Duckpin bowling was $15/person for 1 hour. Not bad, it was fun. We made sure to get a reservation since we went on a Friday night but it wasn't busy at all. We do wish the wine bar or at least the bar on the rooftop had more drink options. Not much we wanted there but the atmosphere is really cool.

When we walked in it was all eyes on us like we had walked in during a private party or something. There was a violinist (who sounded amazing btw) playing and every seat was taken. We walked to the back and there must've been a private party there cause we got looks like who the heck are you and was told there was another floor upstairs. The journey continued upstairs and we met two wonderful ladies that gave us the sitch on how this process worked. You can get online and book your lane or there's a kiosk. There's also a QR code to order food and drinks. It is a little too impersonal for me; but, maybe I'm old and need to suck it up and accept that is how stuff is going to be )I Hope not). Neither one of us were drinking alcohol so the only juice they had was OJ so we went with good old fashioned H2O. They do have charcuterie boxes for $17 which are small. We did have a blast bowling. This is duckpin bowling. It was a mash up of bowling and Bocce ball. We played two games and called it a night. They do have a special on certain days buy one hour get the second free so that's cool. Overall it was fun. I would suggest eating before you go. The charcuterie is small. I would definitely go again. Just don't go expecting good food & games.

Madeleine's is not a wine tasting bar but a restaurant with an extensive wine list (for this small town, at least). They have a fairly extensive food menu as well as many unique wines on their list. They also serve beer, if that's your thing. One of the owners seated us and let us know that we could sample any of the wines with which we were unfamiliar before ordering a full glass. Although we had not planned to eat there as it was 3pm, our husbands popped in, so we ended up with an order of meatballs too. We absolutely loved them! They had a very bright flavor with a hint of some sort of spice in the sauce, which was amazing. We plan to come back for an actual dinner at some point soon as the food that we had was exceptional. The menu is extensive; the ambience is nice; and, the service was excellent. A bit of backstory for you -- the owners had moved from New York back to Kentucky after many years in the high-end restaurant business in New York City. The "Madeline" in the name of the restaurant is not the name of either owner; it's the name of one of the owner's mothers -- traditionally done in the restaurant business for good luck!

You can stop by whenever you feel the need to taste some wine, tequila or bourbon Hannah, the manger, is so sweet. She reminds me of Joanna Gaines. She's one of those people you feel like you know and want to be around. Just a beauty inside and out. She was the only one there and had a few guests to help and she said she was having a bad day but you'd never know. She made my bf and I feel more than welcome and took care of us. We got a small charcuterie with nuts, meats and cheeses and added olives. The charcuterie was not what I was expecting from a winery. It was more of an adult lunchable than charcuterie. The cheese was like that precut Cracker Barrel cheese found in the store. I would have like to have had some freshly grated parmesan or mozzarella. Something that would pair well with the wines. I'm not a fan of Swiss. Love Colby jack and cheddar but those don't really go with the wines I had. I got a flight of white wines that are numbered in my 2nd picture. They were all pretty good but 1 & 4 were my favorites. I was able to taste a new wine slush they're offering. I chose the red wine slush over the white moscato one. I fell in love with it. I tried to get one to go but was unable to due to them not having approved to go containers for them My boyfriend got a flight of premium bourbon which he enjoyed. There are lots of cosy places inside and out to sit and sip your favorite drink. We did leave with a bottle of the # 4 wine I liked and garlic sausage though. I will definitely return for a slush!!
