in my house." They also had serviced another rental house done the street and they screwed that up also. Stay away from them at all cost. read more

Lyons came out and did a full check of my heating and A/C, and even installed a new thermostat that I was planning on doing myself later. I recently had a technician from Lyons Air Condition and Heating come out and troubleshoot my broken AC for $89 to find I need to replace the indoor blower motor for an astonishing $825. The tech also recommended replacing the furnace for $3,250. Find attached estimate provided by the company. [Photo_1] Following my two second opinions, I was quoted $325 for indoor blower motor replacement by Company A and no service fee. Following, Company B quoted $325 by second company plus the service fee of $60. This ends up being more than twice the highest second opinion I received. An extra $500 to be exact. The pricing is not what prompted me to write this review; rather, it was the response I received from the technician that visited my home for requesting recommendations and asking the community for their opinions on what they have paid for the same service. As shown in my text conversation with the rep [Photo_2], I inquired about the reason for not testing my capacitor during his $89 service call, something that would be normally be done. This was answered with a snarky "deal" in response. This was my only and last communication with technician about the service provided. Following a number of responses and my statement that my problem had been solved for the price that it was solved for, the owner posted the following [see photo_5] and my response [photo_6]. I was pleased where this ended, as it was never my intention to review or rate Lyons. As evident by the full thread (https://imgur.com/a/PoZq8I0), it is evident that I only presented facts and never disparaged the company (Lyons) or its representative (Jacob). However, Jacob posted the following: [Photo_3] and [Photo_4]. As you can see, this is a scary response for just requesting recommendations and sharing quotes by companies on a public forum. I think this should be a good time for reflection on the company as portrayed by its employees. Despite the emergency nature of not having AC, it may be wise to obtain more than one quote from the different companies to avoid being overcharged in a moment of distress. Given the legal threats by the company's employee, I will be updating my review in light of any further threats or violence directed at me by the employees of this company. Also, the threats were reported to the BBB and TLDR. Edit 1: Since the review was posted, Jacob Smith posted a libelous review on my place of employment. This review has been retained for legal purposes. The business owner's response to the BBB complaint also contained a number of unsubstantiated and libelous remarks which have been retained. I recommend the owner request evidence from Jacob Smith before further making unsubstantiated, libelous remarks based on Jacob Smith's false statements. read more

This is the WORST A/C company I have ever used. My A/C unit was broken for 5 days. I called and talked to so many people each day wanting my status of the fan motor that was suppose to be ordered. I kept being told by these liars that someone would call me back. It is the middle of August with 105 degree weather. I had a 5 month old baby girl in the house. No one, but no one ever called me back. I was told the manager Sal would call be right back. Three days later, he still hadn't called me back. I finally received another email telling me to except the new estimate which was a $1000 more. I called them and was told the motor wasn't even ordered yet after waiting in this oven of a house for 5 days. I then was told again the the manager Sal was going to call me right back. He finally called me back after 3 hours. The first thing out of his mouth was, "What's up?" He sounded so unconcern about my situation through out our conversation. I hung up, called 5 STAR A/C company. They came out the same day and replaced the fan motor in a 3 hours. It was also $400 cheaper then Lyons quote. I'm not giving Lyon's A'C company any stars. But I'm having to give it a star so this review can be posted. Like I said before, they are the WORST company I have ever dealt with. read more

These guys are life savers. We just bought a new house that has three air conditioning units. When we moved in, the unit that controls our upstairs didn't work. I had my Husband call first thing in the morning and they had Cole stop by a few hours later. He was awesome! He installed some new parts for two of our units and now has us on a yearly maintenance plan so our units will always be taken care of. A few days later my Husband ordered new smart thermostats for our units. He attempted to install them himself but that didn't go so well and he ended up killing power to one of our units. I called Lyon's first thing this morning to have them come out again and literally an hour later Cole was at our front door. He is THE BEST. He installed our new thermostats within an hour and answered all our questions. We are so happy with this company and thrilled we found them. This is twice now that we've had them come out for same day appointments and we've had fantastic service both times. I highly recommend this company for your HVAC needs! read more

David is our guy! He is always on time, kind, courteous and professional. He knows everything there is to know about my system and always has a suggestion as to what he would recommend. If there is anything wrong he will address it and if there is nothing wrong he will let you know. Excellent service, once again, from Lyons. First, THEY call ME to remind me it's time to change our AC filters. Secondly, they sent me a text on the day of service letting me know Cody was on his way so I had a few minutes to get my coffee, etc. Then Cody arrives, masked thank God, and very courteously and efficiently performs the necessary filter switch. And by the way, the filters are super thick, the highest grade available. Prior to Lyons, we had another company check out our air conditioners and they did a filter change. They put in these flimsy filters that were MAYBE 1/2 inch thick - completely useless and extremely cheap. I learned my lesson right then and have used Lyons ever since. read more

These guys are pretty good. I get the feeling they are a fairly young business. We first encountered them when we wanted the radiant barrier done. We have been really happy with it. We did not have any "trouble" with any of their suppliers as earlier stated. I did sign a contract earlier this summer which made this week's visit free to check our freon. That made it nice. I always want to support local Rockwall business's. This one didn't disappoint. Zach my tech was great I asked about replacing my system because it was older and he said there was no need(that's extremely rare with an ac company). My bill was half what I thought it would be. They send you text updates with your techs picture. He spent an 20 minutes explaining ways I could help prevent future maintenance. This company is rare and locally owned. It's only fair that I update this review with the end result. Lyons did pay their supplier directly after I contacted them regarding the threatening letters from Champion Air. I was contacted by the owner of Lyons who offered his apologies and an explanation of the events that ultimately lead to the supplier sending me threatening letters. The explanation was believable and I trust Lyons is being completely honest in his account. In summary; I would use and recommend Lyons for future HVAC needs. read more

My air conditioning unit went out on a very hot day. I called Lyons Air and Heat and they sent someone out right away and got it up and running so fast. David was the service person and was so polite and helpful. He explained all the repairs and cost that needed to be done. I called for 24 hour emergency service around 7pm . No one answers so you have to leave a message. After leaving a message and waiting a few hours I never received a call back. I bought a new condo in rockwall and needed a new ac unit. I interviewed several companies and Lyons was by far the most impressive. They explain the unit and services in great details. There were some kinks but the owners came out every time and even called other contractors in order to get everything up and running ... it's effort made should a big impact because service was great this is a family run operation and that makes such a big difference they are honest, dependable and care and it this shows through their service.
