I have been doing business with Keith for 5 years. You have a repair need, you can text him and he will show as soon as he can in the past. My unit is old and needs to be replaced, I have babied it for 5 years but am looking to replace it now. Keith has helped me keep it going and has done a great job. I can't lie. This year I have decided to replace it, I got some money from insurance from unrepairable hail damage and secured the remaining amount with credit to replace the my unit. I reached out to Keith to get the estimate in writing as Keith seems to only deal in texting, I have never been able to speak with him over a phone. For three weeks I have tried to get an estimate and he has said countless times he would get one to me. Still waiting. I have the text messages to prove all of this as fact. I also must say buying an expensive machine through texting that's the equivalent of buying a car is not the most comfortable thing to do. But because of my past dealings I had chose to over look this weird issue. About a week ago I found out why my house seems to have more dust than normal, I have a leak in my return ducting and it's gotten worse. I reached out to Keith to see if he could come and repair it as it was really effecting my daughter asthma. He said he would be out last Friday. He flat out no showed. When I brought it his attention he never apologized or made a point to come out, leaving my daughter to suffer, it breaks my heart that he knew of the situation with her health he's been to my home several times. So I decided to just replace the unit now instead of pushing it until next month like I was trying to do. My daughter is more important than anything. When I texted him this week (last Friday was when he was supposed to come out) that I would still like the estimate and wanted to get the unit taken care of as soon as it was possible for him he said he could do it Thursday after the 4th of July. Seeing as how we have a vacation planned I asked him to please call me so that I could ask questions about the unit size to make sure I was covering my bases, as well as set up another time for him to do it after we returned Sunday. He became what seems to be upset because for some reason he doesn't like phone calls I guess. I told him that I was a little frustrated that I couldn't have a cordial verbal conversation as I am not mad but a little disturbed by his prior actions, and I wanted to set up another time with him to install. Again texting to buy an AC unit seems really odd and again uncomfortable, he became upset and said he no longer had the time to put in my unit. This isn't the Keith of old, he's much more sketchy if he won't talk business with a phone call but wants the customer to agree to buy a $7K plus equipment through a text without answering some typical questions. Also I had to teach myself how to install ducting to insure my daughter wouldn't continue to pay for the fact he just no showed. I am not sure if the fact he was embarrassed and didn't want to face his faults or if he is just a sketchy jerk now, but be cautious. First, Keith and Rockwall Air provided, by far, the best service I have ever experienced. After 14 years, and 3 homes, I have finally found a brilliant, efficient, thorough and honest a/c company. I have used A#1 air, Air performance and One hour air, only to find they want to sell service contracts, warranties and filters before they even try to solve your current problem. Also, they always bring up how expensive freon is getting, and that its price is only getting higher. That way they can justify charging 7-8x their cost for their freon. I understand markup in business is essential, but Keith's is a fraction of this. My service call, repair and solution, with freon added, cost less than one (yes, one) of the others service calls, without repair. Admittedly, it was not a major repair, but that is exactly what you try to avoid. However, A#1 air suggested I needed a new evaporator coil at one point, and a new condenser coil at another visit. Repairs would have costs over $4,000. And this was on the smallest of 3 units we have. Neither were necessary, as Keith carefully and methodically checked all parts of the a/c system, and explained what needed to be done. Bottom line, we have a cool, comfortable home again with a new relationship with Rockwall Air, we can count on . I challenge anyone to find better service, integrity and price. You simply will not. Keith was at the top for honesty, integrity and price plus a friendly guy ta boot ! Believe me, I did my homework. His Freon prices were under 1/2 of what his competitors charged , I know, I called 3 of them and asked for prices . I simply hung up on one of them when they told me what they charged for their Freon !!!! I nearly fell off the chair ! And his service call show-up fee was slightly under all the others. I called him at 9 AM and Keith was here at my residence 3 hours later at noon like he said he would be and had my dead AC up and running cold within a 1/2 hour for much less than what I would have been gouged from the others ! I would give Kieth and Rockwall Air 5 stars on everything. Not only did he find my problem quickly but explained what was going. In addition he gave me a quick lesson on things I could do to improve the efficency of my system in ways I would have never thought of or was aware of. The lesson alone was worth the cost of the call, which was very reasonable. I have done business with other air conditioning companies througout the years and he was the best I have seen. He came out earlier than he scheduled and went above and beyond what was needed to do the job. His prices were reasonable, he is knowledgeable, didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need either. Told me about some adjustments I could do to make my unit more efficient then actually did them at no extra charge! Now not only is my system fixed but cooling my home better than before.
