When I went up to get my serving I didn't know seasoning it was even an option, but I got it each time!! They scooped a generous amount for me & tossed it in a Vietnamese chili sauce, it was phenomenal. I've never eaten it that way before, but glad to experience it! The servings were huge & they allowed me to get 3 helpings!!! When talking with the locals I was told they do free dinners numerous nights, and would love to visit again! Such a great time!

Mind you it was around 1 am... But they're business hours say open until 4am. It quickly devolved from there. My family wanted to know why they were rejected. Not a harmful question by any means. Instead of practicing a proper business model the workers or... Frankly whatever they are, proceeded to rage bait my family, and pull out phones to video the scene for whatever reason than to make themselves out as some sort of victims of circumstance? They called my brother a "privileged white boy" and then proceeded to devolve in middle school insults towards our mother who wasn't even present at the time... I cannot even begin to tell you the Jerry Springer/Dr. Phill shinanigans that went on last night at the Pearl.... But like many fancy pearls that are taken in for appraisal, this bar turned out to be a disgraceful imitation of what the city of Louisville is meant to be. After telling the people who worked at the establishment to please just go inside and lock their doors to stop further antagonizing my family, the man with the horrible bald fade and limp pancake hair flipped my dad off behind the glass door. If you want drama and a scene? This is the bar for you. If you're looking for somewhere quiet to share a couple drinks and catch up with family... Steer. Clear. This is not a place where human beings are treated fairly.

All the windows are wonderful but also make it so so cold in there you need to dress warm or you won't last long. There is a fire place in the center but it doesn't emit any heat unless you touch it. This is a great place to work at, catch up with a friend, or digest a drink. I think the drink service starts at 3 but the room is available way before that. It's off the left of the lobby and will have people working in it during the day.

Phil the bartender was very friendly and talkative and told me a little bit about the place. I think the building is very cool and I love anything vintage. I will say some things need to be updated and such. And there is a stale smoke smell in the place and I have heard it does smell like that. Overall I like how vintage it looked. Thank goodness for the beer chaser. On reflection, I would stick to the bottled offerings. The bar's specialties read like an '80s child's dream: Bahama Mama, Tequilia Sunrise, Long Island Tea. They're appealing to the casino crowd who probably can't operate their smart phones but have somehow figured out the complicated video slots and don't mind the constant noise (you can't banter with the bartender if you can't hear them). If you want food at the Center Bar, you can order from Eats. Yes on a Tuesday night with no forewarning over hundred folks from the Scrap Expo descended on the poor old Duece. Someone started the rumor it was owned by Stevie Ray Vaughn. I really doubt it. This is a great old local dive bar. They may have had there best Tuesday night on record. Cash only. Be advised. They do have a cash machine inside. They are set up for Karaoke but with only one employee there was no way he could serve and run the karaoke machine. It was very affordable place for an adult beverage and has darts and a pool table that rendered unusable due to the overwhelming crowd.
