First visit to see one of my favorite bands Soul Circus. We called ahead reservation. Tables $20 buck and well worth every cent. Limited seating. Drinks were tasty and a good pour. Service was awesome Casey and Becca thanks again. Fun private patio AKA " Voo Doo patio" see pic of wall art. Seating tables have umbrellas. Street parking free after 4 pm. Original brick walls with music pics of artists who had previously performed there and framed concert bills posters posters of many local and national artists shows from decades ago. Facilities clean No lot parking I seen. Great service. Definitely check it out especially if your looking for the local music scene.

Do you want to have a good time, good drinks, and great live music? Then make sure you go to Stevie Ray's when you're in Louisville. Myself, husband, and another couple were on vacation to do The Bourbon Trail during the days, wanted to seek out some live music at night. I heard about Stevie Ray's, and gave it a try. No cover (Thursday), bartender was super friendly and accommodating (thank you for those delicious Lemon Drops), and the band was playing classic rock with some pop towards the end of the evening. We shut the place down, definitely not crowded, but the patrons were also so nice, and liked me and my girlfriend's enthusiasm, lol. I totally recommend Stevie Ray's!

Cool place with live music. Drinks are good- service was fast for the crowd. Small patio out back with seating and a fountain. Nice & friendly atmosphere!

Highly recommend calling ahead and reserving a table! The music is great, but the place fills up fast! No food, but I saw plenty of Jimmy John's carried in! Good service both nights we were here.

A great time last night with live music. A/c was blasting, drinks were reasonably priced, music was epic, and our waitress was a doll. They had pretzels and chips available, but would have been nice to have just a few more munchies offered. Def be back!

Classic, dark, jazzy/blues bar kind of feel.

It was ok but too small. Music was good that night. It was overcrowded and no seats. A lot of standing room only. I left after 2 drinks.

Let's answer some questions…read more... DO I NEED A RESERVATION? I highly recommend it. Especially if you want to enjoy some of the more unique seating in the bar. WHERE IS IT???? Well, that's half the fun, isn't it? I will tell you, facing Louie the Troll, go east and keep your eyes open. My friends and I booked the fumoir which was a WONDERFUL surprise. Possibly the only spot in the bar that has proper doors. We each had a cocktail and got plenty of small bites. I got the Faraway Towns cocktail which was really yummy. They serve some pies, which we got the cheesecake and pecan, and those were crazy delicious. The lighting is quite dim, as expected, so please keep that in mind especially if your vision doesn't do well in such lighting. The whole experience was a lovely treat, HIGHLY recommend.

We tried walking in on a Wednesday and the host could not give us any time frame or promise…read moreanything but he said he would probably be able to make something work for us and give us a call. We were basically the only person on the list and we never got a call all night after waiting around and willing to go back immediately once he called us. I'm not really sure why he could not just offer to put us down in an open reservation time slot that was later. They definitely had some open, I was just hoping he'd be able to get us in earlier. We went back on Thursday because I really wanted to go. We made a reservation this time to be safe. When we got in, I saw how small it was so I understood us not being able to walk in the previous night. The ambiance was very cozy with dim lighting and I loved the couch seating. They had a call button to call over a waitress, and I have never seen that at any bar before. I thought it was a nice touch. Service was kind of slow but the drinks were really good.

Are we talking "On Heavens Gate!"…read more Yes, Bob Dylan, that inspirational author, songwriter, wordsmith, and artist has a Bourbon. Now they were looking for where to build his so called place to breathe life into it. That "it," place. It's not in Nashville, it's here in small little Louisville. What better place than an old church? Bourbon and Church! Amen! All are welcome! Now they don't make it here this is where they come to pour it and enjoy the flavors of it. Is life about the ride? How about dinner and some Heavens Bourbon made and inspired by Bob Dylan in a church. It's a must! Now this is a small venue and off the beaten track of life. What drew me? A large image of Bob Dylan on a building, mural style seemed out of place. Come to find out explore more and salut to a better version of heaven in this world of art, music, and words that have never been better than now. This is not just a church but the grounds house an art deco museum to his work. It's true dedication to the man of Bob Dylan. A Tennessee whiskey, distilled in Pleasureville, Ky. This the final stop here at the Last Refuge to celebrate his legacy and better aged bourbon among us.

This place came highly recommended for a restaurant to visit when in Louisville so it was our first…read morestop! Turning an old church into a bar/restaurant always makes for a unique environment. I loved walking through the rooms and seeing all the vintage details and stained glass. The Whiskey room has quite the shock factor with floor to ceiling bottles lining the walls. No complaints to be made about the service! It felt quick and smooth! The signature cocktails we ordered were very good (not pictured)! My only disappointment was the limited menu. The menu seemed to be mostly appetizers and pizza with some additional options for entrees. We ordered the Holy Fire Dip for a starter and it was delicious! It was warm and had great flavor. The waitress did need to bring more bread, the dipping options felt sparse. My husband and I split The Burnt Offering Pizza and Sanctuary Sliders, they were both solid. We both favored the pizza but would have liked more variety. I can see why this place comes highly recommended for the experience. I would definitely come back but hope they expand the menu by then!
