There's also a QR code to order food and drinks. It is a little too impersonal for me; but, maybe I'm old and need to suck it up and accept that is how stuff is going to be )I Hope not). Neither one of us were drinking alcohol so the only juice they had was OJ so we went with good old fashioned H2O. They do have charcuterie boxes for $17 which are small. We did have a blast bowling. This is duckpin bowling. It was a mash up of bowling and Bocce ball. We played two games and called it a night. They do have a special on certain days buy one hour get the second free so that's cool. From the moment we walked in, the vibe hit -- rich colors, vintage decor, great music, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and creatively alive. Roxy herself greeted us right at the door, and that personal touch set the tone for the entire visit. The menu has great range and something for everyone. I ordered one of the 'Roxy' cocktails and a cappuccino (hey, it's called BALANCE! ) , and both were genuinely delicious -- handcrafted and thoughtfully made. For food, we went with the 'Farm-Flat' (aka Eloté) flatbread and a turkey pesto sandwich, and they were amazing. Presentation was beautiful, the flavors were on point, and the portions were so generous that we walked out with leftover flatbread (fair warning -- come hungry or plan to take some home). What really elevated the experience was the hospitality. Our food came out quickly, the staff was warm and attentive, and Roxy took the time to chat with us about local events and what makes Vevay such a special place to visit and live. This was my first time in Roxy's and it was a Saturday at about 1:30. This particular Saturday the Kat Von D black tulip field down the street was nearing the end of its life. This town was bustling with people. I walked into Roxy's and stood in the doorway not quite knowing what to do, do you wait for someone to greet you here? Still not sure about that but finally I saw a couple seats at a high top next to the bar and I walked over and sat down. The inside of the restaurant was full and the outdoor patio was filling up as well. I was right next to the bar so the bartender was right behind me and waitresses were right behind me constantly. It still took almost 20 minutes just to get a menu, as a matter of fact we did not get a menu until the waitress came over to take our order and we said we do not have a menu. My girlfriend and I decided on a flatbread to split and some truffle fries to split. We ordered our cocktails, she had The Roxy and I ordered the Carajillo. We went to order when she brought our cocktails back and she said, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, we cannot do flatbreads because the dough is not ready and we are out of the soup." So we did not want her to get away so we quickly decided on something else. My friend ordered a roast beef sandwich and I stuck with the truffle fries. The place is cute on the inside and it was clean. We received our food and the food was enjoyable, my fries were hot and crisp with a lovely lemon aioli on the side for dipping and my friend said her sandwich was good. It was a really good thing we were not in a big hurry. We will be making more trips to Vevay as very soon Kat Von D is opening a new clothing shop and we want to go to see it. We may return to give Roxy's another try when the staff is not completely overwhelmed.

As a Madison local, I go to all of the festivals in town and this one is by far the best. There are plenty of entrances, ticket tents, alcohol tents, and food vendors so there are very few lines. There are a lot of portapotties located all over so you don't have to hold it after a day of drinking! And it's a great family friendly venue. Best of all, it's very reasonably priced. This kind of festival could cost in the hundreds in a lot of locations but it's about $20 for weekend admission. And Madison Indiana is a gem on the Ohio River. It's situated about an hour from Louisville, an hour and a half from Cincinnati and two hours from Indianapolis. It's got a vibrant Main Street, lots of great boutiques and fabulous restaurants. Come down for a great weekend!!

It usually has three performers Friday evening and six on Saturday. I have attended the last five years so I feel that I have a good feel for the event. Pros: If you are a blues fan this is one place where you can catch some very top notch talent. Go to the website and see who has been there the past nine years and you will see what I mean. The setting for the music is in a natural amphitheater area rising from the river towards town. Even if you are not a barbecue fan the food is very good with differing themes of barbecue to suit all tastes. The admission price is reasonable, $15.00 for Saturday this year with a $20.00 two day price available if purchased early. You can bring in your own lawn chairs which is good because there is no permanent seating other than picnic tables (this was the first year for them). This is not noted on the website!! Cons: BEWARE the website for this event does not list all of the DO NOT's for this event. If you live a distance from Madison you will not find out until too late what you can bring into the event, or more importantly what you can not bring in. Security almost frisks everyone to make sure you aren't bringing in "outside" food or drink. No umbrellas or canopies which is okay except there is no shade and sitting in the Indiana sun in August is a real killer. No shelter if it rains either. No coolers, pets etc. Several people made reference to this during the event this year. Parking is where you can find it and often that is many blocks away from the event. Some people decide that this is the time and place to yak their heads off to their neighbors who they see every day. I am not talking a quite conversation but load, rude obnoxious behavior that would not be tolerated at any other music event. You have to buy tickets to buy food, drink etc here. If you have extra tickets you basically threw your money away. Except for the music there is no real reason to pay to get into the event, you can get food elsewhere. Bottom line: should you go, yes if you like live blues by talented musicians. The performers are selected to have different flavors of the blues. The bill gives someone the opportunity to see talent they may not have known prior to the event. This is the first place I saw acts I may not have know prior to the event such as: Davina and the Vagabonds, Eden Brent, Reverend Raven, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Deanna Bogart, Big Al and the Heavyweights. If you ever get the chance to see one of these acts do it! I would give it a 3.5 star rating overall and a 5 star rating for the actual music.

Absolutely worth the (60-mile detour) trip! The BPT sandwich (absolute steal on Thursday special $10) I ordered is excellent, crispy coating, well seasoned, just thick enough for my preference. The lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion were fresh. I basically cut it in half and had the rest of the loin later in the day. My wife got a Bootlegger Burger, she was happy with it. She did opine that the grease may have been a little past prime, but still tasty. I didn't have fries or the onion straws. We got there around 1400, there were a few day drinkers and a couple of other folks came in for late lunch. The place has a nice clean vibe to it, there are some things that signal "bar", but they have done a nice job of providing a nice dining space as well.
